From an award-winning author with more than one million books sold, a new series of four heartwarming historical romances about life on the Santa Fe trail. Note: each book can be read as a stand-alone.A life-altering betrayal leaves Donna Grace alone, unmarried, and pregnant. She’s desperate to leave St. Louis, Missouri, and return to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she grew up, and the only way back … the only way back is by wagon train. The wagon master refuses to let a single woman drive a wagon without a male escort. Donna knows she can’t trust men, but it seems she’s going to have to partner with one if she wants to get back home.
Luke Russell failed to protect his fiancée. Because of his neglect, she was murdered. He vows to never leave another person to face dangers on their own and to never again open his heart to love. When he overhears Donna Grace’s predicament he offers her a marriage of convenience that they will dissolve as soon they reach Santa Fe.
But the trail forces them to work together. The birth of Donna’s baby unites them in a way they can’t deny. Will the dangers and joys of the Santa Fe Trail break down the barriers these two have built around their hearts?

I love wagon Train stories, and this one is unique. It’s a different kind of wagon train from the usual novels. There were many things to love about the story–the characters, the storyline, the romance, and the spiritual threads for the hero and heroine.
This is a clean romance. It starts a little differently as our heroine has found herself pregnant by a man who has turned out to be a bigamist. She is desperate to get out of town and return to the city of Santa Fe, her origins. She is accompanied by her sister who is going with her, but their father, who openly is ashamed of his daughter refuses to go, and without a man they will be unable to travel. Our hero is a man who travels the wagon train with his brother transporting goods. He is damaged by guilt over his former wife’s death. He overhears the conversation between our heroine and her father and offers a marriage of convenience. The descriptions of the trip are very interesting as there are adventures, and toward the end there is an unexpected twist in the story.
Linda Ford is an inspiring writer – looking forward to reading all of her books
Loved the Historical facts.
Liked this book and the characters were down-to-earth. Easy read
Good story. Liked the characters.
Donna Grace wants to head to Sante Fe and start over after being mislead by her husband and ending up pregnant. Her marriage turns out to be null and void because he was already married. Hopping on a wagon train going to Sante Fe was her option. When Donna Grace meets Luke she is hesitant to accept his offer to help her get on the wagon train by marrying her. Such a sweet historical romance.
I really liked this book, I enjoy books about wagon trains and this one was a good one.
I do like Linda Ford’s books and will watch for more!
Love and romance, along with tragedy along the way to the West.
Always love Linda Ford’s books
A delightful story filled with everything – adventure, betrayal, romance, kidnapping, inspiration and happy ever after. Thank you for this heart-warming read. I am looking forward to more, Linda!!
I just completed reading all 4 of the books in the Love on the Santa Fe Trail series. I so enjoyed Wagon Train Baby that I bought the other 3 books so I could continue to be, feel a part of the lives, courage, Faith of the brave Women, Men on the Wagon Train. I have already purchased the complete Dakota Brides series, can’t wait to read.
What a hard life this portrayed. Cheated by a scoundrel forced to be brave and resourceful. I liked how it ended but would like to read more about their lives
A very good book!
a good predictable read
Enjoyed this book. Just downloaded book 2.
Good read. The ending is a little predictable, but still worth reading.
Not believable, but sweet.
This whole world has a past that is sad. Each of the characters has had a bad experience with love. Now Luke is willing to help Donna Grace in the place of his departed love. Donna Grave needs to let Luke help her because not all men are like her ex. Add in the arrival of baby Elena and a kidnapping and this book is an adventure.
Such a sweet & easy to read book. The characters are very believable.
