Sigh…this author never disappoints, and again she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I enjoyed this one a lot. No surprise since I am a sucker for “daddy” kink books, and Daddy Geraint was SMOKIN’ hot. It was also a well-written book. It was fast-paced (and on the short side). Told in a dual POV format. The plot was engaging (although I couldn’t help but wish it had been longer). No OW or OM drama (props to the author for that). The sex scenes were hot. Both the main characters were likable. Last, it all wrapped up in an OK happy for now ending (I would have liked to have had an epilogue that showed this couple further into the future). Still, it was a fantastic read and gets two thumbs up from yours truly.
A sexy, haunting, action story. I loved it. I always fall into the books that have the mob connection in them. It scares me and excites me all at the same time to think of the men that are this alpha. I absolutely can’t wait for the next one in the series
What an amazing story from a new arthur for me and it definitely won’t be my last. This is another story about those Cavalieri Della Morte men. This is about Geraint and Branwen and how sometimes just a look can speak louder than words. Branwen has given a vow of silence for something she feels she did and Geraint has kidnapped her for what her father did to his brother and he’s out for revenge. Is it possible 2 wrongs can make it right? Can Branwen change Geraint to save her father without saying a word?
This book was so good the story just flowed from one page into another it is fast paced and short, but there’s so much packed in here you won’t want to miss out on it. This is definitely a must read.
This is just my opinion and my review
enjoyed reading the story and the steam between the two of them were really hot. i dont normally read ‘daddy’ books but with her personality and the way the author described their thought process, it worked for me. it was very well writen. there were some corny moments near the end but thats just me and it didnt tear me away from finishing. i actually couldnt stop reading and it wasnt until the very end that i realized theres a series for this! i enjoyed the story
I loved reading this! I love all of Brianna Hale’s books!
Great read! I really liked the characters.
I liked the story so much i completly forgot to write a review and wished it was so much longer. I definatly will be look for more to read by Brianna Hale!
{I received this as an ARC in exchange for an Honest review}
I Love Brianna Hale’s books!! She writes some of the best Daddy’s and Geraint is such a good one!! I loved this story!! It was Dark and sexy!!! I loved the dynamic between Geraint and Branwen! He knew just what she needed even if she wasn’t so sure!! It was so amazing!!! I read this in 2 days I couldn’t put it down. It’s different and so interesting and captivating. I love that Branwen didn’t talk. I Loved getting to see Geraint actually fall for this silent girl. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the whole books Geraint talked about how he doesn’t believe in God and how she shouldn’t either and it annoyed me honestly. Other than that I really loved it. It was so good. I love Brianna’s books and I can’t wait for more.
This was my first book by this author and now I’m a bit ashamed to admit that because I’ve really been missing out. This book has everything I like….sex, violence and plenty of emotions. It was a crazy edge of my seat ride from start to finish.
A well executed romantic suspense with a garnish of Daddy Dom
I have to say I really liked and definitely enjoyed this book. It ticked so many of my ‘required to enjoy’ boxes. It had a well thought through and engaging plot, that moved at a perfect pace.I liked both Geraint and Bronwyn, he was nicely gruff and dominant but not arrogant, she was fragile but with a core of steel. The pair of them just fitted perfectly together, with a connection that was believable and a chemistry that was hot. This was no mean feat given that the heroine spent most of the story refusing to speak.
Despite the gritty back story, and the dark setting of the book this very much had a feel of being a warm love story. That said there was still plenty of depth, intrigue and peril to add extra colour to the tale. This one perhaps wasn’t quite so tied in to the Cavalieri Della Morte element of the book, but it definitely had that organised crime vibe. This is a book I would happily recommend to others.
4 Daddy Darkest Stars!
“This will send a message to anyone else who thinks of double-crossing the Cavalieri Della Morte. Don’t fuck with us. We fuck back. Harder. “And don’t insult my mother,” I say to the corpse, giving it a kick for calling me a son of a bitch. “It might have been quicker if you didn’t insult my mother.”
Vow of Obedience is part of a series of interconnected standalones, each book features a killer, assassin for The Cavalieri Della Morte. This is Daddy Geraint’s story.
I’m not even into daddy kink, for Peter’s Sake. Hale did an amazing job of making me fall head over heels for this Daddy Dom. And I’m not even sorry. LMAO! Dark humor goes a long way for me, especially since I read captive books like I change my undies. Geraint was absolutely refreshing for an anti-hero. This guy had me laughing my booty off. Not to mention his swagger, fans self. I don’t even know how to pronounce his name. I’ll stick with Daddy.
Ha. I can’t deal with myself. This is perhaps one of the best lines I’ve ever read.
“You’ll get used to it in a bit, baby. I know it’s new and all, getting kidnapped, but you’re doing great. Five out of five.”
Anyway, Geraint stole the show. Obviously since Branwen was all cute and quiet. Like completely quiet. Vow of silence and all. Innocent and repenting her father’s sins. Quite the opposite of your fighter/crying captive. It really was refreshing as far as dark romances go. Unique and darkly fascinating! Shit, I could’ve read these two for a lot longer. I really loved the dynamic between them. I’ll end this review with another one that had me dying. I loved Hale’s contribution to this series. Geraint stole my dark heart.
“Good little Catholic girls are probably told they’ll burn if they ring the devil’s doorbell. It’s all right, baby. I’ll ring it for you.’
Another awesome book in this series and a new author to me. Not my usual reading genre – daddy dom and a big age gap, but it didn’t have me cringing. Thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and it was well written.
Geraint has just finished working when she runs straight into his arms. Woah there, what has her running like a scared rabbit straight into the arms of a wolf? She is literally shaking in her boots and unable to stop crying, so he takes her to a place where he knows they’ll look after her. When Arthur tells him that his brother has been killed, he wants an eye for an eye. The best way to bring Adelmo Lange to his knees is by hurting his family. Geraint can’t believe his luck when he sees the face of Adelmo’s daughter.
Branwen is a young girl of faith, she’s desperate for forgiveness and has taken a vow of silence. When Geraint kidnaps her to use as ammunition against her father, she thinks he’s making a huge mistake. There are things she has seen, but will never be spoken about. She works her way under Geraint’s skin, he respects her faith because his own brother shared the same values. He starts questioning himself and his plans waiver.
This was a different kind of story. Brianna Hale brings a vow of silence to her new mafia book. Branwen (love that name btw) has seen some horrible things due to her father and his mafia life. So Branwen runs away and finds herself in Geraint arms. But little does Geraint know that he had the one thing he needed to help kill the man that killed his brother.
Geraint is on a mission to avenge his brother’s murder. But the man he is after wants or needs for nothing, but his daughter is missing and could be Geraint’s’ way in. When Geraint finds out that the woman he helped into the church is who he has been looking for, he goes and kidnaps her.
These two have instant chemistry and even with Brianna not talking you get this thickness between them that you can not put this book down. Everyone going through something deep and dark like Brianna needs a Geraint and a daddy like him.
I love a really steamy daddy/little girl kink in the romance when it’s done right, and this book delivered! With a smokin’ hot Daddy Dom out for revenge, it sweetens the pot when the girl in question happens to be the daughter of the man Geraint seeks revenge on. Hot and sexy, with some good emotional torture, Vow of Obedience hit all the right notes! I wish it was a little longer – everything came together so fast. And I’m always a sucker for wanting to know how they fare after their HEA, or in this case, their HFN, so I would’ve loved to see that. This book fit right into the series though. Loved it!
Vow of Obedience is the second book in the Cavalieri Della Morte series and this novella definitely brings the heat. Geraint and Branwen’s story is steamy, suspenseful and intriguing. I enjoyed the DD/LG dynamic between them and how their relationship developed. The sizzling chemistry between these two and the touch of darkness had me hooked and I loved me some Daddy Geraint. This fast-paced, action- packed, and thrilling series just keeps getting better and I can’t wait to meet more of the Cavalieri.
Goodness me, Brianna Hale always drags me out of my reading comfort zone with her daddy-kink books! I feel all kinds of dirty loving them. Beautiful writing, steamy goodness, dark and gritty and so damn engaging. I enjoyed from page one. You’re going to fall hard for this dark hero!
Vow of Obedience (The Knight’s of Death) is a standalone story in the Cavalieri Della Morte series. This book focuses on hit man Geraint who sets out to avenge his brother’s death. Geraint happens to cross paths with his brother killer’s daughter named Branwen when she passed out in his arms. He didn’t know who she was at that time and he left her on chuch steps. Fast forward to about 5 months later and he learns that the girl he saved is his enemy’s daughter. Geraint immediately steals her away from the church where he plans to take her across country. He planned on
using her as bait to draw out his main catch. Branwen was just a means to an end, until she flipped the script and made a vow of obedience to Daddy Geraint. The novella is hot, raw, intense, suspenseful, provocative and full of daddy kink. It is on the novella side short but full of story. This has great plot, interesting characters and unique twists. I enjoyed reading this standalone book in this series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
WOW can someone just tell me what I read because The Cavalieri Della Morte series is off the chain! Book one had me but Vow of Obedience had me at the edge of the seat waiting to see what is next. I loved every moment of it and i got to the end and yell oh hell to the no at the end because I needed no wanted more because Geraint and Branwen were an amazing couple as well as on their own. They held it down and Geraint swears to take care of Branwen and boy oh boy does he.
Geraint wants revenge on the man who killed his brother and he is going to get it no matter what it takes. Only when he goes to get Adelmo he sees his daughter and caught off guard and wants her for himself. Only Branwen has taken a vow of silence to atone for her sins and she is not interested in Geraint. But Geraint is determined to get his girl and he will do whatever it takes to get her and take down her father.
Will Geraint be able to get his vengeance? Or will he abort his plans for something else? Will Geraint get Branwen?
Definitely one wild and crazy ride. This series of books has turned out to be very interesting and dark. Which I always enjoy. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
This is the second book in the “Cavalieri
Della Morte” series, and I’m happy to say
that I enjoyed it immensely. It had me losing
sleep because I couldn’t put it down. I think
even though there’s things people might not like,
they have to look beyond that and see what it’s really
about…Geraint and Branwen both found each other
in the middle of the chaos surrounding them.
It truly was an enjoyable experience, loved the dark, twisted,
chaotic world the author built.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the second of the Cavalieri Della Morte books. However they can be read as standalone’s as each book is about a different couple. In this book we meet Geriant on f the Cavalieri Della Morte men who are at the top of their game. However when he finds out that his brother has been killed by the crime boss that is so reclusive no one can get near him. Now he vows to take him down and is on a mission. However he sure never expects to need the girl who he saved one night running in the rain and passing out in his arms that he left in a church in Texas. Get ready for a road trip you soon will not forget and for Branwen to be silent for most of the book. However with that little tidbit revealed I thought it was so amazing and really added to the story how she and Geriant could communicate without her saying a world. I loved this couple. I loved their story and I can not wait for more.
