Summary:
Winter Simmons was content with almost all aspects of her life. She loves her job as a high school principal, has good friends and belongs to a great community, but her personal life isn’t exactly what she longs for. The man she’s been dating for the past 2 years, Loker James, is handsome, successful, and a gentleman, but maybe too much of one. The last 2 years hasn’t seen any increase in the intimacy of their relationship. If anything, he avoids anything more than innocent hand-holding and chaste kisses. So imagine Winter’s surprise when she finds that Loker is actually, Viper, president of The Last Rider’s MC, and a man with a bevy of women to see to his every need. Not only does Winter feel betrayed, but she has no intention of ruining her reputation in the community by being with a man she never really knew. Loker was determined to find his brother’s killer, so kept his association with the rough and tumble bikers a secret from Winter. Now that the truth has come out, he’s even more determined to make Winter see the real man behind the facade of expensive business suits and charming smiles. But can Winter understand and come to terms with the wild life an MC brings to the table when her life is about rules? When Winter’s hard-won career and life are endangered, Viper will have to prove she means more to him than a quick affair. Will this hard ex-military biker find what he never knew he needed while providing the safety and support that Winter only just realized she needs just as much as the air she breathes? Only time will tell, and that’s a luxury that is quickly running out as danger stalks closer and closer.
I have really fallen in deep like with The Last Riders MC. Viper and Winter only increased my need to get to know this hodgepodge group of men and women who rely on each other for many of life’s necessities. At first, I was worried Viper would fundamentally change Winter’s behavior and personality by being the man he was, but that wasn’t the case. They both changed, which is a given in any relationship, but it was mutually beneficial, and only inasmuch as how they associated with the people around them. The storyline was great, and I loved reading about a man like Viper, confident in what he wanted and would have, while the woman, Winter was holding back. I loved reading about how he won her and opened her eyes to new experiences. My only issue was the reasoning behind the attack on Winter. It was believable and a surprise when finally revealed, but it didn’t seem strong enough. I guess I maybe wanted a bit more to happen. Maybe another attempted attack or mishaps leading up to the reveal. Otherwise, it was a story that kept my attention, and has me wanting more, especially Evie’s story. Lastly, I don’t know if I’m going to like Diamond. She’s a mystery, but also a bitch. We shall see after I read on… <3
So I went down a huge hole down reading this series and it started with the first book Razer’s Ride and I loved it! So as I said in the first book that I’ve read this twice now because you know I binged read this series. Also this review will contain spoilers for books in the series and probably this book itself.
I loved Winter she was so strong and sassy. I felt so bad for her when she got attacked and she began to worry that she wasn’t attractive anymore and especially to Viper. I just wanted to give her a big hug and squeeze her tight. I loved that as she begin to recover her attitude came back and she began to get her strength back and with that came some of the fight she had. I loved that.
Viper my baby Viper. I love him. I loved him in the first book and this book was no different. My alpha male dickhead president. I love him. I love the fact although Winter didn’t want his help he still gave it with turning the whole downstairs of the clubhouse into a rehabilitation for Winter. I felt bad for him because he felt guilt for some things that were no need for at times. I love how much he cares for the club and getting answers when it comes to Gavin.

Winter is the principal of the school and finds out the man she has been dating , Loker James, is president of Last Riders MC.
When Winter finds out, she turns her back on him.
When Winter is attacked , Viper brings her to the clubhouse, where he can watch over her.
This story is exciting, heartwarming, funny, an all around great read.
Love the series and this one is my second favorite of all.
3.5 stars
Better than the first book!
I almost felt more betrayed by Viper in this book than I did by Razer in the first book. I bounce back and forth on who earned top honors in that department but I felt like Razer was more upfront with Beth (in book one) with what he wanted, how he lives, etc… compared to Viper being “undercover” for the first two years of his so-called relationship with Winter. Regardless of whose betrayal was worse, they were both painful and I really felt bad for Winter in Viper’s Run.
Poor, Winter. It was BAM!, humiliation after BAM!, humiliation after BAM!, humiliation. (Yes, Viper wanted to help her but can he really not see how awkward things were for her?!)
I love Beth’s “gift” of the physical therapist to Winter but abso-hated how Viper set up that huge BAM!, humiliation later on. I know he was trying to discourage other things from happening but geesh…
Bliss and that dang daisy chain… another BAM!, humiliation. Talk about uncomfortable. Having to think about that every time Bliss is hanging out of her top would make me go bonkers. Not to mention it’s the day she was almost beaten to death and it’s branded on another woman.
Or how about the twins begging Viper for a little play time during the party? BAM!, humiliation.
And the questions just keep on coming where the mysterious Pastor Dean is concerned. He is quite the biker-backer-upper! He has to get matched up with someone in the future. Someone in the club, that is…
I also did kind of roll my eyes when Winter had her “I’ve totally misjudged them” moment. Now she says she’s misjudged them from the beginning and she’ll take whatever punishment they decide to give her? Yea, okaaaay. It obviously had to happen if she was going to stick around but it was still kinda funny. Seed inventory and her constantly drawing it- Hee hee.
I was surprised with the bad guy reveal later on in the story. Why I didn’t put two and two together, I don’t know, but I liked how that turned out. Big thanks to Sex Piston and her crew for that beat down! Loved them in that scene.
Even if it did play into the Conner ousting, I loved finding out the truth about who really set out Winter’s first party outfit. That was pretty darn cute.
Very excited to read more about Shade and Lily sometime (hopefully) in the near future. He is definitely a man on mission where she is concerned. On to book three in the series, Knox’s Stand!
this is a great book.
Steaming Hot – Great Read
This series is addictive. Start at the beginning with Razer and you will truly fall in love with this series. Great Read! Steam Hot!
I really enjoyed this book, it contained everything you could hope for in the world of MC, they are quirky in the way that they operate and to say they have loose morals is an understatement. It might not be your cup of tea but keep an open mind. This story was amazing and Viper with all his flaws steps up to the plate and handles his business. He takes care of Winter without taking any crap, well trying not to anyway. Their story was heartbreaking and so trying, how to look past what other’s see? Can you follow your heart knowing your peers will judge you? Happy Reading!
Local Principal Winter Simmons has always had to appear above reproach. So for the past two years she has dated a man she thought was a local businessman, but come to find out he was actually Viper the President of the local MC who was only dating her to get to her cousin. With her reputation taking a hit along with her heart, she walks away from Viper and refuses to talk to him. So when she is brutally attacked and hospitalized Viper knows he must do whatever he can to protect and help her heal. With a body that will not work and a heart that is shredded, Winter is forced to recuperate under Viper’s watchful eyes in his clubhouse. Viper let Winter escape his grasp once but he refuses to let her go again. I loved how vulnerable but strong Winter is. She fights every step and makes winning her back a struggle for Viper. As in the first book the multiple partners aspect of this series isn’t something I like, but I overlooked that and concentrated on Winter and Viper’s story because the story is amazing. I love the characters in this book along with Beth and Razer whom I read about in book one. Definitely a great series to read.
