Void. Just. Wow. I haven’t read a PNR that good in a while. I’ve only read one RH previously, but wasn’t wowed because of my inability to connect with all of the male characters. And that is what romance is all about for me: The connection between the hero(s) and heroine. I had no difficulty feeling that connection in Void. Devicka and her men have a turbulent journey that tests the willpower of everyone involved. But the bond that they end up with is worth the struggle. Their story is the epitome of enemies to lovers/bully romance, so if you enjoy the push and pull before the HEA, this is the book for you!
I was instantly hooked. This story is great and I love how its not a straight forward bully romance. It does have the vibes, but its not like extreme. The characters really spoke to me and I was realllyy surprised by the ending.
AH-MAZING!!
First book by Raven Kennedy and Coralee June and there are no words to explain how great this book was. There are very few times that you want to give a book more than 5 Stars… this is one of those times. This book grabbed me from the beginning and did not let me go. All. The. Feels. !!!
These 2 authors will definitely be 1-Clicks for me!
This book combines all the elements of romance, suspense, paranormal, and steamy scenes. The writing is superb and I couldn’t put this book down.Highly recommended.
Just what my book slump needed
This paranormal world was just what I needed to get lost on, the romance was only just a cherry with steamy scenes on top.
Categorised as a pnr, rh, bully romance. Void held so much more with non-stop action and characters that just mistified me, having never read these authors before and only going by rec I went in blind, not only do I highly recomend this standalone but I will definetly be on the look out for more from them.
5 stars for Void by Coralee June And Raven Kennedy. This book is a Paranormal Reverse Harem bully romance. It is also a standalone , but man do I want more from these characters. Devicka or The Void as she is called has had a rough life since her powers first came to her. She has been kept away from the paranormal world most of her life , only being called when they needed her powers. Now since they have seen her powers can do more than they thought they want to send her to a school that will help her, Hopefully. Now face to face the new Paragons and a weird attraction to them what will happen. Quade is the boy from her past who she thought was her best friend, but he is no friend now. Render is the vampire paragon and he wants her blood but why. Gritt the shifter who hates her and my favorite is Hyde the necromancer who doesn’t know what to think of Devi.
“Fate had planted destruction like a weed in my soul, and it was time to water it.”
God I loved this book and the story line. This book is different from any other paranormal story I have read. The powers they all have is like nothing in other books. The characters , the story line and the ending is something that I will not soon forget. I want more from these characters and that for me is a sign about how great this book was.
Oh my yes. Yes yes yes. I’m a goner, totally emotionally obsessed with all things Void. There are so many amazing aspects to this story that I’m having a really difficult time collecting all my scattered thoughts. That’s new for me, they’ve practically left me speechless and I never shut up… ever! This book transcends genres. There is comedy, romance, erotica, paranormal, bullying, drama, mystery, and suspense. There are real eye opening themes that far exceeded any expectations that I had going in.
Let’s start with the steam factor, it’s off the charts. I don’t say this lightly, this book has one of my absolute favorite sex scenes that I have EVER read. This book is so hot and steamy that I often felt suffocated by the tension that danced off the pages. The authors probably should have issued a disclaimer that this story may invoke spontaneous mounting of husbands, boyfriends and partners alike. I know my hubby certainly benefited from the perks of all the epic build-up and execution that these authors wrote. I also anticipate a slew of Void related pregnancies and subsequent babies. You see that, Cora and Raven? Y’all better send me some baby gifts nine months from now! I dubbed this book a one-handed-read, as in there are MULTIPLE scenes that are SO hot that you just can’t keep your hand from wandering. What can I say, it’s just that freaking good.
Now, let me be serious for a second. This story tackles some things that readers won’t take lightly. Devicka isn’t just bullied, she’s tormented most of her life. She’s made to feel unwanted and worthless. Reading about her strife was just harrowing. I felt every insult, I broke with every new heartbreaking development. This is a girl who deserves to be worshipped, that was clear from the very beginning. She’s depressed, she’s desperate for approval and touch and attention. I absolutely adored the way the authors took this broken girl and helped her learn to heal herself. They tore her straight from the ashes of her past and gradually crafted her into this brilliant, strong, evolved woman who was willing to fight and sacrifice for what she loved. The metamorphosis was breathtaking and I haven’t revered a leading lady this much in so so long.
I do want to take a second to say something about the amazing harem of overpowered men that slowly overtake Dev’s life. Each one offers her something unique and different, each one changes a part of Dev and helps her transform over time. As they grow as characters, they heal small pieces of our leading lady until she’s truly this remarkable woman bursting with love, power and real understanding. They truly complete her, they make her both better and whole.
One of the brilliant things about this story that makes it stand out amongst others in the same category is that it’s a stand-alone, that gives readers a slew of things that they crave like faster relationship development and loads more steamy happy time. Don’t get me wrong, I adore series and really my ONLY complaint about this book is that I would have liked to read a solid dozen more arcs about this harem but it’s so refreshing to find a book in this genre with these themes that doesn’t take multiple books to tell. This is, hands down, one of my favorite paranormal books to date. It’s also one of the best bully books I’ve ever picked up. Void crosses genres and mends them together effortlessly, it’s artfully executed to give you only the best elements of all the tropes that you’ve come to love. It’s a blinding, shining, brilliant gem of a story that I’m sure everyone will enjoy. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars, it’s a true must read!
DREAMY’S REVIEW
“I understand that being trapped in something that didn’t feel like yourself.”
Void is my first book by both of these authors and to say that I was blown away would be an understatement! I absolutely loved, adored, and devoured this book! I’m hooked, absolutely hooked! From now on, when I see that this duo has a book coming, I’m automatically getting it! And I’m definitely going to read their backlist because I’m obsessed!
This story right here was HOTHOTHOT with the most intriguing characters, fantastic plot, and amazing world building, with tons of depth and growth! The whole concept of Void was utterly fascinating and tons of new things for me to learn!
Paranormal. Reverse Harem. Bully. Romance. Unique storyline.
“I was a Void.”
Devicka Cainson had a spine right from the start! She was shunned, bullied, and basically misunderstood. And yet, she didn’t let any of that stop her from being her. She clapped back when it was necessary and she was a ‘take shit from no one’ type of girl, MY type of girl! I love heroines who have a spine, some sassy with a fiery attitude and a mouth piece to match it! I loved her vulnerability because it showed her true strength. I loved how she was accepting of who she was, even in the darkest moments where she felt like she didn’t fit in.
“As much as it terrified me, I refused to look weak. If he thought threatening me with a death sentence could stop the Void, he was dead wrong. I couldn’t stop it. The Void was uncontrollable. It was violate and deadly. It was part of me but separate at the same time.”
The minute we learned more about Devicka and her powers, the more sucked in I got so deeply into this unique and intriguing storyline! Her powers, the way she weaves them was unlike anything I’ve ever read! Although her powers have been misunderstood, even by Devicka herself.
“Why was I always the villain, when all I ever tried to be was the hero?”
Then comes the boys, the paragons, Devicka’s boys. Render, Hyde, Grit, and Quade. She’s a lucky ass because my goodness… THEY GOT ME HOT AND BOTHERED. Each of them, in their own way. Yes, they were mean af at first, but the minute they all began to click and connect, I WAS SWOONING. Literally fanning myself from all the moments she shared with each of them! There was more than erotic things that happened between the guys and Dev, there was depth and emotion. Something that I didn’t expect and something that I absolutely loved!
“But for once, right now, I didn’t feel like I was erasing anything. I didn’t feel like a Void—a word that was usually spat out like a curse.”
Dev’s powers were what I loved the most about this book! Not only did it carry the whole storyline with the ever growing depth and layers to what we experience and learn, but it made all of the sex scenes HOT. Her powers were out of this world unique and cool and just outstanding! It makes me wish that this book was more than just a standalone, but a trilogy!! I would love to re-visit Dev and her boys’ because that’s how invested I was into this storyline and these characters! I fell in love with them!
“They all did something to me inside, and I needed to learn to shut it off. Those paragons were dangerous for me.”
Nonetheless, Void was a fantastic, all-consuming read! I could not put it down from beginning to end! The minute I was sucked in, I WAS DEEPLY LOST. I didn’t want to leave this world or stop reading about these characters! The flow was just right and it had the perfect balance of world building information, character development, steamy, and some side drama! My only thing was Hyde, in which I felt like he was more tossed to the side than the other three boys. I wanted more of him because I did enjoy and like his character very much! Overall though, it didn’t hinder my reading enjoyment or experience!! I loved it and shouted to all my friends to grab this book like RFN!
If you’re a fan or even remotely interested to jump into the world of paranormal reverse harem bully romances… I’d say GO for this book! I know forsure I’ll be devouring their backlist! I’ve already taken some sneak peeks and I’m already IN LOVE!
Bravo, Coralee June and Raven Kennedy!! I cannot wait to see what you ladies have in store for us next!
Four and a half dreamy stars:
Void Kindle Edition
by CoraLee June (Author), Raven Kennedy (Author)
I borrowed this book via Kindle Unlimited and am leaving a voluntary review.
Why was I always the villain, when all I ever tried to be was the hero.
In a world with shifters to vampires and elementals, Devika would give anything to not have magic. She is a Void, someone who can take away magic and even life. She hides from it until she is taken to the Thibault Academy. If should get rid of it, she would happily be a human. But that doesn’t seem to be possible. Render, the Vampire, Gritt the shifter and Quade the Elemental just wish she wasn’t there They certainly wish they weren’t tasked with babysitting her as she tries to get control of her power.
This is one of my first dips into the Bully Romance pool. If they are all like this, I’m an addict. Dev is amazingly strong and resilient. But she also takes on all the issues of the world and her magic. And the three bullies don’t help.
Told in a past-tense first person. Because of that, we can see the pain and the change that happens to Devi. Some of the writing is down right poetic.
The plot is tight and the story moves along quickly. This is a standalone novel, but how I wish it weren’t! I really enjoyed my time in Devika’s world.
Five stars out of five

**** No Spoilers ****
CoraLee and Raven have out done themselves with this book. Absolutely amazing storyline that kept me enthralled while reading. For this to be a bully romance, it has a very unique storyline. There are all kinds of emotions going on with all the characters. I did get emotional and cried close to the end.
•••••• I highly recommend this book! ••••••
~~ I have Kindle Unlimited, and I used that service to read this book. ~~
This grabbed my attention because, while I really enjoy these authors separately and also their co-writes, it was a standalone. I was (book)hanging hard from a series the end of a series that I was really invested in/didn’t want to see end, and I wasn’t ready for another series. I wasn’t in the head space to put myself into a series that I have already started, and I definitely wasn’t in the headspace to start a new one, when I (still) hadn’t said goodbye to the other series yet. I wanted no committed.
Holy. Bejeebus. Talk about hangover cure. Granted, I now have another hangover, but it was so. Fracking. Worth. It. This book is phenomenal. It’s the perfect balance of what each of these authors are known for – gritty and real with fun and quirky, and all over incredible. I read this twice in 3 days. TWICE IN 3 DAYS.
This is a dark, bully, but my personal opinion is that it’s a bit light on the bully. The MC’s aren’t bullies just to be bullies. They have legitimate reasons (in their minds) for why they don’t want anything to do with Devicka. And Devi. I just want to give her a d@mn cuddle, because someone should. She is strong and resilient in the face of a really lonely existence, and she somehow manages to stay true to who she is when it would be so much easier to be the monster everyone thinks she is. She may not be a b@d@$$ in the sense of being a ninja, assassin warrior, but she’s got an inner core of steal that is impressive. And the chemistry that causes with the MC’s is pretty explosive at times.
This book is hot and sexy while hitting you in the feels. I loved it, and I couldn’t put it down.
