Little Goddess: Book One Working graveyards in a gas station seems a small price for Cory to pay to get her degree and get the hell out of her tiny town. She’s terrified of disappearing into the aimless masses of the lost and the young who haunt her neck of the woods. Until the night she actually stops looking at her books and looks up. What awaits her is a world she has only read about–one … only read about–one filled with fantastical creatures that she’s sure she could never be.
And then Adrian walks in, bearing a wealth of pain, an agonizing secret, and a hundred and fifty years with a lover he’s afraid she won’t understand. In one breathless kiss, her entire understanding of her own worth and destiny is turned completely upside down. When her newfound world explodes into violence and Adrian’s lover–and prince–walks into the picture, she’s forced to explore feelings and abilities she’s never dreamed of. The first thing she discovers is that love doesn’t fit into nice neat little boxes. The second thing is that risking your life is nothing compared to facing who you really are–and who you’ll kill to protect.

This is an urban fantasy that has a good premise and a decent writing style. Just be aware it has graphic violence, sex scenes with multiple partners and ends on a cliff hanger. This seems to be the way a lot of writers are going now to start series and ensure that there is no resolution from one book to the other, basically trying to force you to buy the next book to see how the situation ends. That being said, I like the characters and the world building is solid, was not a fan of the end but I see how she is building up to make this a long running series. Its ok but I don’t think I will be buying book 2.
This genre isn’t really my cup of tea. The story was fairly original though in its treatment of the fairy type characters. Definitely had some steamy scenes.
Will read more of the series.
cheesy, difficult to follow who was saying what and where they were at. better descriptions would have helped
Enjoyed so much I immediately bought next in series. A wonderful twist on the far
I was thrilled to discover Amy Lane’s Green’s world. I have purchased all of this series after reading this one. It is a whole new world. It has kept me reading late into the night.
This book grabbed me so hard, I had no choice but to buy the rest of the series — so far! I hope there’ll be more!
After reading some crime thrillers this was a fun no brainer read. Very predictable and did get tired of the repeated ‘lip curling into a smirk or slight smile” quote but over all a fun quick read. I won’t be buying the next installment of the series but did enjoy this free kindle book.
Not a fan of “backstory” type writing. Couldn’t finish it.
I could not seem to finish this book. It has a lot of sexual scenes through the book. I liked the story line just not all the vulgarity. Not for younger readers.
Very different from your run of the mill paranormal romance. There is male-male, female-male, and male-male-female sexual parts in the book amongst the main characters. An interesting read though I wasn’t interested enough to finish the series after the first book. The book could use more explanation of the different types of paranormal species such as strengths and weaknesses and a general understanding of what their beliefs are generally.
Vulnerable was a wonderful adventure, filled with fantastic characters and a surprising heroine. I can’ t wait to read the next book!
Loved this book…very original!
Really good recipes, tried two already. Solid southern cooking, just what I was looking for.
Fast paced and interesting.
Did not care for it, at all!
Ended up buying the whole series, and reading it about 4 days!!!
Probably just my personal preferences, but I could not really get into this book.
I’m still reading this book. I’m not sure how it will end so can’t go higher and might go lower.
First in the Little Goddess series, Vulnerable sees the heroine on a journey of self-discovery and steamy, paranormal romance. While the upswing of action is believably engaging, the middle of the book lags in character development leaving the reader wondering about the strength of connection between Cory and Adrian. I find Green to be a more interesting and well-rounded character overall, and I would read on to find out more of his past. Unfortunately, the ending was anticlimactic and unsatisfying, so I can’t see myself reading further books in the series.
