I wish I could give this book or series a million instead of just 5!
This book captured me and didn’t let me breath or live or eat or even sleep or dream! I was so addicted to this book that at 80% I needed to take a pause and get my ass into the real world and out of this amazing written one.
You know that feeling when you get sucked into a book so deep you forget about everything else and you feel like you are the main character, but even that is not enough? That was my case!
I basically devoured the first two books in this series in 4 days. I loved it but it terrified me the same way. I didn’t want the book to end but I also wanted to know what will happen next and live it. It’s frustrating, ugh!
My favorite one is Alec without a doubt! If I could have a guy like him I think I’d die happily. Like I’d do anything to have a guy like him. I love him! He’s mine from now on, okay? Okay!
Haha, but for real now. This second book was a roller coaster and I loved every second of it! The tension, the love, the hate, the manipulations, the help…all of it!
Be ready, because Kaydence didn’t come to play. She came to slay!
This is the second book in The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy, an amazing paranormal romance. This installment complex and captivating. The relationship between Evie and her Variant, Ethan, Josh, Tyler, and Alec, is intense and beautiful. We learn more about each of them. The story has it all! Action, suspense, and romance. Janine Granda, and Jarred Kjack did an outstanding great job with the narration. I love their voices together. Looking forward to listen to the next and last book in this fantastic trilogy, Vivid Avowed.
3.25 Stars
The second in this trilogy picks up pretty much where the first left off. For as many answers as we get in book 1, there’s still a lot of questions that need answered and I hope I get those in book 3. The writing in this is still as crisp as I’ve now come to expect from this author and I’m really excited to see where book 3 goes. Thanks to Wildfire Marketing for the complimentary copy. I volunteered to leave an unbiased review.
Vital Found is the second book in a trilogy as this is not a standalone. The storyline continues to build and I love where Kaydence took us on this second installment of the Evelyn Maynard journey.
We left Eve, her friends, and her bonded Variants after they’d just fought a battle and one of her close friends not only died, but another was taken during it. So much has changed at Bradford Hills since that day, but so much has also stayed the same.
We join Eve and everyone else on an epic journey where she not only grows in her powers, but she also grows emotionally with each of her bonded Variants. Each one; Ethan, Josh, Tyler and Alec affect her differently which mean her interactions, her time spent with them, and her passion for each one are just a bit different.
When she initially met Tyler as a staff member, they both tried to keep their growing relationship within the confines of that tiny box. So now, unwrapping that relationship is like unwrapping a gorgeously decorated package that takes just time and appreciation before finally getting to the good stuff inside.
Ethan is your combustible, goofy jock and he’s a giant teddy bear stuffed with gooey emotions. He’s not intrinsically hard to figure out, but he’s dangerous to touch too much so Eve has to take her time with him which is equally frustrating. The same goes for Josh, although he’s quiet and contemplative. The opposite to his best friend Ethan, but just as dangerous.
Then we have Alec. He’s a whirlwind of emotions, but so few see them or really know him. Known as the “Master of Pain” most people give him a wide berth, but Eve has never had trouble touching him or giving him a piece of her mind. Alec is also what I’d refer to as a steakhouse menu – he is delicious no matter what piece of meat you decide on, but he will most likely kill you when you devour him.
Vital Found is full of answers from questions that arose from book#1, but we also get more questions which will make book #3 exciting. There was more suspense, both new and old characters popped up, lots of steamy love scenes and tense emotions that kept me turning pages from cover to cover.
If you love supernatural, reverse harem, new adult, with suspenseful theme books then you’ll love this trilogy.
What an amazing follow up to book 1! Book 1 set up the story, introduced the characters and built a world for these characters like none I have ever read. Vital Found, plunged the readers into this world and kept the mystery, action, suspense and romance going. There are many characters in the book but the author did such a wonderful job with their personalities that it is easy to keep everyone straight!
This is a unique storyline that is very well written and keeps the reader guessing. The characters came to life even more in this story and pulled the reader into their world.
This is definitely a ‘don’t miss’ series and I am very excited for the next book!
Book 2 is amazing I really like how the story is developed. I love the connection between the main characters. Mystery trying to get revealed going on this journey has been a treat. No spoilers here I voluntarily review this book for my honest opinion.
The story picks up right where book 1 ended. The complexity of the storyline and characters is stellar. There is action galore and plenty of steam.
Vital Found (The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy Book 2) Kindle Edition
by Kaydence Snow
Ms Snow shows us again what an amazing new talent she is in this second book in her Evelyn Maynard Trilogy.
We pick up shortly after the climax of book one, Variant Lost, just before school begins at Bradford Hills. Things are tense, nothing feels safe and so many Vitals are missing. Beyond all of that, Evie is trying desparately to work in her quint. Tyler seems set on being a platonic teacher. Ethan and Josh are happy sharing her and keeping her on edge. And Alec … Alec has her tied up in mental and emotional knots.
Ms. Snow gives us very real characters who behave like their age group. That might sound like a silly thing to point out, but I have noticed that a lot of academy/college situated stories often have characters who either act far too young (like a twenty three year old who behaves like a sixteen year old) or far too old.
Her writing is sublime. When necessary, you can feel the tension, or you can feel the sexual attraction.
A perfect book that I will be re-reading soon.
I can’t help but recommend it. I would give more of a review but I’m afraid I will lay out spoilers because I love it just that much!

Evie and her guys are still re-grouping from the attack at the end of book 1. Evie and her guys are still trying to figure out their relationships and their Bond. They are still learning each other’s strengths and vulnerabilities. I got to say I loved what happens with Alec at the end — Snow managed to get me to like him again 🙂 This series has twists and turns and I love the ride it takes me on 🙂
Oh I loved this book, in fact I couldn’t put it down. Picking right up where the first one left off, thrown straight back in the middle of their lives and what is going on. I loved how the characters are growing as are their relationships. Nothing comes easy to them, yet they are finding a way through. I really enjoyed all the twists. So many questions answered and so many more left in their place. Can’t wait for the next book.
I knew it! I knew it!! This was a great second book to this trilogy. I’m very happy about how this book played out. I want answers and I can’t wait until Eve and her men find their rhythm because once that happens, oh boy, look out world!
I highly recommend this RH series!
Overall: 5/5
The first book in this trilogy, Variant Lost, was my favorite reverse harem (RH) book from 2018, and though it is only March, I suspect Vital Found may end up being my favorite of 2019. This series and its characters resonate with me in so many ways and though I often make a big deal out of Alec, the series’ alphahole, being my favorite, the truth is I love all of the heroes, and the heroine, Evelyn. In this second book, Alec and Evie continue to be at odds, but we all know he loves her so much, and I love that dynamic more than I can say. Her relationships with her other Variants continues to evolve, all while they navigate learning to use and control their powers in relation to Evie’s Light. Something I love about this series is that the things that are predictable are the things I most want to happen so I am pleased by them, and conversely the things I THINK are going to happen that I might not like, end up not happening at all, as the author takes the story in a direction I didn’t see coming. This book is even longer than the first one and I applaud that as I have found too many RH books are too short for adequate development. I don’t think it is a coincidence that this series of longer books is earning the rare full 5 star from me. As I read, I couldn’t wait for certain things to happen, and at the same time didn’t want it to end. By the same token, I can’t wait for the last book, but I will be infinitely sorry to say goodbye to these characters.
