North Pole City Tales: Book Three Rein Dear is a prestigious title, accompanied by admiration, devotion, and celebrity status, all of which one saucy Vixen thrives on. Alas, Vixen’s only concerned with having fun, unlike his stuffy and sensible best friend, Rudy Rein Dear, who Vixen has always been jealous of. Aside from being chosen by Mayor Kringle to be captain of the Rein Dear Squadron, … Rein Dear Squadron, Rudy’s managed to snag himself a prince, even if that prince is the dangerous and imposing Jack Frost.
All’s not lost for Vixen though. He discovers Jack’s cousin Vale has a soft spot for him. Vale Frost might not be a dashing prince, but he’s the next best thing: a decorated lieutenant for the Toy Soldier Army, and a member of the Frost monarchy.
Determined to get what Vixen feels he deserves, he sets off on a mission to ensnare the kind-hearted lieutenant. But Vixen’s selfish ways are sure to lead to disaster, and it’ll take more than a little courage to set things right.

Oh, Vixen you can be such a naughty boy.
Vixen is known to be a playboy kind of guy but he thinks he might have found his heart with Lieutenant Vale. When accompanying Vale to a party, Vixen stumbles upon something that no one is supposed to know about and that eventually gets him into trouble with Vale and the Frost family.
This was a really cute story and easy to listen to while I was doing housework. I’m pretty sure this is the first audiobook I’ve listened to narrated by Robert Nieman. I thought he did a pretty good job overall. This audiobook is over 6 years old and some of the obvious breath taking that I heard probably wouldn’t be found in a good audiobook production these days. Still, I very much enjoyed listening to this story.
Vixen’s Valor really is a great holiday themed story and I love the inventive things the author does with all of the traditional (well not so traditional now )North Pole characters.
I enjoyed this story as much as the others! Vixen was more than what he showed on the surface. The small unnoticed things he did for others spoke volumes about him as an elf, and Vale, Jack’s cousin, saw him as no one else. Told from dual POV, this was a story about two men who were overlooked but had more substance and character anyone could have ever guessed. It was a bit angsty, somewhat sweet with a side helping of action and winter romance. Wonderful entertaining read.
More fun times at North Pole City.
Vixen:
I’m going to be honest in the beginning I didn’t like him. Although I felt for him with his childhood I just couldn’t be ok with what he wanted in life. As always with Charlie Cochet never think she can’t make you love a character that you think you will always dislike. In one defining part of the book oh my Vixen let’s you see his true heart!
Vale:
What a sweetheart! I adored Vale from his first appearance. Sometimes they seem to good to be true but not Vale he has such a pure sweet heart. The way he treats Vixen and helps him see the amazing person he truly is proves what a kind person he is and how deeply he is devoted to love.
This somewhat unlikely pair show that on the surface opposites may attract but when you really get to know the person they are you may find you aren’t so opposite after all. You may find what you didn’t even know you were looking for.
Charlie Cochet did it again! This third book in the series is as good as the previous ones, if not better. Now is the love story of Vale and Vixen, and how they got together in spite of betrayal, intrigue and their fiends. The plot has some intense emotional moments that made me cry a lot, but also included so amazing dialogues very meaningful that helped me to understand how good is for Vixen, Vale’s trust and love and how their future and the future of other characters in North Pole city could be if he redeem his ways. Wonderful reading!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
I’m in love with this whole series! Charlie Cochet has beautifully constructed a new take on the North Pole, Santa, and Christmas. Vixen and Vale are perfect for each other, even though they don’t know it yet. I love how the characters from the other books keep appearing too. Highly recommend!
A quick cute novella read, 3rd book in this re released series. Vixen finds his love, his Prince and realises he is stronger than what he think he is and he finds his inner strength to overcome the bad guy!
