Read this book and then bought the whole series, and proceed to read them in less than ,3 days. Was sad that the series ended.
I first learned about this book through Netflix’s series based on Robyn Carr’s novel. I was not disappointed to read VIRGIN RIVER! I loved the characters and descriptions. And I loved getting into Jack’s head — something that can’t be done on TV. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Typical of Robin Carr, the characters and situations are real and interesting.
I absolutely love this series. There are many, many books in it. Also Hulu has a show based on it called Virgin River. I advise you to read the book first.
I fell in love with the Virgin River stories long before Netflix picked up the series. No one creates characters and plot twists better than Robyn Carr.
The best series ever written recommend it to many many people and they loved it as well edit to see it end
Love whole series
This was the first Virgin River book I read and i was hooked! I’ve read all of the series and feel like I could go live there. Great story, great people that seem real.
After binge-watching the Netflix series, I got hooked on the books. A lovely fee-good story to sit back and relax with. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
If the book is as good as the movie it’ll be a great read.
Virgin River is an incredible place filled with wonderful characters. Nothing better than to binge read this series.
I really liked this book. I also watched the Netflix series. I was a little disappointed that they changed the story but I still enjoyed it. I will watch the next season.
Robyn Carr paints an interesting path of grief through a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere, called Virgin River. You find yourself rooting for Mel and falling in love with Jack, Doc, and the small town gossips and neighbors who are in everyone’s business. Strongly recommend that you read before you watch the Netflix series…
Love Robyn Carr.
stumbled onto the Netflix series first. I had never heard of these books before. I love Jack and Mel. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books while waiting for Season 2.
Virgin River is a wonderfull series and this is the book that started it all. You will laugh and cry with Mel. Netflix is doing a good job of telling the storie in film . Robyn Carr is an executive producer.
I love all the Virgin River books. They are romantic and entertaining.
I read this book many moons ago when it first came out and quickly devoured the entire series. It was an amazing read. All of the books in this series were awesome!
Mel is recently widowed, and she travels to Virgin River for a fresh start. She is a midwife and joins with an older doctor to bring update services to the area. She meets Jack, an ex marine running the town restaurant and bar. There’s excitement with the births and the neighborhood pot growers. There is also some romance with Jack, very special man.
I loved the book. Have read it mult times. It very easy to read. Very relatable. Very well rounded characters.
