So far, twenty-three thousand and ninety-six people have seen me online. Su has always been the successful sister. It’s Leah who is wild and often angry. But when they go to Magaluf to celebrate their exam results, Su disappears. Su is on the run, humiliated and afraid. There’s an online video of her performing multiple sex acts in a nightclub. And everyone has seen it. Their mother Ruth, a … it.
Their mother Ruth, a prominent court judge, is furious. Can she bring justice to the men who took advantage of her daughter, and what will it take to bring Su home?

What attracted me to this was the cover and the caption on the cover it gets you thinking almost immediately and it is amazing and very thought provoking because really what would you do? So my first thought when I read the first sentence was this was very blunt the writing and the situation is told in a very blunt way the author does not sugar coat it or anything it is just blunt. I did love that about this book.
What was interesting about this book is the author as well as telling the story of what happened to Su in Magaluf it goes into some background of Su and Leah and it was very interesting getting that information as it helped understand what was happening in the book in the present.
I sometimes struggled to get on with the writing I sometimes couldn’t understand whose point of view it was or whose mind we were in at times I didn’t find it very clear for whose part was whose so it took me like a paragraph to realise I had switched the characters I was with.
Leah is a bully. Leah is Su’s sister and she is honestly the biggest bully in this the shit she does to Su is not only horrible but at times point blank racist. The worse thing is though Su forgives her all the time because she is used to what Leah does and how Leah acts at the end they are all happy with each other even though she does some shitty things. But Leah does begin to redeem herself and she’s half nice.
I thought the ending was very open in the sense we don’t get to know what happens to these characters we just see them deal with what happened and the fact Su now has to deal with a video out there and she has to try and fix what happened to her.
There are a few things I did love about this book and that included the fact that the author herself does know the law and has law experience what she worked perfectly into this book and it was so interesting.
The slut shaming is real! Like oh my god I could go on a full rant on slut shaming because honestly it really pisses me off, but oh my god we see it so bad during this book and it’s just awful, I get in this book Su gives a bunch of bjs which when put on social media you expect slut shaming although this is the attitudes that everyone has it would have been nice to see it tackled a little bit in this book but it wasn’t.
I think this book needs more people reading it just for the pure fact it will bring awareness out there in the world with how present social media is in our world and that your worse mistake can be filmed like this. The book is very thought provoking and it’s something that needs to be spoken about we are so pushed into a world of social media we don’t live outside of it. Once something is on the internet it cannot come off and what happened to Su in Magaluf is a perfect example once it’s on the internet there is no escape from it, something like that would follow you everywhere. People need to think about consequences when doing stuff like this obviously in the story Su doesn’t think about her actions she’s drunk and on drugs but the people around her didn’t help either and that follows her around in this story and she learns the consequences of what happened.
I feel like Helen approached a good topic in this book because it’s not the first time behaviour like what happened in the book has been mentioned for Britain there has been much criticisms about Brits abroad and how they act.So I really like she approached this subject.
