Ugh! I don’t know what is wrong with me! The last few JG books in her reading order have been hitting the tear ducts hard! I loved this book and I know I say this about every freaking last one of her books but I can’t help it!!! They’re so damn good! Virgin has been a mystery for so long!!! And his life before the club and even during the club made me want to straight up cry! Maybe it’s the Mom in me or the women in me or even just the damn human being in me but I wanted to wreck some shit! I was very stabby when he told his story to the amazing Freddie. The beautiful amazing girl who’s suffered a life she was framed for! Like Tanner got what he deserved but he could’ve gotten his ass whooped on a little (or a lot) in my opinion! Going in this journey through JG’s reading order has been a trip. I’ve been through so many amazing books it’s unreal. Please PLEASE! If you read this! Take the time to go to her website JessicaGadziala.com and look under books and then click on the reading order. It’s long yes and maybe a little intimidating but you will not regret it! They’re not that long of books but they each pack a punch! Highly recommend every one of her books!!
5 Ain’t no Virgin Stars
Virgin is the 16th book in the Henchmen series and it tells Virgin and Freddie’s story. Freddie is someone I loved from the get go, I felt her pain and because they have such similar backgrounds I think it bonded them together quickly. The one thing I will say is I felt Virgins back story was rushed and put together in one very small chapter. But other than that I loved their story and of course as always with Jess’ books I loved that we got all her fantastic secondary characters within.
What made this books extra great was Thad, He was just a blast and couldn’t get enough of him and loved that we got his ending as well.
Another fantastic read from one of my favourite authors
Wow what a horrible set of circumstances for Freddie! My heart just broke for her, but she had this inner strength that was so awe-inspiring. Initially her only thoughts were for revenge, but as the days go by she realizes all that she would miss out on. And Virgin, another Henchman we’ve all been wondering about, what a horrible childhood he had! For these two people to find each other was just awesome!
From the first moment that Virgin lays eyes on Freddie, he was fascinated with her, saw her as the perfect woman for him. I actually loved that it was Cam who noticed her and knew she was perfect for Virgin (I can not wait for Cam’s story!!!). Unfortunately for Freddie, she really had no idea how to react to normal flirting anymore and just fled.
But as fate would have it, he is there just when she needs him and she decides to give themselves a chance at happiness. I just loved their relationship so much. Virgin was so sweet and so patient with her. Don’t get me wrong those sexy times were steaming, but a great love story too. There wasn’t a lot of biker action going on in this book, but we do get to see some revenge action going on.
All in all a wonderful story. Loved catching up with the previous characters, loved meeting Freddie’s brothers, Thad (freaking hilarious!) and Colson. Girl’s Club 2.0, especially Peyton was a hoot! And of course Jessica Gadziala’s always amazing epilogue, all of hers are definitely one of the best I’ve read!
All things you love about a Henchman story. Great romance, humor, exceptional new secondary characters, little nuggets of information about future books (I thought Shooter broke the mold on most outlandish character but West is running a close race) and as always an epic epilogue.
Freddie has lost 10 years of her life; stuck paying for sins that weren’t even her own. When she returns home and reconnects with her family the last thing on her mind is a relationship; revenge maybe… a relationship not so much. But when Freddie finally starts actually living her life & she meets Virgin can she follow through with her original plans? Virgin was born and raised in the MC lifestyle…he was used to the brotherhood, the adrenaline & chaos. A relationship was never really on his radar until he meets Freddie. Honestly, there was something so refreshing about F & V’s story in the way that there wasn’t any big drama or big bad just two people falling for one another seamlessly.
Seriously, this book universe; Navesink Bank is one of my favorite places to visit. And there are so many things to love about this series and this book specifically…all the interaction/catch up time between all the men, some new intriguing characters, hilarious one liners & all things girls club. If you love The Henchmen as much as I do you don’t wanna wait on this book. It’s so so worth it & I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
