My life is a mess. Literally.I’m a single dad, which means If I’m not cleaning up spilled milk or changing a diaper, I’m pulling gum from my daughter’s hair. I barely have enough time to eat—let alone sleep. And women? Forget about it. That ship sailed two years ago along with my ex-wife. My brother says I need to get laid. I say, screw that. I’m content with my life, until pop star Nora Hayes … life, until pop star Nora Hayes walks through my best friend’s front door and flips my world upside down.
She’s beautiful, famous, and completely off limits.
My life is a headline waiting to happen. Literally.
It all started with fishnet stockings and ended with a baseball bat to my boyfriend’s Porsche, putting me on the front page of every newspaper and gossip magazine in the country.
My life is spiraling out of control and I’m ready to make some serious changes. What I’m not ready for is a hunky man to strut his jean clad tush into my life. Grayson Calhoun is as rugged as he is sweet. He’s also way in over his head with his kids, and I have an offer I’m hoping he can’t refuse.
What starts as an agreement, turns to a friendship, and quickly escalates to stolen kisses and heated nights spent wrapped in each other’s arms. What we have is temporary. I promise him that I won’t fall in love.
But I make that promise already knowing it’s a lie.

Single dad’s stories I get, I get that they have to balance life, work and finding love-if that is even possible. Grayson wants what is best for his three kids; he wants them happy and loved by someone that could be a mom. He just didn’t know it was going to come as a famous person.
Nora is at the top of her game, she is loved by so many and her fans are very loyal. But at what cost is it to her, she just wants to wear her own things and sing her way. Yet every time she tries she gets told what and how to act. Now she has had enough and heads to have some downtime with her brother and his wife, what she didn’t intend to do was meet Mr. Right. Nora sees just more than a single dad; she sees a kind soul trying to the best for his kids.
One cannot just love this friend to lovers to family story. Grayson might not be in her same circle, but he gets Nora’s drive, he knows the little things she adores, it’s the grand gestures. Nora doesn’t see the desperation on Grayson’s face, she sees a beautiful strong man doing the right thing for his kids.
I’m her for you. I’ll always come for you

K.L. Grayson is an amazing author! I devoured Wait For Me. Grayson and Nora’s story kept me glued to the pages. I laughed and cried reading this book. Nora is so down to earth, considering she is a major celebrity, and the way she and Grayson’s children get along so well is wonderful. Grayson and Nora go through a lot together, and their experiences only make them stronger. I highly recommend this book!
5 star review of Wait For Me by KL Grayson
Single parent romances have fast become one of my favourite tropes; in fact I would almost say I have become addicted to them.
I am new to K L Grayson and I have no idea why that is based on this book and I will certainly be looking to read more from her as soon as I can.
Grayson Calhoun is a single father to 3 and the relationship he has with his children and the way they relate to one another made for a heart warming story that drew me in and had me totally captivated from the first to the last chapter.
The very last thing that Grayson expects or needs is romance in his life. However fate works in mysterious ways and when Nora Hayes offers to help him with childcare over the summer that is what he gets.
As friendship morphs in to so much more, you cannot help but cheer for Grayson and Nora. However, will real life get in their way and force them to part? Or will these two lost souls finally get the happiness that they deserve?
This was an emotional read that certainly pulled at the heartstrings and you cannot help but fall in love with this story, I know I did. It was at times an emotional roller coaster of a read that will make you laugh, it will make you cry and it will make you swoon.
Wait For Me by K.L. Grayson is the story of Grayson Calhoun and Nora Hayes.
Nora is a famous singer who caught her boyfriend cheating. Nora decided to take a break and heads to her brother Nick where through friends she meets Grayson. Grayson is a father of three whose wife had issues that lead to them breaking up. This left him being a full time dad which he loves but it doesn’t leave him any time for anyone else much less a women. Nora and Grayson are very much the opposite of each other but the attractions and their feelings are making it hard to ignore.
Loved their story.
I so very much enjoyed this story, and one of the reasons were the children and their involvement in the storyline. I also liked Grayson’s character! Hard working, get your hands dirty type of guy and the devotion to his children and their welfare. I liked Nora and that she was a bit of a rebel, wanting her opinions and feelings to count in her own career. Their supportive families were enjoyable and funny! Over all the story is was believable and smooth reading! It kept my attention! I became anxious when things weren’t so smooth sailing for Grayson and Nora, but happy for how they worked out their issues! Great standalone!
4.5 sweet stars!
Nora is America’s sweetheart. Having been discovered at ten, she’s grown up in the spotlight. She has little creative freedom when it comes to her music and she is tired of it. People still see her as the sweet girl she was when she started but she is ready to show the world just who she is as a woman.
“Being a clean-cut good girl is part of my job description – part of who I am.
Or, who I used to be.
Times have changed.
I have changed.”
After a huge blow up with her boyfriend, Nora goes to stay with her brother until things settle down. There she meets her brother’s best friend, Grayson, who is so different from what she is used to. He is genuine and not in the business, and someone to whom she is instantly attracted.
Grayson is a single dad with three adorable kids. He has a whole lot of baggage, is busy with his kids and his business, and has little time to date. He’s not even interested in meeting someone until he meets Nora, and she turns his life upside down when he least expects it.
Grayson and Nora are so natural together and they fit seamlessly in each other’s lives no matter the differences between them. Grayson is such a sweet father and Nora is great with his kids. She can be her down-to-earth self around him and he never expects her fame to take over. They really bring out the best in each other and I enjoyed the ease they found around each other.
“When I’m on stage singing, everything is a blur of black and white. But here with you, everything is crisp and bright.”
I love that Grayson and Nora don’t just jump into a relationship. They take their time to get to know each other and the progression from friends to more is realistic. I really enjoyed watching them fall in love. Their attraction is palpable and the sexual tension is well written and believable. And when they are together, they really heat things up.
Nora and Grayson have their ups and downs but nothing is too over-the-top or completely unexpected when one person in the relationship is a celebrity. They work through things quickly for the most part and realize when they are wrong. They are a functional couple and I liked that there isn’t drama for the sake of drama.
Overall, Wait for Me is a wonderful slow-burn romance with characters who will warm your heart and a storyline that will keep you captivated. I really enjoyed this one!!
I have to add that I was excited to see more of Jackson and Allie from Stay with Me because I love when characters from previous books make cameos!
In my head I am like, ” How in the world does this author create such a beautiful, riveting, profound world that I continuously fall victim to?”, and then I quickly realize K.L. Grayson is the author that I will always, always, play victim to and here is why, her writing style sucks in me, and grips onto to me so strongly, it would be impossible for me to let go. Her characters each and every one, and the story lines, are original and even more different than the last.
Wait For Me, is the book that I have waited, and waited and waited for. I am glad to say, it was worth the wait. I truly understand now why perfection takes time, because Nora and Grayson’s story is perfect. Their story is unique, but also sensational. The chemistry was palpable. The plot made sense with the story line, and was not overzealous. There was great amount of attention to detail as to how this wonderful story and it’s amazing characters develop. And yet, I still had all the feels. This is simplicity at it’s finest. This showcases how amazingly talented this author is.
Nora is America’s IT girl, that is dying to show who she truly is. She is a lover, not a fighter, but will fight for what she wants. She wears her heart on her sleeve, but is not afraid to pull a Carrie Underwood if need be. Deep down, she wants freedom and the ability to do as she pleases. She is kind, and sincere and will do anything for those she loves.
Grayson is a God, I swear it. An amazing dad to the sweetest, but craziest babies alive. He is not your typical alpha male, who has banged every bunny in town. He is more reserved and respectful to those around him, including himself. He hasn’t had the best of this world, and yet he still lives life like it has never kicked him down.
What starts as a friendship quickly turns into more, but what happens when their two lives are at the opposite end of the spectrum, and the reality of their situations haven’t changed?
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
Absolutely blown away…. that is the best way to describe this book. Normally, I am not one to fall head over heels for a single dad…. but not the case here. Grayson Calhoun is something to write home about I loved how the author used what would be “real life” with this dad and his trio of kids. It’s totally real, and honestly makes you laugh because those of us with kids have totally had those moments!
The romance between Nora and Grayson is beautiful and will leave you with a smile on your face.
“You’re all I’ve been able to think about since the minute I walked into your brother’s living room and saw you sitting on the couch beside Jack, with Emma on your lap. I didn’t see you coming, Nora. You’re like a hurricane that blew into my life without warning and destroyed everything I thought I knew.”
I think I have found my new favorite KL Grayson couple and it is Grayson and Nora!
5 Stars are not enough for this beautifully written story that proves opposites do attract. Grayson is a single dad of three small children who just tries to make every day the best he can for his kids. Nora is the child actor/singer who needs to rebel against her iconic character and show the world she has grown up. When their two worlds collide, Nora needs to figure out how to balance the person she was and the person she has become and Grayson has to learn to trust another woman and allow her into his kids’ lives. K.L. Grayson has created not only characters the reader cannot help but fall in love with but also a storyline that they cannot put down and become completely invest in the HEA. This is a must read.
I’m so in love with this single dad romance. I couldn’t get enough of Wait For Me. This is a read that I couldn’t and didn’t want to put down. You will adore Jack, Henry and Emma. They melt your heart so. Those three kids belong to no other than single dad Grayson. And let me tell you Grayson will make you swoon and fall in love with him from the start as do his kids. I adore him. He is such a great dad and overall amazing man. Even though he wasn’t looking for anyone you sure feel the sparks begin to ignite when Nora enters the picture. You will love Nora just as much as everyone else. She is home for the summer to regroup before she shows the world the woman she has become and not this little kid she was when she started her career. She wasn’t looking for anything either. But you can’t deny that pull Nora has with Grayson and his three kids. I love how Nora just takes them in so naturally. This book has all the love you could imagine and then some. Add in a little angst between Nora being celebrity and Grayson being a regular guy and you have such a fantastic read that you won’t be able to put down. This book just melts your heart and makes you swoon.
4.5 Stars
I am such a sucker for single father books. and Wait for Me so fits that trope!
Grayson is a single father to three rambunctious kids. He’s also trying to balance a work life. Nora needs a break- and time to show her fans that she is no longer the child star that she used to be. So Nora goes to Utah to stay with her brother, which is where she meets Grayson. Their attraction is instant, and Nora forms a bond quickly with Grayson’s kids.
I loved Grayson and Nora! I loved how devoted Grayson was to his kids, how protective he was of them. I loved how real he felt, and how quickly he fell for Nora. I loved how Nora was able to find herself and grew more confident because of the support that she felt from Grayson. I loved how she was able to discover and prioritize her life.
Wait for Me had wonderful characters, a great plot, and I look forward to more from KL Grayson!
Nora found fame early in life, becoming a teen sensation and being the idol that all little girls looked up too, which was all fine and well then… but she is not a young girl anymore. The squeaky clean imagine that her manager keeps hassling her about is no longer a concern for her, she has matured and she wants her clothing and songs to mirror that. But her manager has other ideas, ones that are currently driving her insane…
And if that is not enough to deal with she just learned that the man she has spent the last year dating hasn’t been dating just her… he has a side piece, one with a large chest, blonde hair, and is currently taking residence in his shower. After a little spat with her manger all she wanted to do was escape that disaster and fall into his arms, but it appears that someone else beat her to it. Which is more drama than Nora can handle in one day, so she packs a bag and decides to do something crazy and impulsive.
Which lands her on her brothers doorstep, with no plans on the immediate horizon. All she has to worry about is focusing on finding her happy again, and create beautiful music. But that is not all that she finds on her little rural getaway…
Wait For Me is about a young woman who is tired of living up to everyone else’s unrealistic expectations, she wants to take over the reigns, and start living her life on her own terms… not the ones dictated on a darn music contract. She wants to create music that appeals to an older audience, dress more suitable for her current age, and she wants to feel sexy and appealing. And her little getaway brings her that and many more unexpected surprises! Within the pages of this beautifully crafted story you will see a timid young woman grow into a confident one, and see her create her own version of happy. I loved this story, watching Nora take her life back was inspiring, and who she chose to do it with was pretty darn inspiring too. Nothing is sexier than a single dad dedicated to his children…and Grayson is that kind of man! If you like stories heavy on feels and toe curling romance then this one is perfect for you, it’ll tug on your heartstrings and have you swooning throughout!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Nora Hayes has grown up. She’s gone from a teen pop singer, to wanting to do her own songs and dress more appropriate for her age. She’s denied at every turn and getting pretty fed up with it all. The last straw for her is when she decides to surprise her boyfriend one night after a concert. But the surprise is on her, when she gets there, he’s with another woman and proceeds to tell her that their relationship is all a show. Taking a baseball bat to his precious Porsche, and stealing his BMW does little to alleviate the breaking of her heart. She needs to get away, get away from the cheating boyfriend, the agent who refuses to allow her to change and grow into the woman she is now, and from the paparazzi. Nora been performing since she was 10 and hasn’t had a vacation in years. She decides that the time’s right and after checking with her brother and his wife, she decides to visit them for the foreseeable future.
Grayson Calhoun’s been handed a rough load. After divorcing his wife over her drug use, he fought for and got full custody of their three children under the age of six. His life was stressed, but blessed, he had a nanny to take care of the children while he was working in his shop, restoring classic cars. Out of the blue, the nanny retires, leaving him in a bind.
Then one day, he meets Nora, younger sister to his best friend Nick. He’s sworn off women but can’t keep his eyes off the gorgeous woman. Nora steps in to help Grayson out with his kids and the two become friends, but that leads to more.
I absolutely devoured this book. I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know what was going to happen next with Nora and Grayson. I absolutely loved the interactions between Nora and Grayson’s children Jack, Emma, and Henry. It was so adorable. For someone who hadn’t been around children a lot, she had a real way with them. The romance between Nora and Grayson is slow to start, but definitely heats up. You root for them and when the outside world pushes back and tries to take over, you hope that they are strong enough in their new relationship to be able to last. The writing is great, the characters are real and warm, and the storyline keeps you reading from first page to last. Such a great book!!
*I received and ARC of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I thought this was a great story and loved reading it. However, I had my doubts about Grayson because he seemed too amazing. At the beginning, Nora seemed like she needed a fresh start and I’m glad she took care of herself to make the changes she needed. Cute couple, even cuter kids.
I loved Grayson & Nora and their journey! I couldn’t put down their story.
Grayson was a single dad who was doing his best to take care of his three children. Nora has been famous since she was a child. The last thing she expected to find was Grayson & his children.
I loved how effortlessly that Nora fit into Grayson’s life & world. I absolutely adored Grayson’s three children! They were a hoot and so cute!
Grayson & Nora’s journey wasn’t an easy one, but worth it.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
‘Wait For Me’ is the latest sweet romance by K L Grayson, and i received a copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
I absolutely love sweet romances, and this book was definitely my bag. This is the second book by Grayson that I’ve read, and I love how completely immersed I become in her fictional world, and how much I adore her characters.
Grayson is a single father of three, he is struggling but is too proud to admit it. He has tried to keep their boat of chaos afloat and has selflessly put his children first. His happily ever after stolen by his ex-wife’s addiction to drugs.
So when sweet pop star Nora returns to visit her brother Nick, who just so happens to be sister in law to one of Grayson’s best friends, he is unable to focus on anyone but her. She has a way of connecting with his children that he has tried to form in their mother’s absence, and she does it with ease and respect.
Nora is on hiatus as a singer, and after catching her boyfriend cheating, causes a media storm when taking her frustrations out on his precious Porsche. You feel sorry for her naivety, wanting her to find the happily ever after that she so badly wants.
Nora’s story very much reminds me of the life of Miley Cyrus, the child star who so desperately wants to break away from the show character that she has been known for in order to show that she is now a fully fledged adult. So when she visits her brother Nick and his wife Jessa, you hope she finds the normalcy that she has been craving.
But like all romances, there are some addictively gripping moments and some twists and turns along the way. I was completely along for the ride! 5 star read for me and I would recommend to all sweet romance readers.
I just fell in love with a single dad. His most endearing qualities are his love for his kids and his total unawareness of how handsome and attractive he is. Grayson Calhoun is the all-American boy and everything a girl could want in a man. Through no fault of his own, he is now raising three kids on his own and nowhere near ready for or expecting romance.
Nora Hayes probably hasn’t made a decision on her own in many years due to her celebrity status. When she finds out that not even her relationship was of her own choosing, she cracks, leaving America shocked and some bruised egos in her wake. Going home for a well-deserved break brings peace and relaxation until her eyes fall on her brother’s sexy best friend. Grayson is a sight for sore eyes and the summer just got a little bit hotter.
This was my first book by author K. L. Grayson and I do believe also my first single-dad book. Those three kids had me hooked right from the get-go and they kept me wrapped around their chubby little fingers till the very end. Nora and Grayson fell into something special with ease but a relationship between a small-town car-restorer and a child star turned pop singer has its challenges.
Through the ups and the downs, K.L. Grayson delivered a sweet and seductive romance that made me swoon. Grayson’s utter cluelessness at times had me laughing or feeling bad for him. I cheered them on, I yearned for every stolen moment, I related to the near misses that come from having children in the house, and I absolutely adored this couple together. Grayson took his time with Nora and all their firsts made me melt.
Wait For Me was an easy read in dual POV. While I anticipated the HEA, all the drama and angst along the way kept me glued to the pages to see just how Grayson and Nora made their two lives mesh together into one. The side characters helped keep things flowing and entertaining. I will certainly be watching for more from this author to make my heart beat a happy tune.
“Wait For Me is undeniably an absolute must read!”
”KL Grayson has the ability to suck you into anything she writes and hold you captive until you are at the last page!”
Nora is a music pop star trying to find herself as a grown woman. Grayson is a single father of 3 trying to keep his home and business functioning.
These two meet while Nora is spending time away from the limelight with her brother Nick. The attraction between Grayson and Nora is instant but both have issues from their past the hold them back.
Nora is amazing with Grayson’s children and she finds herself wanting to spend more and more time with them. It becomes obvious to Grayson that he loves having Nora around and more feelings are developing.
But insecurities and deception can cause major issues if not handled properly. Is it possible for Nora and Grayson to have a relationship with the paparazzi making their life a headline?
This was such a wonderful book! Grayson is a single dad of three and Nora is a disgraced popstar looking for a break. Their story was sweet and slow burning. Each had issues but they came together for the children. Their journey to happiness wasn’t easy but worth the read.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
5 “Always lock the door” Stars
Nora Hayes is a child star that is now grown and desperately trying to shake her “good little girl” image and what better way to do that than to find your boyfriend cheating and go all homerun derby on his beloved car lol. Laying low and taking the summer off, she goes to stay with her brother and his wife. What she didn’t count on was meeting Grayson Calhoun and his three adorable children.
Grayson Calhoun has his hands full with running a business and raising three small children all on his own. With everything they’ve gone through, the last thing on his mind is a relationship. What he didn’t count on was Nora Hayes, the superstar little sister of his best friend. But, the feelings stirring within him when he sees her for the first time, yep, he’s in big trouble. Grayson and Nora have chemistry that jumps off the pages and embeds itself into your heart.
Wait For Me is the latest release from KL Grayson, and I loved every minute of it. Heartwarming, loving, and completely endearing. The writing is impeccable and I loved the flow of the story. The kiddos just added their own flare and I loved their relationship with Nora. Another great read from Grayson. Don’t wait, oneclick this one today.
