Dear Taron,I should have told you this a long time ago… was ponytail-pulling, ice down your shirt teasing, throw you in the lake screaming…
Strong, tanned arms and blue-green eyes over a heart-stopping, naughty grin…
Did I mention his tight end?
I gave him my first real kiss, my heart, my everything.
I said I’d wait for him…
I’m still waiting, because Taron Rhodes is still the man of my dreams,
And I have a secret that has his blue-green eyes.
Noel LaGrange stole my heart when she was only eighteen—pushing me off a flatbed and calling me a city slicker.
Her brother Sawyer would kick my ass if he knew how many times we made out that summer, how close we got.
Everything changed when Sawyer and I joined the military.
We were honorably discharged, but I didn’t go to her.
Instead, I went back to the city… where no amount of money, no amount of pills can heal this wound.
Only her whiskey eyes and dark hair, her slim arms and her sweet scent, give me hope.
I broke her heart just as surely as I broke mine, but I’m going back to make it right.
If she’s still waiting…
(WAIT FOR ME is a STAND-ALONE second-chance, military romance with a guaranteed HEA. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

Wow, what an amazing book! I switched back & forth from reading to listening on Audible. I enjoyed both! I loved all of these characters & the storyline kept me wanting more. I was right there feeling all their emotions & living through every heartbreak & joyous moment!
An emotionally jam packed read of a love that didn’t gets its chance. Taron and Noel’s love story began just as quickly as it ended. Taron and Noel part with the promise of returning after deployment but promises aren’t always meant to kept. Noel is left broken but little does she know Taron is just as broken and a lot scarred. When their love rekindles it is electrifying! A definite must read!!
Wait for Me by Tia Louise brought me all the feels !!! It’s a wonderful first love, brother’s best friend, small town, military, second chance romance with a swoon-worthy hero, a young and ambitious heroine, and an adorable little girl who will melt your heart !
While waiting to be deployed, Taron Rhodes went to his best friend Sawyer’s peach orchard to help out with the harvest season. Here he met the beautiful 18-yo Noel LeGrange, Sawyer’s little sister. Their instantaneous attraction set the page on fire ! I loved that they spent their short time together understanding and supporting each other’s passion and ambitions. They declared their love and exchanged promises right before he left. But then life took a turn, what Sawyer and Taron experienced during their mission changed them, they returned home different men, wounded and broken …
Losing both parents tragically, Noel formed a tight bond with her two brothers . While helping her brothers with the orchard, she also had her own ambitions of starting an organic cosmetic line, and I can’t help but admire her responsibleness and work ethics for someone so young. Her love for Taron was pure and fierce. Needless to say, she was crushed and heartbroken when Taron pushed her away upon his military discharge. The following years had toughened her up and she’d become a mature and successful businesswoman… For her to take him back, what would Taron have to do to win back her trust?…
This story makes you understand the hardship, the challenges, and the sacrifice these military members and their families have to endure, how many of them suffer from PTSD and their efforts to get back to their normal lives. I really enjoy the small town setting, their peach harvest season and post-harvest activities… There’s a cute little girl who will play a central role in bringing everyone together , and she’ll make you fall in love with her every time she appears ! Ms Louise’s enthralling words will make you feel the intense emotions Taron and Noel went through. I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for a swoony, sweet, and poignant love story!
Wonderful 5 read!
Another great episode of RFC & Marsha & Ivan’s story.
How beautiful things are working out between the 2 of them. Though its not as easy for her so much on his tour bus with the way Ty’s reaction to her is, friccion on there then makes things unwelcomed for her.
So we see how she needs to be on her own as she’s feeling those untrusting feelings again from her past & Ivan knows she’s keeping something back from him. And they both want out of RFC even though she’s needs to have 1 more Conquest, which she’s finding it she has to try to confince Suzanne the Executive for WMO so we’re if things will work out for them to go the way they want to.
We also meet a new all girl band Joey’s Band, before they head off to their next stop over.
So I’m sure we’ll see more of them in the future.
Absolutely love this brother’s bestfriend, second chance romance! It was emotional, heartbreaking and entertaining read. Beautifully written. Adorable characters.
Thank you Tia Louise for the copy that I won through the Goodreads giveaway.
I really enjoyed this book. It had all the feels – angst, love, laughter, friendship, heartbreak, adorable child, and happy ever after. You just can’t miss with this book. The characters are so well developed you can feel what they are going through as you read, and the storyline is so well written it draws you in from the very first page and keeps you engaged until the very end. A highly recommended read.
Beautifully written second chance romance! Taron and Noel’s love story gave me all the feels. Loved everything about this book!!
Though parts of this story line were good, overall, it felt overly slow paced and drawn out. I even found myself skimming through late in the book. It just wasn’t that much of an original, remarkable read for me. I met the hero in a previous book (Boss of Me) and was definitely intrigued by his character. Maybe I thought he’d wind up with a sassy girl like his friend did. This leading lady was small town, sugary sweet. Perhaps it’s because I’ve read lots of similar themed books in the past.
Summary: Starts off and spends a lot of time in a peach orchard, love nest type backdrop. They fall in love. End up having lots of smex. He leaves due to marines commitment. Tragic thing happens where he gets injured physically and mentally in a bad place. She winds up with her heart stomped on. As the synopsis hints at, she’s got a secret. Six or seven years go by..He returns to finally see if she’ll take him back.
Btw, how in the heck did her brother not mention or discuss the “surprise” to him over the years? They stayed in contact. I don’t see how it wouldn’t have come up. Plot holes like that bother me, folks.

This is my second Tia Louise book and I really need to just sit down one day and just read ALL of her books. I fell in love from the minute I started the prologue and the only reason I put it down was because I had an appointment I couldn’t miss. But you bet the minute I was home, I had my kindle up and ready to go so I could finish this sweet Brother’s Best Friend Military Romance that had me feeling all of the emotions.
Wait for Me is the story of Noel and Taron. From the moment they met, I could feel the sparks between them FLYING! Of course he is her brothers best friend, the same brother who is now a Marine and so is he. And of course, he is leaving. UGH. Emotions people. I am a military wife, so all those moments between them as they waited to come back together… I FELT THEM TO MY CORE!
This emotional rollercoaster is sure to set your heart on fire, swooning right alongside Noel as Taron does his best to win her heart. And man, does he ever win her heart. I won’t give anything away but if you are looking for a feel good, military romance that will tug at every emotional heartstring that you possess, this is the book for you.
Now, I am going to go TBR the rest of Tia Louise’s published list because I need MORE of her!
Five beautiful stars for this heart-wrenching emotional read that will have you smiling, laughing, crying and ready to throw your kindle across the room.
WAIT FOR ME is a first love, second-chance, brother’s best friend, military, standalone romance. This is a sweet love story, but with a lot of heartbreak. It is with wonderful characters and a story stealing, lovable dog.
When Taron Rhodes finishes the Marine training camp with his friend Sawyer Lagrange, he goes to Sawyer’s family peach orchard. He has volunteered to help with the peach harvest. When he meets his friend’s sister, Noel, he has no idea his life would chance forever. She would become his first love and his soulmate, but there would be a hard limit on their time together. They would have to return to the Marines. “I’ll wait for you.” Her voice is soft, but determined just like his. “I’ve waited for you my whole life. I’ll wait for you as long as it takes.” No one can foresee the future. Or see that the unimaginable will change that future. “I now realize another day is the best we get, another chance to try again.”
I really enjoyed Tia Louise’s writing: BE THE FOUNTAIN AND NOT THE DRAIN is out on the sign in front of the small church. The pastor starts talking about ways we can be fountains, refreshing, life giving, rather than draining away the happiness from others around us.
It is a story about how family is everything. Family is something that is unbreakable. With family love and forgiveness, we are able to overcome life’s obstacles. I enjoyed reading this story, and cried with their heartbreak, and cheered with their joy.
OhMgee. This book is so freaking good. I couldn’t put it down. It had me hooked from start to finish. The emotions. Oh and the Hawt parts Oh My Word. I absolutely love Dove she is so darn cute. I need more of Taron and Noel, please!!
What a beautiful story about two people, Taron and Noel, who discover that maybe love does persevere. They meet thru Noel’s brother and there is instant attraction. Only issue is that he is leaving for the Marines and hopes she waits for him. Noel is a beautiful, young woman with a wonderful life and she wants Taron to be part of it. But something happens while he is away that threatens their relationship. While Taron and Noel have one night together, he can’t be with her and breaks her heart. Fast forward years later and he wants her back. Can she forgive him? Can he forgive her when he founds our she’s been keeping a secret? These two show that if you have faith, love can prevail. I truly enjoyed this story and didn’t want it to end! A truly wonderful read!
This was my first Tia Louise book. Wow, I have been missing A LOT!! I loved this book so much!! I went super fast and yet had so much depth to it.
We start Noel LaGrange & Taron Rhodes. The two of them fall in love during a peach harvest season. (Noel and her family own a peach plant.) It was basically an insta love story. It was a tornado of emotions in a short amount of time.
Fast forward… Taron knows that he has to let Noel because he goes off to war. But then something happens… Taron is changed forever. He feels like he doesn’t deserve Noel. Well guess what happens while he is away??? Ha, I can’t tell you. But know that it changes them forever!
This story was the perfect first book to introduce me to her writing. I am on a personal mission to discover new authors to me in 2020. I can tell you that this will not be my last Tia Louise book.
Oh, and although Wait for Me is not part of a series (although I do wish that it was more organized by. that), you can read other books by her that are side characters within this book. I am starting one of those books, Boss of Me. It is just as good!! Here are the books that I found that need to be read so that you can enjoy all of the characters…
Wait for Me (which I loved and am glad that I read first)
Boss of Me (which I am reading now and LOVING it!)
Make Me Yours (this one is coming up next for me!)
I am so glad that I discovered Tia Louise and her work! I can’t wait for Sawyer’s story!!!
~ Review by Heidi Pharo
A stunning love story that had me captivated from the very first page and didn’t let go. This book combines two of my favorite romances – best friend’s sibling and second chance. It is powerful, inspiring, emotionally raw, intense, and breathtakingly romantic. Tia delivers a story with so much heart and soul that is bleeds from the pages. The characters and storyline are very well-written and relatable. I adored the small town setting of the story too. Tia writes small town romance amazingly; I feel right at home. I fell hard for the characters and their story. Taron is a broken man who is incredibly sexy, loyal, and fiercely protective. Noel is beautiful, sweet, genuine, and resilient. The chemistry between them is undeniable and electric. From the moment they meet they are inexplicably drawn to one another; bound by something stronger than they understand. They share an intense connection on a soul-deep level that can’t be ignored no matter how hard they try to resist. Watching them fall in love was absolutely breathtaking. How they fight for one another is powerfully moving. I could feel every emotion they experienced and it was a roller coaster of emotions. Some scenes just stole my breath while others shattered my heart. The wisdom interlaced throughout this incredible story left a lasting impression. I absolutely loved every second of this book and wished it didn’t have to end! This is definitely my favorite book of Tia’s! Wait for Me is a must read!!!
Dear Lordy this book wrecked me! By far my favorite Tia book to date!! Seriously this book was just perfect.
I am a sucker for military romance and this one just pulled me right in. Taron is my new favorite hero of Tia’s! He was so strong but sweet and romantic, gahhh just loved him so much.
And Noel she was a strong independent woman with so many dreams of what she wanted to do with the family business, to help it grow.
This book was so sweet but heartbreaking. Sad but romantic. Don’t worry there is a HEA but it’s one they have to work for!
5⃣
recommendation!!
4.5 stars for Wait For Me by Tia Louise. This book touched something in my soul. This is a secret baby , second chance military romance. Taron is Sawyers new friend in the military. Before they have to leave on deployment they go to Sawyers peach farm to spend the summer. Noel is Sawyer’s sister and she is instantly attracted to Taron. They develop a relationship and soon it’s time for Taron and Sawyer to leave. Noel is waiting for Taron, they both agreed to this. Something happens to Taron during the deployment that changes him. They have one more meeting and he pushes Noel away for what she thinks is good. 7 years later things are different in both of their lives. Noel is a mom and Taron is clean and wants Noel back. Little does he know she has been keeping a huge secret from him. When he shows up on the farm this is when everything changes. This was a great story. Filled with second chances and redemption. The storyline, the characters and just everything is what makes this story amazing.
To say that Taron and Noel will be characters that stay with me is an understatement. Taron is a hero and a prince rolled into one even though he never sees himself that way. Noel is a princess and a hero as well. She has the strength of a million men plus more for all that she has gone through. I felt all of the joy and heartbreak through this book. These two characters needed both of these things to be stronger together. I was close to an ugly cry but Dove along with Akela were my saving grace. Tia Louise is making a family for four men who were brothers in arms first. I can’t wait for Sawyer’s story and hopefully Marley’s as well
If you read Boss of me you know The story or background these guy have. This is Taron’s story and what he went through. You get some more of Sawyer only because its his farm. Its great to see how differently they took that one day that changed all their lives and how they dealing with it or not
N0el Aveline LaGrange Farm girl trying to help her brothers since her parents both passed. Shes trying to go to school and start her own business but as always LIFE HAPPENS things get in the way, stuff changes
Taron Rhodes decides to go with his Marine buddy Sawyer to go help work his farm. Taron is a ladies man but hes knocked off his feet when he catches the sexiest thing he’s ever seen. Taron has so many demons he couldn’t let go he lost everything till he could forgive himself.
“I guess sometimes love makes you forget things can get better.”
“Our gazes tangles liker we’re sharing a secret, and all my good intentions slip right out the window.”
“Spoons are for suckers. You’re not using a spoon.”
“If you ever need saving, I want to save you.”
“I’ve waited so long for you to appear. You can’t hurt me.”
“Heaven is finding the thing you can’t live without and being able to hold it. Hell is knowing you’ll have to let it go.”
“Feeling him behind me , working to get his pants down made me hotter asphalt in July”
“Please,God. Please let me have lost enough”
“Maybe not, but he longs to me. I’m going to get him”
“I broke my heart just as surely as I broke hers.”
I loved this book by Tia Louise. The characters were fantastic and the romance was steamy. But most of all, she kept me engrossed throughout. Great book.
Let me start with what I loved about the book. Taron and Noel and their instant love was so sweet even when they were sneaking behind Noel’s brother’s, Sawyer and Leon, backs. You could instantly see it was more than lust and the 2 weeks they had together before Taron had leave for his deployment as a Marine. After the deployment when things fell apart was so raw and real and something you could feel with both of them.
Part of what made this story so real was the amount of time between the beginning and end of the book, about 8 years. So much happens in that amount of time and I feel like the book really captures that.
But, and I feel guilty there is a but with a book I enjoyed, part of the aspect of Taron and Sawyer being in the Marines was unbelievable for someone who is a mil spouse. I don’t want to list what I saw that was wrong but parts had me shaking my head and I would think that’s not how it works. Some of it was totally spot on and believable but I wouldn’t have read this has I realized the military aspect was in there as much as it was because I am critical of something I know enough about.
All in all I did enjoy this book even with parts I cringed at, the story was beautiful and raw. If you don’t have much knowledge of the military it would be such an amazing story, I just couldn’t get past some things.
