Absolutely loved every second of this book series. Ms. Snow really brought all the threads together and gave us a beautiful, beautiful book. 5 stars. Would love to give it 6.
Vivid Avowed (The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy Book 3) Kindle Edition
by Kaydence Snow
I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This finale was the kind of book that makes you glad you started the series. Satisfying and filled with all the feels, I was perfectly pleased with how Ms. Snow gave us moments of passion, protestations of love, and a classic, epic showdown.
Beyond that, the underlying subtext is a reminder of how tensions between a manufactured us and them can get out of control. That prejudice can result in violence and that anger can only be healed by love and understanding.
Evelyn’s story comes to a peak and a close as she must work with her Bond and her friends to stop her father from driving the world to chaos with his plans for Vitals like her. Eve is a special kind of Vital, her abilities to work with the light are the key to her father’s world domination.
There is action and battles. And, of course, there are moments of pure smexiness. Hot, steamy (literally!) smexiness.
Truly a fantastic end to a great series.
I hope we get to return to this world with other Bonds and characters.
5 stars out of 5

The final book in the Evelyn Maynard Trilogy was truly a fitting conclusion for Eve and her guys. The third book really focuses on dealing with the villain and his supporters, culminating in an action-scene battle, while still interspersing romantic scenes that make the heart happy. I generally enjoy first or second books in a series best, as is the case here, because I love the angsty back-and-forth of the relationship building during those stages. There is a small lingering thread to resolve in terms of their romantic relationship(s) in Vivid Avowed, but for the most part their relationships are set, so the book focuses more on resolving external obstacles to their HEA. I really enjoyed the world of the Variants, their different powers and how the main Variant Bond’s powers evolved with the influence of Eve’s Light. I also enjoyed (and was simultaneously infuriated by) the different sociopolitical aspects of the Variant/Human relationships and prejudices. The whole way through the series I was really impressed that these were this author’s first books – I truly can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
Oh, and P.S. We all need a Turkish Hamman (and our very own Alec, Tyler, Josh and Ethan!)
THIS BOOK!!!! It was everything I could have asked for in the third and final book in this trilogy. Evelyn and her Bond are getting stronger, their connection is more powerful than ever. This story was the perfect mix of drama, suspense, action and steaminess (HELLO STEAM ROOM!!!).
I love the connection between Evelyn and each of the guys (Josh, Ethan, Tyler and Alec). Each guy is different, however, they just all work together. They make each other better. And if I could ever have a harem of men these are definitely the ones I would want!
Vivid Avowed picks up right where we left off. You MUST READ the first two books before reading this one. Tensions across the world are at an all time high and Variants/Vitals are in trouble. They aren’t safe anymore. Will there ever be an end to all the fighting and the testing?
The ending of this story was perfect. The epilogue was EVERYTHING!! I am not ready to say goodbye to all these characters and I truly hope that maybe we get some more of them in the future.
Vivid Avowed is the captivating conclusion of the amazing Evelyn Maynard Trilogy, a RH paranormal romance. This Series is original, sexy, and intricate, filled with action, adventure, and secrets. Janine Granda, and Jarred Kjack did a wonderful job with the narration. I love their voices together. I enjoyed it.
3.5 Stars
I enjoyed this a whole lot and I’m so glad I picked this series up. It picks up more or less where Variant Lost leaves off and there’s still a lot of drama surrounding Evelyn and her dad and also her relationship with all the guys in her bond. This is a very decent PNR RH series. Thank you to Wildfire Marketing and the author for the complimentary copy. I volunteered to review this and my review is unbiased and has not been influenced in any way
An explosive end to the Evelyn Maynard Trilogy!
While Eve deals with the fall out of Davis roaming free, she also comes to terms with her feelings over the four men who occupy her heart.
Vivid Avowed is the steamiest book in the trilogy and also full of emotion and intense action.
As the bond grows between Eve and her bondmates, not only does their bond strengthen, but their powers grow. This attribute helps them in so many ways, while keeping their love strong.
I love all the supernatural aspects of this entire trilogy. Each new power that is introduced is utterly fascinating and Kaydence leaves no stone unturned on how it is utilized.
Ethan’s power has always been in creating fire, but as his love and bond grows he finds he can also extinguish fire. The same goes for Josh in his telekinesis. Eve’s love for them has always been the easier between the four and whether it is because of their youth, their easy going nature, or just who they are, it is no wonder she falls for them.
Tyler’s gift may be the most passive, but he has given Eve butterflies since they first day she walked on campus and that feeling has never gone away. She feels that if he’s still giving her butterflies into old age then they are both doing something right.
Alec love has been complicated from the get go. Even though Eve doesn’t remember Alec they have had a special bond since childhood. He was also with her during her darkest days after she lost her mother. Then when she came to school he pushed her away even when he also cared and watched over her. Alec may present a tough outershell, but he really has a gooey center. Hurt so often by others, his first instinct is to lash out, but Eve sees through his facade. She understands the man underneath the pain and perhaps that is why they connected at such a young age.
As you read this story and travel along on their journey you really understand how Eve is tailor made for each of her variants and just how perfect she is for each mate.
I absolutely loved this trilogy and would have loved to stay
Vivid Avowed by Kaydence Snow is book three and the conclusion to the Evelyn Maynard Trilogy.
Eve and her bondmates’ story gets picked up immediatedly after the previous book. The five are closer than ever, but enemies are coming closer and closer and giving them not much choice. They barely escape and are off learning more about Eve’s exquisite abilities. And these are needed, really needed to win against her sd.
Book three is the epic conclusion and the finale of Eve, Ethan, Josh, Tyler and Alec’s stories. I read all three books back to back – finishing the previous one I immediatedly needed, yes needed to get the next book. Keep in mind these are not stand-aälones – tghey#re part of a trilogy. A wonderful read, I literally can’t get enough of the books and I’m hoping for a sequel, I’d love to know what happens in the future. I recommend the book and the trilogy, 5+ stars.
A decent end to the series.
Some spoilers ahead.
The show down at the end felt a little anticlimactic and like there were characters introduced just so you could have deaths. I wish that Davis had gotten a little more comeuppance. I wish that camera Evie had looked into had been fed to the news organizations by Charlie on a live steam and as Davis reeled from Evie making her move he would have been doubly hit seeing the news casters immediately reacting to his betrayal and the real that he was behind all of the testing, death, and both groups. It also would have added a lot of credibility to the lighthunters being able to bring about peace and start rebuilding trust so quickly.
Victor is just sort of left as a hanging story line. There is really an element of evil on him with his recruitment methods and his use of torture. I wish we had some resolution on that. On how he was taken out of power. On how they didn’t blackmail young kids into joining up anymore. On how torture was no longer one of their things.
It is super odd Evie leaves Alec’s side in the hospital, at all, let alone repeatedly. It just doesn’t fit with her character and feels like it was an opportunity to get a few more sex scenes in and have him constantly out of the picture for a few scenes Snow couldn’t figure out how to fit his expected response into. There is also never any repercussion for leaving him out.
And while we are on it, after the first time Evie is attacked in this book it doesn’t make any sense that they just continue to go to the school, or walk to the diner when walking to school is unsafe, or have a rotating appearance of random guards for her even after they have figured out they have a mole in the organization.
Also, signing the contract right away in the meeting was a horrible idea. I would have put that meeting before the secret meeting. Have her say she would consider his offer with no real intention of doing so. Have the guys all discuss it with her and say no. Have the stuff go down at the meeting. Have Victor make the offer again in the hospital where Evie is standing vigil. Have Evie feel like she has to make the agreement because she could have protected Alec. Then have all of that play out. Oh but her deal should have been MUCH better. Those were HORRIBLE terms. Even her starting terms were horrible. Snow, if that reflects some sort of deal you have with someone, rework your deal, you are getting screwed.
Also, New York is not that chilly in the summer. Why was she always pulling on a cardigan? She should have been sweltering from the humidity and the guys should have revealed they had a house in the Hamptons the could run off to once things settle down so that can escape the heat, you know, the way rich New Yorkers do.
Also, they have a lot of well written sex scenes, but a number of them felt out of place and thrown in a manner that three the story off. Some times they made sense, like it made sense she would want to connect after Alec, but other times it’s was like ummm, seriously? Right now? In the middle of a super secret spy party? Really? R.E.A.L.L.Y?!? Don’t force the scenes. And just because there are a lot of them doesn’t mean they have to go back door. It felt like Snow was throwing that and reference to or the possible mm in because other books have started to include it, but it didn’t really fit with the characters she had built here. It is ok to leave things out if it doesn’t fit with those characters even if it is popular elsewhere.
Evelyn and her guys are still trying to figure out how to deal with her father, and things are going to get worse before they get better. This is the final book in Evelyn’s story and while I am sad to see the series end, I loved how the story wrapped up for Evelyn, her guys, and their friends.
Sad to see the ending of such a wonderful series but this was an absolutely fantastic conclusion. The characters and relationships are well developed inside of a complex world. Eve and her bonds go through so much but things have a way of working out in the end.
Yeah definitely enjoyed this last and final book in this series. Bonds are being formed truth reveals. Great RH Romance. I voluntarily review this book for my honest opinion.
Ohhhhh what an ending to the trilogy! I loved it! Admittedly it did take me a while to settle into the book, I kept putting it down and picking it back up again until suddenly I got sucked into what was happening . Watching Eve and her bond grow stronger as everything happens around them was great. Yes the emphasis does seem to be on Alec in this book, but I like his character so that didn’t bother me. And where they end up, just wow. It took my breath away. Such a rollercoaster of emotions. I’m not happy to leave this world as I enjoyed it so much, but I’m happy where it is left.
Okay. Let’s take a second and be totally candid here, I’m not sure that I was emotionally ready to say goodbye to these characters. There, I said it. I didn’t just adore this series, these characters worked their way into my cold blackened heart and lit me up from the inside. It is honestly just mind blowing that this was the authors first series. Anyway, I’m here to specifically discuss Vivid Avowed so that’s what I’m going to do. It’s perfection. Brilliance. A truly wonderful conclusion to the series.
Without diving into too much detail and giving away major spoilers, I could not have been more happy with the way things ended. Every single loose end was tied up. We weren’t left with any lingering questions, except maybe if Dot will get her own epic series, and the book flowed wonderfully. Here’s my favorite part, the author didn’t coast the characters through the final book. I really appreciated that, sometimes when wrapping up a series there’s a lot of filler just fore word-count sake and that was NOT the case here. Every single chapter and word had meaning, the characters still had a lot of obstacles to overcome and work through.
So even though I’m so depressed that this series has ended, and trust me… I’m nothing short of bereft… I can’t help but throw a little worship Kaydence’s way for her utter brilliance. Everything falls into place in book three, and I got all the Alec goodness that I could have ever wanted. The series was inspired, original and exceptionally written and the finale was no exception. If you are looking to have your life rocked and your heart filled, look no further.
Kaydence Snow burst into the RH scene last year with Variant Lost. I said then that I could see this being one of those RH that people just rave about. I still stand by that. The second book delivered just as much action and suspense and the first book. The third book, holy freaking hell. Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat. There is so much going on in this book. Davis wants Eve and he is pulling no punches to get what he wants. This causes a ton of drama. A ton of action scenes and a battle of epic proportions. I will say, we lose some people in this book. My heart hurt so much. A definite emotional roller coaster.
We also work on strengthening and understanding their bond more. And talk about the heat! We get some seriously hot stuff going on in this book. Don’t try to read this on your break at work or you might find yourself in a jam.
Honestly, this book, this series, has given us everything we could possibly want. This book answered questions, gave us more history, settled some unrest. It was just the perfect ending to this amazing trilogy. I’m sad to see the characters go but that epilogue. Man, that was just great.
I loved everything about this whole series. Definitely going down in the books as one of my favorites.
The books in this series just keep getting better! Usually by the 3rd book, the storyline is getting old. Not in this series! I could not put this down!
The storyline continues throughout the books and is as exciting as ever! This book takes the relationships with Eve and her variants to the next level. It’s been awesome to watch these relationships grow with each book. As well as see each of the characters mature and find themselves.
This is such an amazing series that keeps the excitement, angst, worry, and mystery right to the end.
