Dear Taron,I should have told you this a long time ago… was ponytail-pulling, ice down your shirt teasing, throw you in the lake screaming…
Strong, tanned arms and blue-green eyes over a heart-stopping, naughty grin…
Did I mention his tight end?
I gave him my first real kiss, my heart, my everything.
I said I’d wait for him…
I’m still waiting, because Taron Rhodes is still the man of my dreams,
And I have a secret that has his blue-green eyes.
Noel LaGrange stole my heart when she was only eighteen—pushing me off a flatbed and calling me a city slicker.
Her brother Sawyer would kick my ass if he knew how many times we made out that summer, how close we got.
Everything changed when Sawyer and I joined the military.
We were honorably discharged, but I didn’t go to her.
Instead, I went back to the city… where no amount of money, no amount of pills can heal this wound.
Only her whiskey eyes and dark hair, her slim arms and her sweet scent, give me hope.
I broke her heart just as surely as I broke mine, but I’m going back to make it right.
If she’s still waiting…
(WAIT FOR ME is a STAND-ALONE second-chance, military romance with a guaranteed HEA. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

This book was so beautifully written. It has a little bit of everything. Young love, secret love, promises, broken promises, small town, military, a tight knit family, and a HEA. I do love a good Brother’s best friend troupe and this one didn’t disappoint. you will laugh you will cry but more than anything you will be glad you read this book.
Taron and Raquel meet and its instant attraction. Taron and Sawyer who is Raquel brother only have a few weeks and they are going into marines. Both Taron and Raquel know this but can’t help falling in love. While in combat Bad thing happen. Can Taron and Raquel get back to the love they had. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommend
“…every time he glances up, it’s like going over that hill at the top of the old orchard road at fifty miles per hour. My insides whoosh to my throat, and all my breath disappears.”
This book had so many great moments. It brought out so many emotions…butterflies in the stomach, uncertainty, lust, passion, loyalty, heartache, confidence, regret, forgiveness and second chances.
“Heaven is finding the thing you can’t live without and being able to hold it. Hell is knowing you’ll have to let it go.”
Wow…
I’m completely blown away, but honestly, I shouldn’t be… It is a Tia Louise book and she never disappoints and she always delivers an amazing story that consumes me from the first place and Wait For Me did just that.
I predicted that this would be amazing, and I wasn’t proven wrong.
This is Noel LaGrange and Taron Rhodes story and if you have read Boss of Me, you would have met Taron… But you don’t need to read, but I will say it is an awesome read!
In this book, we have Taron, he’s in the marines with Noel’s brother. He wants to make something of himself in this world and what better way to do that than serve your country.
After finishing their basics, they are let off to go home for a few weeks and then report back. Taron decides to go home with Sawyer (Noel’s brother) and help him with their harvest. So he and Sawyer return to Sawyers family farm, and the moment Taron walked through the kitchen door, is the moment he laid eyes on Noel and his world changed.
Noel is young, fresh out of high school and getting her life ready for college. A big step for her but she loves the farm and her brother dearly and knows it’ll always be there for her when getting back from college. The moment she spotted Taron come through that door, was the moment her life began to change too. She’d never seen a guy so perfect in her life. Everything about him was calling to a deeper part of her and she knew the moment she laid eyes on him that this man, her brother’s best friend, would become someone special in her life, she just hadn’t worked out how special.
These two come together and form a strong, powerful bond and fall hard, fast and deeply for each other in the short time they get to spend together but they don’t dare let Sawyer know, in fear of how he would react to it. They wanted to keep this special and keep this amazing thing they have together for themselves and they do, but unfortunately, it was always a ticking clock and Taron and Sawyer have to leave to return to the marines and they do. Noel knows in her heart of hearts that he is the one. That their love is real. It’s pure. It’s perfect, so she is willing to wait, and after he leaves they keep in touch constantly. But this is when the story takes a turn… And you will have to read the book to find out…
One thing I will say… Be prepared for angst and emotion. It is always a given when it comes to Tia’s books and this beauty had my heart twisted in knots. The angst is….. AMAZING. I am a sucker for it and I think that is what draws me to Tia’s books so much. Her way with words and her ability to make me feel each and every word in the depth of my black heart is something special…
These two and their love story will have your heart doing backflips, it’ll have you clutching your book/kindle and wanting to slap the two of them silly at some stages but it will always have it fluttering and give you a massive smile on your face.
Well, it did for me.
I cannot fault this book. It consumed me in all the right ways and I couldn’t put it down and the times I had to… Noel and Taron were never far from my mind!
5 Breathtaking Stars!
4.5 Stars
This was such a good book. It has all the heart and feels. This book is going to break your heart, but then put it right back together again. I loved Noel and Taron. They have such great chemistry and their banter was one of my favorite parts of the book. I could hardly put this book down and the second half felt like it just zipped by. Little Dove is just too precious for words. She stole the show when she was in the scenes. Plus getting ready for ovaries to explode when she is with Taron. Those are swoon worthy moments for sure. This book made me want to go visit the peach orchard especially during the spring. I would highly recommend this book! It’s going to make you laugh, cry, and smile.
Another great story by Tia Louise! Taron and Noel were on another level of perfection! I can’t wait to see what comes next from these books.
It was a summer that would forever be imprinted on their minds. They each gained and lost so much. It was the best and the worst then he went to serve his country. When pain and addiction, wounds that run deeper than the damage done to his body. The depth of pain and the strength of healing is one thing this author does well. Her characters reach out and wrap themselves firmly in your heart. She never has them wallowing she has them moving through their grief and pain and taking you right along. It’s a read that is done well and as usual just enough steam to add to the story as you fall in love again, right along with them.
Tia Louise knows how to hit you with all the feels! A second chance romance that is full of steamy scenes, romance, heartbreaking moments that are guaranteed to make your eyes fill with water and your heart to bleed compassion. This story will sit in your heart for a while. There is no way not to fall in love with Dove, Taron and Noel or for that matter any of the characters. This book has it all so what are you waiting for … Grab It!!
Heartbreak is a hard thing to live through. The emotional devastation can be crippling. It can be just as hard to read about unless you have someone like Tia Louise to guide you through the journey.
The title “Wait for Me” already told me this was going to be gut-wrenching, but the ending would justify the means.
As a retired (though now divorced) military spouse I can relate to the battles this couple faced. PTSD is hard. Simply put. Dealing with it is even harder. Yet, Ms. Louise tells this story with compassion, realism, humor, and authenticity.
Fall in love with Talon and Noel. Fall in love with this story. Fall in love with Tia Louise.
I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down until the last. It made me cry, laugh, angry and most certainly swoon. Tia Louise has done it again. I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Such a sweet brother’s best friend/ second chance romance!! It had it’s heartbreaking as well as it heartwarming moments! And it definitely had it’s sexy moments! The chemistry between Noel and Taron was intense!! Such a great read! Loved how easy they fell in the first half but absolutely loved the slow burn of the second half!! Taron is definitely my new hero!! I’d wait for him any day! He’ll make you swoon with how he is with a certain someone!! Definitely read it to find out!! You won’t be disappointed!
4 “I’ll Wait For You” stars!
Noel LaGrange lives in a small town called Harristown in Louisiana where her family owns and runs a peach orchard on a hundred acre farm. Everything changes for her when her big brother Sawyer brings home his best friend to help with the harvest for the summer. Taron Rhodes is the sexiest man she’s ever seen, and soon they are swept up by a whirlwind romance. He’s her first love, and they share something real and special. He’s a Marine leaving soon for active duty, but they decide to live in the moment until they have to say goodbye.
After Taron was deployed, he’d always planned to come back home to Noel, but he didn’t return the same man. He was haunted and surrounded by darkness, and needed time to heal. In the process of finding himself again, he destroys and breaks Noel’s heart.
Almost seven years have gone by, and Taron still can’t let go of the past, or the girl whole stole his heart. He still thinks about the best summer of his life, and wishes he could go back and do things differently. No longer broken, he wants to make things right. He’s determined to prove himself to Noel, and show her he’s changed.
Noel is shocked to see the man who left her shattered years ago. He was gone, but never forgotten. No matter how hard she tried, she had a daily reminder with his same blue-green eyes. She doesn’t know what the future holds for them, or if she can forgive him, but the love is still there.
Wait For Me by Tia Louise is a fantastic, standalone, brother’s best friend, military romance about young love, forgiveness, and second chances. I really loved this heartwarming story, and hope we get books for both brothers!
Well Tia has done it again, she has completely blown me away!!! Taron is just so mouthwatering yummy that I could eat him up. And then him having been through what he had to go through and fight through…just shred my heart right out. And the Noel just poor girl she went through so much in her life before she was even an adult. Then life threw her a couple more curveballs one that almost destroyed her and one that saved her. And when Taron walked back into her life she definitely wasn’t prepared for that!! And he can still make her heart flip but her head says she won’t fall again. Can they get past all the hurt from the past? You will have to read and find out. This book had me laughing and crying and swooning and loving and it is definitely in my list of top books in 2019!!! I highly recommend this book!!! By Tina
Oh my Taron.
I’m so hopelessly in love with this book.
I read Patton’s book a little while ago and when i saw Taron was getting his own book i was so happy! I absolutely loved him in that book but in his own book? Words can’t describe how much i loved him.
He was amazing to read and well worth the wait, he has alot of demons holding on to him and it breaks your heart to watch him suffer with self doubt but it was so brilliantly written.
Noel was amazing, i loved her. She had her sights set on her own goals even when things went on hold but she never gave up her dream.
Honestly i don’t think i was prepared to love this book as hard as i do.
I’m looking forward to the next one!
Taron is Noel’s brother’s best friend and Noel has a crush on him. Taron and Noel had a secret romance while he was working at their family peach farm. The couple aren’t supposed to be together but things get steamy. Taron and Sawyer join the military. Something happens to shatter both Noel and Taron. Taron doesn’t come back to Noel after he leaves the military. After going through tough times, Taron ends up back in town determined to win Noel back. Noel has a secret with his green eyes that he will be shocked to find out about from her. Will these two get a second chance or crash and burn? A good read.
This is an emotional military read that will knock you on your butt. I absolutely loved this one from beginning to end. Taron and Sawyer are marines and come home to help with the peach harvest. The peach harvest is a big deal and keeps the family going. Noel is Sawyer’s sister and wants so much more from life. She wants to run her own business that sells everything having to do with peaches. Talon and Noel fall for each other hard. But what happens when he deploys? Will she wait for him?
Things happen while on deployment that change Talon and he no longer can handle things happen with himself. Noel goes to him and they have one last moment then he tells her to leave. But that one moment changes Noel for the rest of her life. Years later Talon is back to help with the peaches again. But little does he know that his life is going to change even more than it already has. Will he be able to handle it? I absolutely love the chemistry between Noel and Talon. These storyline tears at your heart strings. It will tear you apart and put you back together. Have tissues will need them. Tia did an amazing job with the characters in this one. It was an amazing well written down right enjoyable read. I cant wait to hopefully get more from these characters.
As a whole, I liked Wait for Me well enough. What I take a look back at the pieces the book ebbed and flowed for me. There were parts I couldn’t read fast enough and others that I felt like I was trudging through. I’m can’t quite put my finger on exactly why the pacing was off for me, but it didn’t seem quite to have the magic I expect from Tia Louise’s writing. All in all, I did love this story; it just didn’t quite live up to the expectations I’d built up for it.
I freaking loved Taron from the first time I met him. He seemed to have just the perfect mix of vulnerability, humor, and chivalry to call to me. And though there were moments I found him exceedingly frustrating, he continued to cement a place for himself in my heart.
It took me longer to connect with Noel, and that may be part of the reason I felt I had a hard time staying in the story. She was a lovely person, but it seemed like she was unreachable in a lot of ways. Slowly, I started seeing more and more of what was behind her shiny exterior, and I began to love her more. I learned to love her more as time went on and was happy that she and Taron found each other.
My reticence about Wait for Me is definitely a me, not the book, thing. I was anticipating the book starting much differently than it did, and my preconceived notions hindered my ability to love the story for what it was. I know, had a started reading with a clearer mind, I would have absolutely loved it, and it saddens me that I won’t ever get to experience and appreciate the story like it should have been.
I am loving this author’s books so much. This one was no different.
Taron and Noel met at the LaGrange peach Farm. Noel’s brother Sawyer and Taron are in the marines together and decide to help on farm till their deployment
Noel is getting ready to start college and Taron is leaving so this is seriously not the right time to start a relationship, but the heart want what the heart wants. And from the minute he meets Noel, he was a goner.
Noel was starting college and she knew her life would on the peach farm after that. From the moment he spoke to her Noel knew that Taron was going to be a big part of her life. But its not always roses and happily ever after. After Taron is deployed, things happen and when he is discharged he feels like he can’t go back to Noel, because she deserves someone better than him. He is not the same person he was before he went to war.
“This is what heaven must be like. Heaven is finding the thing you can’t live without and being able to hold it. Hell is knowing you’ll have to let it go.”
This book started amazing, and sweet and then it just broke my heart and I thought that there is no better people who deserve their happily ever after than Taron and Noel… Awesome story and I am so looking forward to the next book
This second chance romance by Tia Louise is sweet and heartbreakingly beautiful. I find with any second chance romance you have to break before the author puts you back together with the couples HEA. That is what the author does. She starts the book at the beginning where Taron and Noel meet then brings us to the present when they reconnect. Not only is this a second chance romance you get the brother’s best friend trope as well. Tia Louise does not disappoint. This is a must read.
I loved this book! It’s two of my favorite tropes combined: second chance romance and best friends little sister!
Taron & Noel had so much chemistry when they first met and there was no stopping the secret meet ups & kissing that summer before he was deployed. I was so hoping that Taron would go straight to Noel once he was deployed, but he’s convinced that he’s not the right guy for Noel.
I loved watching them reconnect and seeing Taron fight for his woman! GAH! It was so perfect! Their chemistry and connection were so strong throughout the whole book.
