A refreshing, lovely read! I enjoyed it from page one. The book grabbed my attention, and it did not let go.
Blake and Ada were both strong characters. I loved Ada’s shyness and clumsiness. She was endearing and lovable. She was so unsure of herself yet intense of nature at the same time. My first impression of Blake was that he had no respect for women. However, that opinion changed. He has a deep-seated sadness that encouraged his roguish ways. He had a vulnerability that I liked. Together they shared great passion. They awakened that passion within each other. They were so good together. They were complimenting each other perfectly.
The plot was intriguing and entertaining. I was hooked on page one. It moved at a perfect pace. The story intertwined characters from other books, which gave it an exquisite feel. It was a unique take on the wallflower and rake storyline. The rake had a conscious and a reason to be how he was. The wallflower had hidden beauty and strength. A lot was going on in this story, but it was well thought out and seamlessly done.
I enjoyed this book immensely. I loved the romantic storyline and charismatic characters. It left me smiling with a happy feeling that everything worked out splendidly. It was a heartfelt, romantic read—a great love story. I will read this whole series!
I received a gifted copy of this book from the author. This is my honest, voluntary opinion.
This series started off pretty good, but I feel like it would have been better as a shorter series – a trilogy, perhaps. This storyline with this many couples, all coincidentally falling in love and marrying quickly in the span of a few weeks, doesn’t really work in my opinion. Keeping up with who is with who, and which girls are sisters and which are cousins, keeps getting more confusing.
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
How the mighty will fall.. and then there were two. Vice and Bad are the only two left from the original bargain. As Vice and Bad settle in to protect Ada and Grace love blossoms again. Vice is all about perfection in his women, which Ada is not..or is she!! Ada is such a so much more than Vice has ever known and can’t help but to love her. A very well written exciting and yet again, dangerous adventure.
A challenge. That is what Ada was to Viceroy. No make that Vice, seducer of women, oh not just any women.. “the most beautiful, talented, gifted or accomplished women in England and wider Europe for that matter. He’d carried on with a Russian princess who was rich beyond imagination and one of the most famous actresses in London. All in all, his list of women he’d shared a bed with was an accomplishment in and of itself. One he was proud of.” Wowza, Vice sure thought a lot of himself!
He was responsible for keeping close to Ada, one of the Chase women who had invaded he and his friends gambling hell and now they were in danger from a crazed ex of one of the Lords.
Oh I loved Vice because I could not wait to see him taken down a peg or two when he began to fall in love with Ada, and I just knew he would But he also has had a deep hurt that makes him the way he is…
Ada does not have a lot of confidence. She feels clumsy and not at all beautiful like her sisters and cousins. But Vice thinks she looks almost angelic and the more time they spend together, she has a positive effect on him. Can these two actually begin to fall in love?
Nothing better than a rake and the woman who tames him!! Love it. Now on the Badernass, and oh, how Bad can he be??
After being turned down by a woman who said he wouldn’t be a good enough husband, Blake Everbee, Viscount of Viceroy (aka Vice), only spends time with beautiful women who only want to have a good time and not have a serious relationship. Vice has been charged with keeping Ada safe until Lady Abernath is captured. He likes Ada. She brings out all his good qualities but he doesn’t think she’d want him because of his past.
Ada Chase is a sweet, loveable woman with a quiet strength. She’s always been awkward around men but seems to be able to talk to Vice. She’s a very different person around him. She even teased him that she was a ruiner of rakes. She slowly wins him over with her kindness.
Can they overcome their pasts to have a future together?
This is book 4 in Tammy Andresen’s series Lords of Scandal. It is a stand alone story but you’ll definitely want to read this whole series. This has been an awesome series that I’ve very much enjoyed. I hate to see it end with her next book.
I was granted an advanced reader copy by the author. This is my honest review.d
Miss Ada Chase was nothing like the women the Viscount of Viceroy gravitated to. She was intelligent but a little shy and sometimes less than graceful. She was also, an innocent who didn’t realize her ability to bring a man to his knees. His job is to protect her after that little incident in his gaming hell, but he is finding she has made him want something more in life, something he has avoided at every turn, one special woman.
Tammy Andresen’s VISCOUNT OF VICE is one more quick, but entertaining escape into the past that has a guaranteed happy ending after a delightfully merry chase that has both “sweet” and “heat.”
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tammy Andresen! This is my honest and voluntary review.
WOW! This has been such an amazing series! Just when I think it can’t get better, the next book comes out and the author amazes me again! I have fallen in love with all the characters and I don’t think I could pick a favorite. This is the fourth book in the series and the Chase females are still causing chaos and taming rogues! Ada Chase was supposed to be the quiet and shy Chase, but she certainly finds her spunk with Viscount of Viceroy “Vice” by her side. I loved the advice Ada’s mom gave her when Ada compared herself to her sisters and cousins, “They might take a man and shake some sense into him, but you will slowly lead him down the correct path. He won’t even realize it’s happening until it’s too late.” This sentiment was true for Ada, she caught Vice’s attention and won him over slowly with her kindness, quiet strength, and love for her family. Vice thought he had too much of a past to ever have a woman like Ada want to marry him. He had been burned years before when the woman he proposed to told him he wouldn’t make a good husband. But his protectiveness and feelings for Ada bring out his best and the more time they spend together, the more he starts to believe in himself. I’m going to be sad when the next book comes out because it will mean an end to this wonderful series, but I can’t wait for it either!
Viscount of Vice – Tammy Andresen
Tammy Andresen has gathered the most wonderful group of characters in this series. We have our Scandalous Lords and our strong willed ladies who continue to thwart the unhinged plans of their now common enemy.
Lord Blakely Everbee, Viscount of Viceroy has been charged by the Duke of Darlington to make sure no harm comes to Miss Ada Chase. Ada on the outside looks like a shy young lady, unsure of herself, where as Vice’s persona is that of a rake a man who is sure of himself.
Often though, what you see is not what you get! In the Viscount of Vice, Andresen gives the reader a closer look at who these two people are and why they have become the people they are now. This cute couple and in my mind they are quite cute have from the beginning and almost “secret” language via coy looks, smiles, winks and accidents what could become strong feelings on the part of both characters.
This book is witty, saucy, tender, flirty, and caring. All the while evil still lurks, we know not where as Ada and Grace are still in danger. On top of that the sudden appearance of another man throws Ada into a panic.
This story may contain humor, self doubt, a fight, a carriage chase and love.
You as the reader will find yourself rooting for Ada and Vice to make the right decision. It is always a pleasure to read a Tammy Andresen book.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My review :
Funny how I thought Vice would be the worst of them all, because of his appearance close to a fallen angel, he is labeled a rake, and he is one. But it is only to put balm on his wounds. Reject by a woman, he drowned his pain in meaningless flings, avoiding at all cost any entanglement.
Why he first dismissed Ada, not enough beautiful, too reserved and dull.
But quickly she catches his attention, she does not play coy games with him, she is true to herself.
Ada is the overlooked girl, with no petulant energy, she is just the one everyone can rely on if in need of support or just love.
But by believing she is unattractive, she renders this image, blending with her environment, eluding other’s gaze. Her awkwardness makes her clumsy. Until Blake known as Vice with his angelic face, she is so sure he will bypass her, she can be herself in his presence, having no expectation, she shows her true colors, the loving and kind woman she is.
A lovely addition to this fun series. It ends with a bit of a cliffhanger as we are left wondering about the last Miss Chase, Grace.
4.5 stars.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, and preordered my own. Here is my true and unbiased opinion.

Blake Everbee, The Viscount of Viceroy or Vice to his friends has been charged with looking after Miss Ada Chase whilst he & his friends hunt down a countess intent of ruining them.
This is the fourth book in the series & it could be read on its own but I’d recommend reading the series in order to fully appreciate it. I absolutely loved the opening pages, which were hilarious & almost had me rolling on the floor laughing – just what’s needed at the moment. Once again strong characters & a well written story had me engrossed for an afternoon. The story flowed really well & I was drawn in from cover to cover, I loved it.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Viscount Of Vice is another fantastic historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has once again provided readers with a well-written book. I think this might be my favorite of this series so far. The characters are awesome. Blake, called the Viscount of Vice, is tasked with protecting Ada. She doesn’t make it easy. Blake and Ada’s story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Viscount of Vice and look forward to reading more from Tammy Andresen soon. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Viscount Of Vice is book 4 of the Lords of Scandal Series and can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Anyone who reads the first few pages of this and does not find it absolutely hilarious, needs to find some joy in life. I loved it and coming at this time with all the negativity going on around us, it was a breath of fresh air – thank you Tammy Andresen!
Lord Blakely Everbee, The Viscount of Viceroy or Lord Vice, as he is known to his friends, is a well known rakes who chooses the most beautiful woman, beds them and moves on. He is as handsome as an angel with money and attitude but on the inside he is lonely and wants more from life.
Miss Ada Chase is a lovely lady who is shy and becomes clumsy & tongue tied when any man shows interest in her. Vice has picked Ada as the Chase he will guard to keep her safe from the threats to the Chase sisters & cousins from an evil woman exacting revenge. Ada is still very nervous around Vice & his suggestive teasing but she knows he has no interest in marriage or her. He; however, finds this shy wallflower to be very interesting, intriguing & the more he is around her, the more beautiful she becomes.
The interaction between Vice & Ada really is fun – she is so innocent & naive & he is such a tease & rake but she really puts him in his place and he finds himself acting like a young, shy lad. He finds she is stronger, kinder and so much more than he had ever given her credit. They are a wonderful couple & the secondary characters from previous books only add delight and entertainment to a lovely story.
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
From the opening chapter of this novel, which had me in stitches, I found myself enchanted by the main characters. Vice is his name and vice is his calling, but underneath it all is a man with pain and unresolved conflict. With Lady Abernath still on the loose, Miss Ada Chase is the most vulnerable of the Chase women and Vice takes his responsibility to keep her safe seriously. Ada’s timidity keeps tripping her up and to make matters worse, others seem to trip up around her too and Vice is no exception. Knowing that Vice has no interest in marriage and that he has even less interest in her, frees Ada up from her usual nervous response towards men, leaving him intrigued and surprised at his growing attraction to the wallflower of the group. The story is well written, sweet and romantic with hilarious interludes. Characters and references to previous episodes in the series appear in this one too, however, the story is a standalone and does come to a happy close even though the Chase ladies are still left with unanswered questions. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
