Amazon Top 40 Best Seller I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching. But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible. The worst part is that she has no idea her … irresistible.
The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.
I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I’ve seen all of her, I can’t look away.

Man oh man.
When I saw the cover reveal for Voyeur, I immediately added it to my TBR. And then, I got an ARC, and I jumped in as SOON as that baby hit my Kindle. I was so excited. First of all, THAT BLURB. And the cover, and the fact that I’ve been wanting to read Fiona Cole for some time now, but haven’t.
Well, damn. What a ride she took me on.
I’ll confess, I’m not usually an erotica reader. There were definitely some differences in this book compared to what I usually read, and I saw that within the first few chapters. The way the story and the characters are set up, the pacing, all of it felt different.
And I liked it.
I found myself hooked, glued to the pages, flipping and flipping to find out what would happen next. ESPECIALLY after the first performance at Voyeur. What a hot concept, so forbidden and juicy, and I was sold on the experience. I wanted more. MORE MORE MORE.
I expected the hot sex. I expected the niggling feeling in my tummy as I read, a combination of, “Man, this is hot,” and “Gah, this is wrong. Should I feel ashamed to like this?” I expected the angst and tension that goes with a student/teacher romance.
And Fiona delivered on all accounts.
But, she also surprised me.
Because what I DIDN’T expect was for these characters to have such depth, for them to pull me into their story with an aching heart. I wanted them to find happiness together, and more than anything, for them to find peace.
I have been Oaklyn. I worked my ASS off to get through college, to pay my way and keep up with classes and social life. I felt for her so hard, because I know what it’s like to survive on ramen noodles, to skip meals, and to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. I instantly felt empathy for her, and the more I got to know her, the more I loved her character.
But the real stealer of the show for me was Dr. Pierce. His backstory, the scars that have smeared his relationship with sex for his entire life — gah, they just GUTTED me. I felt for him more than I can even say, and I applaud Fiona for shedding light on a VERY important issue that most of our society doesn’t dare touch, let alone write about. It was so moving, and so important. I absolutely ached for Cal and fell madly in love with him.
Overall, I am just floored by Fiona Cole’s bravery in writing about such sensitive issues with such grace. I love a story with flawed characters, with imperfect situations, and I will forever remember Voyeur for its beautiful scars. Five stars for this angsty, emotional ride that leaves you burning long after the sex scenes end.
Fiona Cole blew my mind with Voyeur! This book had it all… some angst, a little emotion, and so much hotness! It was a unique plot with a brave heroine and a tortured hero. Throw in some taboo and it’s a total win from me!
Unforgettably Fantastic!!
This book was suggested to me by four different people in a period of two days, so I had no choice, but to check it out.
Aaaand that is why my friends are so great!!
Without them I would never have known about the pure awesomeness that is this book! I’ve never read anything by this author before, despite the fact that I own a few of her books. I kept buying them, because they always sounded so great, but I never found the time to actually read them.
That is going to change today.
This story had it all. It is angsty, and steamy, and real. It full of so many raw emotions, and real issues. I was immediately captivated, and my attention was taken all the way to end.
This is a story about two people with different kinds of baggage that find each other in an unconventional way. It’s truly a beautiful thing. These characters compliment each other perfectly. Even the supporting characters capture your attention without flooding the mains. You leave begging to know their stories too!
I look forward to reading this story again and again, after I read all the other books written by this author first, of course. I am already a super fan, and I will definitely be paying it forward. I plan on getting all of my other book peeps just as hooked as I am.
This book is a total MUST READ, and absolutely on my list of favorites.
Fiona Cole’s writing sucks me in EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! I seriously can’t get enough.
Are you ready to watch???
You HAVE to read Voyeur!!!
For the love of everything bookish, read this book. I was hooked instantly, sucked in and captured by every single second of this story. This is my first read by Fiona Cole and I can say I plan to binge the rest of her books ASAP. This book was a minefield of emotions, shattering me in some parts and then binding the tiny pieces of my heart back together in others.
I fell in love with broken Cal and I loved how strong Oakley was when faced with such difficult decisions. Definitely a must read for those who don’t mind age gap, teacher/student love.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I simply would ! BRAVO, Fiona! Bravo!
This was an amazing introduction to Fiona’s work. I love damaged men. Especially reading a character like Callum. In most romances the roles are reversed.
I loved O’s supportive nature. Although she carried much pride, she was driven understanding and compassionate!
‘Pro: Go into Voyeur and feel better, imagining yourself in the place of some man who fucks Oaklyn.
Con: Make a rash decision and go inside to have your nineteen-year-old student make you feel better as you imagine fucking her.’
Voyeur gives me satifying conflicted story between a professor and his student. I think this is a bit different from other student-teacher romances because this story focuses mainly on their relationship: sharing their secrets and helping each other out. Their relationship remains in secret until they are ready to show it to the world.
I enjoyed the story mostly. It was a great read and definitely needs to be picked up if you’re craving a taboo read.
I loved this book. The hero and heroine have both been through some things that are terribly heartbreaking. But together they fall in love and help heal each other. I loved it so much. There is a taboo element to this book but I found it worked for their story. This is a story of finding your own strength when you think you’ve lost it. Wonderful 5 star read.
First book by Fiona Cole and I am a fan for life. 5+ Stars all the way. 1-Click Author. Please jump aboard the emotional train. This book delivered all the feels. There was so much steam and passion delivered in this book that I felt like I needed a glass of wine and take up smoking. Holy Hotness! I love a forbidden teacher-student romance. Please, for the love of all that is holy, R-U-N, grab this book and enjoy all the feels you will get from this book.
Voyeur is your next book hangover. The sexual tension in this book is INSANE. Fiona masterfully interweaves innocent butterflies with searing white-hot sensual heat. FIVE PAGE MELTING STARS.
Callum has secrets to protect. He is a teacher, obsessed with a student and a voyeur. Oaklyn is a 19 year old college student. She is also Cal’s obsession and student aide. A gorgeous tale of painful pasts, taboos, and the power of love.
I received an arc and am leaving a review.
Engrossing. Spellbinding. Memorable. Riveting. Provocative. I could go on and on trying to explain my feelings about Voyeur and I know, I will come up short ; this story has blown me away. Wow! There are no words I can properly express to you how remarkable I thought this book was, but I am going to give it a try .
I knew as soon as I saw the blurb that I would like this book, it was intriguing and taboo enough to make me eager to read it.
Voyeur it’s bold/entertaining/deep/troublesome all at once; don’t let the title mislead you. Yes, the voyeurism exercise a crucial role in the story but it is just a fraction of it… is so much more than that, it explores themes of addiction, non-consensual sex , desire , age gap, control , family dynamics and OCD .
It is a compelling, beautiful and compassionately written and captivating love story that had me hooked from the very beginning. This author isn’t afraid to discuss topics of sexual taboos and does it , in such a way that are eye-opener – a curveball – that keep you tether to her words.
Voyeur will stay with me for a long while and was sorry to see the story end. I loved Callum and Oaklyn journey and growth ; their emotional connection, character development , passion and love. I felt Callum’s pain , shame and struggles so vividly I wanted to hug him and tell him it will be okay.
This is a book to be read again and again.
So, can I tell you how much I love Fiona Cole’s writing? The sensuousness, the angst, the hint of taboo…it’s all so good!
From Cal’s troubled past to Oaklyn’s troubled present, my heart broke over and over. These two had so much working against them, yet they managed to find comfort of sorts in each other. This isn’t an easy lovestory. Despite Oaklyn’s unexpected maturity and resolute nature, she’s still young…off limits to Callum though he desperately wants things to be different. I wasn’t expecting his history–it was jarring, but written with care.
Filled with erotic, passionate moments, Voyeur also delivers on emotion. Pain, laughter, tears and sorrow…this book has it all!
4.5 Stars for this compelling and edgy story.
4.5 Steal My Breath Stars
Ten years and a wall of glass may technically separate erotic dancer Oaklyn Derringer, and Astronomy Professor Dr. Callum Pierce, but they are closer than she could have ever predicted.
Nineteen year old Oaklyn Derringer wants to finish college, desperately in fact. So, when her parents throw a wrench in her financial situation, Oaklyn takes a job performing at a high-end, exclusive, adult night club called Voyeur. Oaklyn has no idea that this financial band-aid opportunity is going to set her life on a different course from the one she envisioned when she became a University student.
University Astronomy Professor, Dr. Callum Pierce has a painful secret. A secret that he has failed to put in his past, so that he can have the life that he has always dreamt of; one with a family of his own. Callum has carried the pain and the shame of the events from long ago into adulthood, and it has kept him from knowing the joy found within the typical loving relationship between a man and a woman. Instead, he has wallowed in his suffering and has found an outlet for his pain; his membership and participation at club Voyeur.
When Dr. Pierce recognizes his new TA is the young woman who stole his breath during an erotic scene at Voyeur, he was rattled and shocked to put it mildly. While he hadn’t been able to stop himself from thinking of her, and dreaming of when he could see her again, he never fathomed it would be at his workplace! Thankfully, Oaklyn doesn’t seem to put the two situations together at first, which allows them to form a genuine connection in the coming months. A connection in jeopardy when Oaklyn realizes her Professor has been watching her, intently.
With an intense, raw attraction simmering just below the surface between them, it is only a matter of time before the heat boils over. Their chemistry and connection was so tangible!
This is my first experience reading a Fiona Cole book. I had no idea that she was about to take one of my favorite tropes, and turn my reading world on its axis! Ever heard of the romance genre called Double Taboo?
Yeah, me neither until this book. lol
Well….let me tell you; Fiona Cole took an already established and beloved romance trope (student/teacher relationship) and raised the panty melting stakes! It was obvious from Oaklyn’s very first club scene, that I was in for a riveting, erotic, spellbinding read. (Not to ruin things, but you all are going to love Jackson!)
Oaklyn and Callum delivered the heat and the emotion in this unique and clever romance about the appeal, the power, and the temptation of forbidden love. I was so impressed with the surprising plot twist, and the unconventional route that Callum and Oaklyn had to navigate on their way towards love. I found the characters to be endearing and lovable, and I was rooting for them with the sharp turn of every single page!
I loved the way young Oaklyn was written. She was strong, capable, fiercely determined, courageous, funny, and so compassionate. She seemed wise beyond her years, and she was such a soothing balm to dear Callum. Callum was such a tender-hearted, caring, lovable, sweet, intelligent, deep, playful, considerate, truly troubled man, with a huge heart, an enormous capacity to love, and who was scared to death that his past was going to cost him the woman he knew in his bones was meant to be his. He felt something about Oaklyn calling to him from the moment he laid eyes on her at Voyeur.
“Oaklyn was either going to make me, or destroy me.”
Fiona Cole has written a truly intoxicating, erotic romance with real depth and raw emotion. It is an addictive journey that will feel fresh and new, and surely stand out amongst other books in your library. The story is written in a tasteful way that feels realistic, as we watch the relationship between Callum and Oaklyn progress over time. The sex scenes were heart-pounding, steamy, and down right sinful in their eroticism!! I thought for sure my phone would melt as I devoured every naughty word. Phew!
Oh. So. Hot.
Wait…
Did I mention the book was hot?
If you enjoy a read on the wild side, like stepping out of your comfortable and safe library to test your own boundaries, this book should live up to the challenge. I highly recommend you give this talented new author a shot at putting you in her win column.
Let her shake you up!! Life’s more fun when you take risks!! I promise, you’ll enjoy the expperience and it is sure to give you plenty to talk about with your book besties. That right there is reason enough in my book.
Oh…you need another reason? JACKSON IS NEXT!!! There’s your reason. Now, go buy the book!! LOL
“So beautiful. Like the most intense supernova every single time…”
It has taken me a longer than usual (for me) time to get my thoughts together for this marvelous, delightfully deeper, sexually charged read which features a kinky twist on one of my favorite tropes the hot professor forbidden (but legal) student romance. Perhaps it is the difficulty I may be having in balancing expressing the real value of this read, both as entertainment and stimulating thought, with not giving away too much of this original, highly believable and inventive storyline.
The writer had me at the title, Voyeur. Romance readers and lovers can all relate to the sexiness of a consensual sexual tableau involving a “voyeur”. To insure perfect understanding…the operative word here is “consensual”. Come to think about it… with the amount of porn that is produced and viewed…add to that all the sexually explicit reading that is done…well there might just be a bit of sexual voyeur in most of us.
Voyeur in this book refers to the name of an exclusive sex club where sexual actors perform from a menu, of which they choose to consent to perform, for members who pay a high price to watch in private rooms. The touching of the performers is never permitted. The hot professor, Dr. Callum Pierce is a member of this exclusive club and his student, Oaklyn Derringer is compelled by her extreme financial situation and desire to continue her university education to become a performer. Before they meet in the classroom, they encounter one another at Voyeur. The attraction to one another is instant and illuminating…like striking a match.
“Something about her ensnared all of my senses and wouldn’t let me go. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. Maybe physical attraction? It felt bigger than that, like a planet that was pulling me into its orbit.” – Callum
“Maybe he’d be the one to request me tonight. The idea sent a thrill of excitement zipping through my body.” – Oaklyn
Dr. Pierce (Callum) is described by Oaklyn as a “Superman” or more precisely a Clark Kent look alike. She doesn’t know that her Astronomy professor was the man who caught her eye at Voyeur. Dr. Pierce knows immediately that the woman who haunted his dreams after viewing one of her performances is a new student of his as she walks in the classroom on her first day. Callum is intelligent, friendly but also secretive and filled with guilt over his burgeoning attraction to Oaklyn. He has all the makings of a devastatingly damaged alpha male hero. He has his “reasons” for being a member of the exclusive club, Voyeur.
Oaklyn is mature beyond her age. She is a petite golden- eyed beauty both caring and compassionate. Her parents struggle with money throughout her upbringing has left its mark. Yet, she is surprisingly forgiving and disciplines herself to keep any resentment about her circumstances in check. I really liked her. I liked how she was written as a character. Her actions and reactions seemed natural and genuine. She is understandably shaken when she thought what she felt from her professor was genuine growing desire, borne of their friendship and time spent together, but then found out through happenstance, that he is a patron of Voyeur and has watched her perform.
“’I felt crazy thinking I had imagined the attraction. That you would look at me a certain way, but you sure did look at me a certain way. You looked at me and saw me naked. Of course, you looked at me.’ Tears burned the backs of my eyes as I thought over the friendship we had built and how dumb I must have been to be the only one enjoying it. He was just keeping me around because I turned him on. I’d been a fool.”
Because of their emotional issues there is a full bodied believable angst based on genuine relatable human emotion and not just topical storyline “fluff”. This familiar professor/student trope involves two main characters that are flawed by psychological injury operating on false assumptions about themselves and their relationships utilizing questionable coping skills.
The story is told in alternating 1rst person POV’s. Both characters have a decidedly intense sexuality. As a result, reading this book is like retreating to a lush sensual erotic place in your mind watching their story unfold… a place of pleasure and delight…pain and ultimately healing. The sexual tension is sustained throughout the entire read. This is in and of itself no small artistic narrative feat and perhaps what makes this book so compelling…so entertaining. The erotica is blow your mind hot. Leaving you breathless!!!
The conclusion of this breathless read can only be…of course…what every romance reader craves. Yet, I admire and appreciate how there are measured doses of reality incorporated into future of Callum and Oaklyn.
Can you hear the book beckoning you to watch? It calls to the voyeur in all the hopeless romantics. Entices us with mesmerizing performances from the pen and imagination of this gifted author. Finally, it teaches us a little more about our sexuality… a little bit more about our humanity.
4.5 stars
“I didn’t deserve her, but I watched her anyway.”
Voyeur was my first book by Fiona and it left me deeply impressed. I dove in almost blind, only knowing a little. Actually I only knew the title, the cover and that everyone was already raving about it. And I’m far far away from being disappointed. So I can recommend to dive into this story blindly. If you are up to it and brave enough, stop reading my review here and get started with Voyeur!
“She gave me hope and made me want to try harder for that promise of a future.”
The story as well as the writing style of is pretty much captivating. I got addicted to turning the pages, reading every free minute I could. Voyeur is full of damn hot scenes and they are all delicate and classy at the same time. Fiona managed to find a perfect balance between describing hot scenes and developing the interpersonal relationship between Oaklyn an Callum.
“I want Clark Kent. I want the man adorably in love with the stars.” … “I want the man who looks at me like I’m more than any of those stars.”
Oaklyn is very mature for her nineteen years. It’s obvious that she had to be self-dependent from an early age. I’m impressed how she handles her life and works for her dreams. The deep understanding she shows for Callum and the way she tries to help him getting up is simply amazing.
“I always imagined you when I thought of making love to someone under the stars.”
Callum appears much younger than he is. Well, 29 is not that old but anyway… You knew right from the beginning he’s a broken man but it takes some time until we get to know the reason. Callum is an easy likable character, easy to fall and care for. It was great to read his journey with Oaklyn and the way he develops over their story.
“She made me feel so much, so much happiness, that when the darkness came, it didn’t put a dent in who I was.”
Voyeur is really something else. With the perfect balance of character development, story development and hot but classy scenes it fulfills every erotic romance readers dreams. I can only highly recommend reading this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
P.S.: And did you notice this adorable hot and classy cover? It captures the story of Callum and Oaklyn perfectly! I simply LOVE it <3
Oh. My. God….this was uttered from my mouth repeatedly throughout this book ..in the best way possible. I had no clue what to expect going in but I came away with tears in my eyes, a beautiful love story fresh in my heart and a reminder that sometimes we have to go through some hard times to get to the best life has to offer. Not to give too much away, but not only did Mrs. Cole tackle a taboo subject (teacher/student), she also took on a very sensitive subject, the secret Dr. Pierce hides from everyone, and she did it tastefully, with class and dignity. Now don’t let the seriousness of the previous sentences fool you, there was lots and lots of sexy smexy going on to keep you intrigued as well! Pull out the fans girls cause you will need them to cool you off! My point though is this book is so much more than your everyday read and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did!
As my first read from Fiona Cole, my mind is utterly blown! Such a spectacular read from her. An original story that hits on subjects that we don’t talk about in society, but done in the most beautifully respectful way possible.
I adored Callum & Oaklyn. Both strong characters that we get to watch grow throughout the story. I adored how supportive they were of each other in the times that it was needed. I have to say, I’ll be remembering these two for quite a while.
There’s a definite rollercoaster of emotions. My heart is a bit bruised, but it’s worth it. So worth it!!!!
I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!
A truly unexpected book! Yes. Part of the book is voyersim but the book is SO much more! The chemistry and intensity of cal and oaklyn is undeniable! Can’t wait to read more from Fiona!
This is seriously one of the best teacher-student romances I’ve read in a long time! Everything was handled so delicately and beautifully with even a little drama. I don’t want to spoil it but these two actually make it work without many finding out..that right there is impressive! Callum and Oaklyn have instant chemistry but due to issues that Callum has, they can’t be together the way want to be. Oaklyn is the calm that Callum needs in his life. He has had some trauma that is still haunting him to this day and the only other way to get over is going to Voyeur. Oaklynn has some challenges that come her way as well. She has to figure things out as a struggling college student. There is steamy scenes that simple as they are, still steam up the pages in this book! These two beat the odds and find their happy ending! It was a great book with characters you will love!
