4.5 Vow Stars!
Vow picked up where Duty left off. Andino and Haven picking up the pieces and trying to move on but things are never that simple especially when you’re a Marcello with the Calabrese family starting trouble in the streets. Haven kept busy packing up her house and waiting for her club to sell but after hearing Andino got hurt she had to reach out to make sure he was okay.
I was not a fan of how Andino handled things between him and Haven. He could’ve done things differently and saved her all the heartache but he was selfish and couldn’t let her go. He had his reasons and needed to do things his way. In the end he got what he wanted.
Andino and Haven stole my heart in the previous book, two people who belong together but destiny keeps them apart.
Andino is a sneaky sneaky man and I loved him for it. His destiny is to be the new Marcello Boss his honour to his famliglia has never been questioned until now. The sexual chemistry between them is red hot. Haven is fighting between her head and her heart she knows she needs to resist but when he turns on the charm who could resist.
I enjoyed reading all Andino’s machinations it shows just what he’s capable of and what kind of Boss he is going to be. I’m looking forward to future books where we see him in action again. Loved all the back and forth and seeing some of my favourite men again.
This is one of my favourite mafia series it just gets better with every book the author releases.
The conclusion to the Andino + Haven duet by Bethany-Kris. BK knows how to keep her readers hooked and on the edge of their seats. Vow is a story of heartbreak, second chances, manipulation and love. Love for family, duty and self. Andino appears to do what is expected of him regardless of who gets hurt in the process but his eye is on the prize, Haven. His motives are cunning and calculated. Bethany-Kris has once again amazed me with her words. I highly recommend this series.
Haven was leaving, her mother’s cancer had returned, and she didn’t need to be here anymore. Listening to the radio she heard about a shooting, and Andino had been shot.
Haven was taking Andino in and she should have said no to him, he was fine, then, she saw his injury. After some clarity, that he discarded her she goes to leave, but he stopped her with a kiss, she couldn’t resist him and agrees to be his for the night.
Andino can’t stay away from Haven, he loves her more than anything, but he has to set things in place to get what he wants in the end, which includes agreeing to marry Ginevra Calabrese as a way to make peace between the families.
Andino is doing everything he can to ensure that Haven will be his, but he can’t let her know any of his plans and he knows he’s hurting her.
Haven knows the only way to stop Andino from hurting her is to leave as much as she loves him, and he says he loves her. Haven calls her mother to let her know when she will be arriving but her mother pics up on what is wrong, Haven lets her know love shouldn’t hurt, her mother says love is crazy,
– It is worth the pain, and hurt, and everything else that comes along with it – what does the Phoenix do?
– It Rises
– It Rises and so does love – if that’s what you want.
Haven wonders has she made the right choice, should she let him explain or was it all too late.
Andino is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He has to decide how he is going to live his life. If he sacrifices to the point of losing Haven, he will never be happy. He is set on protecting his family and eventually being a good boss and head of the family. Yet, the thought of losing his soulmate in the process is not how he wants to live his life.
The Calabrese family is ready to get their revenge one way or the other. Andino is now in the middle of this and blood will flow if he is unable to handle this right. In addition, John and Sienna … what will become of them?
This book was a welcomed entertainment that kept me reading it in one sitting. Too many things going on to lose the thread of all that is happening as Andino masterminds his revenge and seeks to save all the people from irreparable hurt.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
I was curious on how this would turn out for Andi and Haven. I knew Andi would win the girl, but what was the price he would have to pay to get her? Pretty emotional journey Andi had to go though to protect his family and to get Haven.
