My life is a mess. Literally.I’m a single dad, which means If I’m not cleaning up spilled milk or changing a diaper, I’m pulling gum from my daughter’s hair. I barely have enough time to eat—let alone sleep. And women? Forget about it. That ship sailed two years ago along with my ex-wife. My brother says I need to get laid. I say, screw that. I’m content with my life, until pop star Nora Hayes … life, until pop star Nora Hayes walks through my best friend’s front door and flips my world upside down.
She’s beautiful, famous, and completely off limits.
My life is a headline waiting to happen. Literally.
It all started with fishnet stockings and ended with a baseball bat to my boyfriend’s Porsche, putting me on the front page of every newspaper and gossip magazine in the country.
My life is spiraling out of control and I’m ready to make some serious changes. What I’m not ready for is a hunky man to strut his jean clad tush into my life. Grayson Calhoun is as rugged as he is sweet. He’s also way in over his head with his kids, and I have an offer I’m hoping he can’t refuse.
What starts as an agreement, turns to a friendship, and quickly escalates to stolen kisses and heated nights spent wrapped in each other’s arms. What we have is temporary. I promise him that I won’t fall in love.
But I make that promise already knowing it’s a lie.

4.5 Stars!
This one had me hooked from the beginning.
Single dads are my favorite and Grayson has his hands full being an AMAZING dad to 3 of the cutest kids I have read. I loved that the Author stayed true to the dialogue when it came to Emma and Henry. It was so heartwarming to see Jack come around to Nora and how it helped to soothe his relationship with his father.
I couldn’t help but to feel a slight Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus vibe here with Nora’s character ~ and I really enjoyed it. To see her become her own woman in the limelight along with the struggles dealing with the paparazzi was refreshing.
AND the Epilogue made me cry….well done!!!
I wish I could give this more then 5 stars cause it definitely deserves it! This book has a sweet feel about it. You are able to feel everything that the characters feel at the time they are. I mean I was right there with Nora when she felt like she needed more and wanted to mold her image into maturity. She had every right to feel the way she did. 22 years old and still being pure and innocent.. no it was time for her sexy side to come out. Her manager and the rest of the team were idiots. Oh and i was cheering when she went Carrie Underwood on the car. Here’s the thing, she was young and naive when her career took off. She let her manager make decision for her which helped make her famous but she needed more. She needed to find herself and who she wanted to be. She also needed to rest. Coming home to her brother’s house was the best idea she ever had. Her and Grayson are incredible together. They had an instant attraction and connection but it was more then that. She knew what was at stake and how to tread lightly with Grayson’s situation. Grayson is a remarkable man. He thought he had found love but it wasn’t. He doesn’t regret having the 3 kids at all but he does have his hands full with them. There’s a lot of hurt in this family especially with his oldest. They need to heal and move on from the past. Grayson obviously hasn’t had the time to date, and like he says in this, who wants to date a man with 3 kids? Nora helps out in a time of need and immediately bonds with the kids. She treats them with kindness and love that a mother should. Grayson and Nora do things right in this book. They take it slow, put the kids first before them and then them. These two are honestly#relationship goals and #family goals. They are the type of family you want to work. You are rooting for them to make it for sure. Other then Loreli and her old manager, I loved every character including the kids in this book. Everything that was thrown at them, including fame and other people were handled the best way they thought. Some of it worked and some they had to work on a little bit more. I would HIGHLY recommend you read this book!!!!
I really enjoy the books by this author. I have been in a reading slump for a while and this one pulled me out of it, so 5 stars.
Nora is a child star, ready to expand her horizon and her wings at 22. After firing her manager she decides to have some time out and stay at her brother’s house. There she meets Grayson (hey, just realized it is the author’s last name haha), single dad of 3 adorable kids. His ex got addicted to drugs, so he has got full custody and he is struggling a bit – even though he loves his kids to bits. Nora offers to help him out after his babysitter has an emergency and soon she can’t deny her attraction to this great guy (and his brood). Fortunately she knows how to handle the kids (and cooking) 🙂
I liked the fact this couple knows how to communicate. That is quite refreshing. Just a very nice and sometimes steamy story. The drama stays at the low spectrum. I only wondered about Nora’s career. Did she choose it herself? It seems she was just pushed into it and then left alone by her parents, which we hear hardly anything about. Just curious. Liked her brother and sister-in-law. Wonder if they had their own book so that is next on my list to discover.
Few things, First, thanks for allowing me to read & review your latest work. I had forgotten what a great storyteller K.L.Grayson is, she grabs her readers and sucks them right in, making them invested in her characters and their HEA. Nora Hayes, reminds me of Miley Cyrus, not that I know much about her life, just that she was a childhood actress & singer, not wanting to be typecast as Hannah Montana for life, wanting her own personality to shine through but that is were the similarities end and the story gets hot from there. Grayson Calhoun, single dad with three young children, who restores classic muscle cars for a living and is best friends with Nora’s brother Nick. For more information about how this story unfolds you’re gonna have to read it yourself. Yes, it’s worth the time, effort, and money for this fabulous Hollywood story.
I absolutely adore Wait for Me by K.L. Grayson, the single dad parent trope is one of my favorites!
Nora lives a life full of glamour and fame, she has been in the entertainment business since she was ten. She has a boyfriend who understands her lifestyle, as he is also in the business. When something happens and changes the way Nora looks at things she decides it’s time for a change.
Grayson is a single father to three adorable children. Grayson’s life revolves around his children, he wakes up early and goes to bed late and repeats the same routine the next day. His best friends Nick and Jessa help him when he needs.
Nora and Grayson meet at Nick’s house, who just happens to be Nora’s brother. The attraction is immediate for Grayson, when he walks into Nick’s house and Nora is there, game over for him.
“I’m the moth to her flame. Her body calls to me, and now that I’ve had a taste of her, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to stop.”
“I didn’t see you coming, Nora. You’re like a hurricane that blew into my life without warning and destroyed everything I thought I knew.”
Nora is 23 years old and did have a lot of growing up and evolving to do in the book. She was very easy to connect to, and I completely understood why she acted the way she did. Grayson is the ultimate catch, so he was absolutely worth growing up for.
Nora and Grayson start out as friends, and the slow burn of this book is perfect. I could not stop reading, the build up of this book amazing. The characters, the story, the plot, the ups and downs, I could not ask for a better book.
This was a very interesting enjoyable book from beginning to end. Nora has always lead a life that wasn’t her own. Until one night she finally reaches her breaking point. She packs her bags and goes home to her brother Nick for the summer where she runs into Grayson and his three so very cute kids. The very first time he meets Nora she is on the couch with a very calm little girl. Who is that little girl his daughter. Who is never that calm. Nora doesn’t know what to do with herself so she offers to help Gray with the kids when his babysitter has a family emergency. The kids fall in love with her very easily. Gray seems to also until they go to LA. Once they come back from LA things fall apart. Will he be able to get over what she does and move past what she did for him and the kids or will it tear them apart? I absolutely loved Gray and Nora. These two have amazing chemistry that you can easily see. I absolutely love how great she is with all three of the kids. Just a well written storyline with great characters and emotions that you can easily feel from each character.
Oh my goodness! KL Grayson has brought us another wonderful story with Wait For Me! I absolutely loved this book and I fell in love with these characters right from the start and I know you will too! How can you not love a single, hot, wonderful father, a sweet, beautiful, loving woman and three adorable children? You can’t! So, you must check this book out!
Grayson is a caring hard working dad raising his three children on his own. He is so busy he doesn’t have time for dating or a personal life, so when Nora shows up at his friends house he is immediately mesmerized by her beauty, but it is her warm loving heart that truly wins him over. She easily falls in love with his children and is happy to care for them like they are her own. She is open, honest and fun to be around and he needs her, but she needs him just as much. These two lost souls have found something in the other that is like a magnet drawing them towards each other.
Nora has been in the spotlight, always surrounded by people yet so alone until she goes to visit her brother and happens to meet his best friend, Grayson. She has always known something was missing from her life, but Grayson and his three adorable children easily find their way into her heart right from the start and she realizes that she has finally found what makes her truly happy.
This story was deliciously heartwarming and sweet. I so desperately wanted everyone work their way through the obstacles that they are faced with and finally find their way to the happily ever after after that they all deserved.
Grayson and Nora were just a beautiful couple to read about. There was nothing in this story I didn’t enjoy.
Grayson is an amazing single dad to three of the cutest book kids. I loved how hard and unapologetically he loves them, you can feel the love jumping off the pages. Everyone needs a Grayson in their life. He’s hardworking and focused on one thing his kids happiness. Like alot of parents he doesn’t have much of a life outside work & family. Nora may be famous but she is so relatable and down to earth.
There’s nothing better than reading a love story where you can feel the sparks right from that first meeting. I loved how the author took time to build the bond not only between Nora and Grayson but with the children too. Some of their interactions were just adorable. Reading this book made me smile and left me feeling really happy and positive.
K.L. Grayson is a new author to me and after reading Wait For Me I have to wonder why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now and I will certainly be checking out her other books.
Grayson and Nora’s story captivated me I was hooked from the first page to the last line and I couldn’t put this book down. This book has it all, a single dad, adorable children, a child star trying to find herself, plenty of witty banter and just the right mix of humour and angst.
Nora is tired of the fame and lifestyle she has been living since she became a child star , she is now a woman and needs to take control of her life so she takes a break and decides to spend some time with her brother and sister in law what she didn’t expect was to fall for a handsome single dad of 3…..
Grayson’s life revolves around his 3 adorable children, he is doing the best he can for his family and is not looking for a relationship until he turns up at his friends house to see a woman who stops him in his tracks ….. can this beautiful star take to small town life with a dad of 3 ….
This is a sweet sexy friends to lovers romance and I loved everything about this book, I loved the children, I loved the adults, I loved the story and this book left me feeling all fuzzy inside what more can you ask for in a great read. I’m really excited to have found a new author who’s writing captivated me and I can’t wait to read more books by this very talented author.
I loved the kids aww they were so cute and they break your heart learning about their mother. Grayson is what a dad should be putting his kids first. Nora shes just trying to break free be her own person she want to be able to do what she wants for a change
Im Eleanor “Nora” Hayes” & ( Nora Jo Mitchell) is my fake name. Shes a teen pop sensation trying to break out of being a teen to being an adult. Shes tired of everyone pushing her to do what they want and who the want her to be. So shes taking a break to find out who she is and what she wants the first time in her life.
Grayson Calhoun divorced dad of 3 trying to do it all alone. He has no time to go out or have fun. So when his best friends sister enters he realizes how alone he is and misses having someone to count on.
Can he get past her being so young and the life she leads. Is this the life she wants and with kids. They fell fast and crashed just as fast
“Lets hope you never see how cruel I can be.”
“If you two start making out, I swear I will walk out of this house and leave you will all three of my kids.”
“What are you thinking?”
“How beautiful you are. And how badly I want to kiss you,”
“Be sure, Grayson, because I’m not like most girls.I’m not into sharing or one-night stands.”
“You are the greatest alarm clock a woman could ever ask for.”
“Okay, well, you can’t push me against the door, fuck my mouth, and then walk away.”
“Did you give her a reason to stay?”
“I gave her every reason to leave.”
“I’m here for you. I’ll always come for you.”
This book was one crazy emotional journey. I have to say I have read all of KL’s books and her writing just keeps getting better. This book holds a special place in my heart. I love a single dad romance and KL did this beautifully. The characters have both experienced so much in life and they are so different but there is a force pulling them together. I adored seeing this love story unfold. It was complex and perfection. I can’t wait to read more from KL in the future.
Wow!
This story is WONDERFUL!!!
I loved so many things about it. The beginning really drew me in right away – the way Nora just wanted to be herself. THEN COMES IN GRAYSON…I mean, HELLOOOOOO! Give me an amazing single Dad that is sweet and loyal and loves his kids to his core and I AM IN. However, I wasn’t just “in” with this one. I was SUCKED COMPLETELY IN AND COULDN’T GET OUT! I fell for Grayson so hard that I don’t think I’ll ever forget him.
I fell in love with Grayson because KL can write SUCH a great character. And those 3 kids were adorable. The way Emma says, “Nowa” just won my heart instantly.
Great read! Loving this standalone series!
4 HUGE freaking stars for this book!
I’ve been a fan of KL Grayson for a while now and this book is just one more reason why she’s at the top of my favorites list.
This author writes with her whole heart and soul.
I love the way she’s able to bring her characters to life.
Her books have all the feels, all the angst and all the humor a really good story should have. Wait For Me has all that and more.
This book has a sexy single Dad, three beautiful, adorable children, a woman who knows she needs more out of her life and a whole host of other lovable characters.
Even working 9 hour days, I still managed to devour this book. It’s that good.
Gray and Nora are magic together!
Thank you KL for sharing your amazing talent. And thank you for writing this book.
K.L. Grayson is back with another beautiful read. Wait For Me is a standalone, contemporary romance between a child star and a single father. Nora is a child star who is now 23 years old, and wants to shed her current image. Grayson is a single father of 3 children who restores cars for a living. I adored Grayson. He was doing an amazing job being a single parent to 3 young kids. He was exhausted, and overwhelmed like many parents are, and I definitely related to that! I will say the author really nailed those kids’ characters. I saw my own 6 year old son in Jack’s character a little too much! On the other hand, Nora has lived a very different life, and she was almost sheltered and innocent in a lot of aspects. I did struggle with Nora’s immaturity throughout the book, but can certainly understand why she was the way she was.
The book opens up with Nora catching her boyfriend cheating, and bashing his beloved Porsche in with a baseball bat! I was laughing so hard at this scene! She decides to hide out at her brother’s house away from all the press. Grayson is her brother and sister in law’s best friend. They had a pretty electric first meet with chemistry in spades. The only thing I personally had issue with was how fast their relationship moved. But, that epilogue was freaking adorable and the perfect end to this story! If you enjoy single parent romances, you will love this one!
* I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wow!!!! What an amazing 5 star story this was. A sweet but yet very romantic story that made me swoon.
Nora goes to her brother’s home for a few months. Some much needed rest after being in the tabloids. She’s a famous singer that was burned by people she trusted. Grayson is a single father of 3 sweet children.
This was an addictive story that I devoured in no time. Too bad I had to adult, otherwise I would have been happy to just read for hours. I adore stories with children especially as cute as these ones. It makes for an amazing storyline. Beautifully written story that was captivating and highly entertaining. Bottomline is this is a must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an amazing HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Another hit by KL Grayson. Prepare to read this in one sitting. Completely hooked from the beginning until the end. A single dad with cute as heck kids and a child star, turned adult who needs a break find love again in this swoon worthy contemporary romance. The chemistry between Grayson and Nora is electric. A definite must read!
This story was a complete weakness for me bc seriously how sweet is a single dad romance, but this went over the top & was absolutely the most swoony romantic story! Grayson was sexy, charming & even sexier while being a parent to his kids. Nora is regular girl next door with a side of singer to make her oh so appealing. The sweetness & sexiness is swirled so well within this storyline that I couldn’t stop reading. I wasn’t ready for this book to end & that was probably the biggest disappointment ever!! I loved these 2 & was rooting for them from the beginning. You don’t just fall in love with Grayson, but his kids too. They are funny, adorable & at times are definitely the main part of the story. This story is light on angst & drama, but doesn’t take away from the beautiful read.
I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
Miss Grayson was a new author to me, but now she has a fan! I love a good single parent book and this one hit me right in the feels!! what an amazing journey.
Wait For Me is a stand alone novel by K.L Grayson. This is my first book by this author and really didn’t know what to expect.
It is rare to find a story about a single dad. We’ve all read a lot of single mom stories and I was intrigued and wondered how K.L would broach the subject.
Like many single parents, Grayson is apprehensive about women and introducing them to his family. When his best friend’s sister arrives, he is desperate and her kindness is the beginning of it all.
Child star now turned adult, Nora flees to her brother when life throws her a curveball. She’s determined to make the public see her for who she is now.
I loved, loved, loved this story. I particularly loved the beautiful relationship that was developed with the children. There were a few times where I might have had shed a few tears.
Wait For Me is a beautifully written story and I definitely recommend. It was really realistic and the pace set felt organic and true to this particular situation.
Enjoy!
Wait for Me by KL Grayson gets 5 stars from me because I loved it! It’s a romance that includes a sexy single dad. This book is a stand alone.
Nora Hayes is a famous singer who needs a break so she goes to visit her brother. Which is where she Meets Grayson a sexy single dad of three.
I really loved this book because it had a great storyline and I loved the characters. Not only were Nora and Grayson wonderful, but the kids were adorable, but Nora and Grayson’s brothers and Nora’s sister in law added to the story as well. This book had me laughing, it had me tearing up, and gave me butterflies. This book was definitely steamy, the chemistry between Nora and Grayson is instant and exciting. There was also some drama in this book, with him having an ex wife and Nora being famous, some of it made me a little mad but only because it was written so well I was mad at a characters actions. Between the passion, lovable characters and the events that occurred it had me longing for more and not being able to put the book down. I would definitely recommend this book and I would love to see more from some of the other characters!!
