After reading Halo and having the biggest book hangover, I couldn’t wait for Viper! So as soon as this beauty landed on my kindle I had to dive in. I loved this book so much! Ms.Blaine and Ms.Frank continue to steal my heart! Everything about their writing and this story is oh so addictive!
I fell even harder for Halo and Viper this time around! I feel deeply connected with these two and once again I couldn’t get enough of them!
I’m counting down the days until Angel! I’m so excited for it!
You do not want to miss Halo and Viper’s story! They’ll Rock your book loving hearts!
If I thought I loved Viper and Halo before, I’m completely obsessed now!
There should never be any doubt about Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine’s ability to spin pure magic once anyone reads this series. They effortlessly build on the story and emotional attachment grows more intense. Viper has definitely cemented his status as my absolute favorite character of all the books I’ve read over the last year. Normally when I love where a story is going, I can’t put it down. But this time I actually found myself purposely reading slower just to be closer to these amazing characters just a little longer. Especially since I felt like I was falling in love with them as much as they were with each other. Viper truly takes on the role of dark angel with his damaged heart just as Halo is the perfect good angel with his loving heart and humble nature. The heat between them was the perfect amount of push and pull to having me keep a glass of ice water nearby. This book focused primarily on the main two characters but you were always aware of the rest of the guys in the background. The last few pages of this book were heart pumping utter romance! At times I wanted to slap Viper and hug Halo. They truly are one of my favorite couples to date. I can’t wait for Angel, the final book, to get here. The storyline should be explosive now that they are going on tour. This book was phenomenal! It deserves a whole lot more than five stars. One month can’t come fast enough.
This second installment of the series was smokin’ hot and quite entertaining as the guys in Fallen Angel pend time in a Miami mansion to record their new album with Halo as their frontman. Viper’s initial plan of Halo and himself keeping it solely about the sex clearly isn’t working. Eventually someone’s gonna get hurt when it becomes more.
Looking forward to the next one in the series. Can’t wait for Fallen Angel to hit the road on their first mega-tour as a newly redefined band. Great job by Ella and Brooke!
In true Brooke and Ella style in Viper we got hit with the one two punch and now we’re all sitting here waiting for Angel. I just know that one will be the knockout punch, and I can’t wait.
I totally recommend that you read this series. The love between these two are so evident and the chemistry is off the chain HAWT!!! It is a great fun lighthearted love story between two very different rockers. There are lot of fun filled moments that just make you laugh and not only between these two but also with the rest of the band. Viper lived up to all its expectation and I personally can’t wait for Angel.
If you’re looking for a love story that is not angsty but beautifully written then this is the series for you.
As always Brooke and Ella what an amazing job you guys did with this book. Absolute perfection, from the cover to the back, just perfect.
LISTEN…..
After the end of Halo, I couldn’t wait to see that the next book would bring us! Ella and Brooke did not disappoint with Viper!! Not one bit. I must have reread this book more times than I can count and I will do it again..no shame at all. LOL
Viper picks up where we left off at Halo and these two are hotter than ever. The feelings they are having toward each other are getting deeper and deeper. I am not saying anything to spoil this book except you better damn well read it! All the feels and I swear the last 2 1/2 chapters had me caught up in my feelings. THAT ENDING THOUGH!!!! April 25th can’t get here fast enough <3
I am such a lover of romance and the story of two people falling in love. It makes me remember what it felt like being with someone when it’s new and exciting. It makes me remember what it’s like getting to know someone else’s likes and dislikes. A love story can make us feel so many different emotions, regardless if we have experienced them yet. Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank do that in Viper, pulling you into the story from the moment you start reading.
This book brings the characters into the second stage of their relationship. Halo is charming, sweet and so utterly romantic that you want to wrap him up to keep him for yourself. I loved that though this type of relationship is entirely new for Halo, he’s not scared of being vulnerable and owning who he is. Then there is Viper, dripping his bad boy attitude, all sex and crass. He’s confident when it comes to his life, except for his feelings for Halo. He has almost a shyness about it that’s endearing. The banter between the two men is fun and flirty, and I fell in love with their relationship between those bits of lightness they had together. They are two people so altogether different that they shouldn’t work, but it does. It does in a way that is so right you don’t want the words on the page to end.
One more book to go before Halo and Vipers story concludes, and while that makes me sad, being part of this couple’s journey has been nothing short of breathtaking.
I really enjoyed Halo, Book 1, in this series- but it didn’t have the emotion depth I wanted it to. Viper made up for that in spades! The sex scenes were still hot as hell- but it was the connection that Viper and Halo forged that sealed the deal for me. Cannot wait to read Angel!
Viper is the second book in the Fallen Angel series by the talented and amazing duo, Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank. They are the queens of M/M and when they come together, magic happens! These ladies know how to create sexy, heart stopping characters that you can’t help but to fall in love with and wish that they get their happily ever after and everything they ever dreamed of. There’s definitely something special about Viper and Halo. I loved Halo and I couldn’t put that book down, but Viper is on a whole other level!
Viper starts where Halo left off, so you must have read Halo before starting this one. And what a beginning it was! I loved getting to a see a new side to Viper. We not only get to see more Viper, but we get to see the man underneath, David. The scorching hot chemistry we saw between them in book 1 only intensifies and deepens, but with that came some very shocking emotional revelations that neither guy was ready to admit and face. And sweet, sweet Halo! Halo is a deadly combination of all that is good and bad. His naughty side really comes out in this book and oh what a sight to behold. How could Viper ever resist?! This angel sure knows how to tempt the devil himself and maybe even tame him. He is definitely a fallen angel and he knows what he wants and what he is willing to put up with. I loved getting to know him better and to see him really become a part of the band.
And I can’t leave the rest of the band mates out. I loved Jagger, Killian, & Slade as well and I loved the camaraderie between the whole band. Book 3, Angel, cannot come soon enough! I can’t wait to see what else in the store for these 2 sexy men and their band!!
Love this book and this series. These authors are an automatic purchase for me. They never disappoint either individually or together. XOXO
Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank left readers wanting more at the end of Halo after Viper and Angel finally acted on their mutual attraction, and even though that was one hell of a steamy and sensual encounter, I desperately wanted to get to the morning after in order to see exactly what the fallout, if any, would be and how these two sexy rockers would deal with their newfound relationship, if it even could be called that, amidst the paparazzi who wants a piece of the ‘next best thing’ and their bandmates who have already had to endure one lead singer quitting and their band needing a new name and a new sound in order to rise again.
Halo’s life has completely changed in such a short amount of time, and with those changes, he’s handled everything with such grace and poise, even if he’s spiraling in turmoil on the inside. Add to his new rockstar moniker the fact that what he feels for Viper is unlike anything he’s ever felt before, especially given the fact that he’s never been with a man, and it’s easy to understand why he’s hesitant, but what I loved most about him in book two is that he stood his ground in all facets of his life and didn’t allow others to push him around, even the surly lead guitarist who’s quickly becoming his everything.
Viper is a bit more jaded than most, which absolutely makes sense given his backstory and past experiences, and while readers are privy to both Halo and Viper’s perspective in the second part of their story, it felt like we were given a bit more insight into why Viper’s the way he is and why his feelings for Halo don’t just complicate things for him but mess with him in ways that Viper can’t quite figure out, which leads him to say and do things he regrets, but hopefully he can learn from them as well.
For any new relationship, there are bound to be bumps in the road, but Viper and Halo have to deal with a few more complications due to their on-the-rise celebrity status, Viper’s hesitancies, and the attempts to figure out how to define what Viper and Halo feel for each other while still pretending that what’s between them is only sexual.
While Viper and Halo are front and center in this story, and rightly so since it’s about their relationship, the other band members are just as important and as Blaine and Frank take readers behind-the-scenes and provide the ins and outs of what it takes to make a new name for themselves, each of them brings something all their own to the group and it’s been fun getting to know all of them better and taking this journey with them.

When I finished Halo, I really was quite conflicted, particularly when it came to Viper. I knew there had to be more to him than what I was seeing. I was hoping there was more to him, because honestly, he really made it hard for me to warm up to him. My feelings towards him might have started to change the minute I saw this cover, shallow as that may be. Because ohmyfreakinggod, do you see that cover?!? I mean, look at him!!!
Ok, in all seriousness, Ms. Frank and Ms. Blaine definitely did their best to change my tune when it came to my attitude about the Viper. This book showed there was a lot more to him than just the rock God/sex God we got to know in Halo. We were privy to his more vulnerable side, which made him more real somehow. I almost felt like I was reading about a different person, as he and Halo started spending all their time free time together. But there was still something about him that held me back, like I couldn’t let myself go all-in with him. Until I did. And then I was there for all the scorching hot sexiness, and all the feelings that were beginning to develop, even if a certain someone wasn’t willing to acknowledge them. I still had a little issue with how fast Viper had moved in on Halo, considering they were bandmates and this was Halo’s first shot at the big time. But he really did endear himself to me.
And because things can’t be all rainbow and unicorns, or sex and vodka, there was a little conflict between our lovers, and I have to say I might have stood up and cheered for Halo! I liked how he started really coming into his own, not only with the band, but when it came to his relationship with Viper. He didn’t seem quite like that young, innocent man we met in the first book, even though it had only been a few months.
Overall this was a terrific continuation of Viper and Halo’s sex, I mean love, story. Seriously, these guys, or would that be gals, know how to heat up the Kindle, that’s for damn sure! I don’t know what Ms. Blaine and Ms. Frank have in store for these two, but I’m sure they’ll be out there conquering the world
I had a long drawn out debate with myself as to whether I wanted to read this NOW or wait until “Angel,” book 3 comes out so I could read them both together. Well, you see how that went, as I write this review. Halo, Viper, and the rest of Fallen Angel head to Miami to work on their first album. Sun, sand, and sexy time between the sheets! *fans self* Will Viper give into his fears and let his “Angel” go, as he intended, or will he hold on tight with both hands? This is an ongoing story, as most of you know, that’s how Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank usually roll – thank goodness! Viper and Halo are flipping fantastic together. I devoured this story, not in one setting, unfortunately, like I could have. That pesky thing called work got in the way. I love me a good Rocker romance and man oh man this fits the bill. I will definitely be counting the down the days until “Angel” comes out.
*5 amazing stars*
I just loved every single word of this second book in this series. It still amazes me how much I love Viper and Halo with every beat of my heart. No words left to say how much I’m loving their story! I cannot wait to see how it goes in the next one and I better get a happy ending 🙂
Viper and Halo are having a scorching hot affair that is down on the low key but it gets harder every day to fight their feelings for one another, especially for Viper. After everything he has been through, he just don’t know how to trust someone else with his heart again. But Halo seems to be the one breaking down his walls but will it be enough to get Viper to move toward something more than just one nights together… It’ll take a lot for Halo to get Viper’s barriers down and when it all comes crashing down around him, he’ll have a hard decision to make. To either stay or walk away…
REVIEW: 5 Scorching Stars
“Oh, I plan to kiss you, Angel. I’m gonna kiss every single inch of you.”
I try really hard not to start a review off about how HOT a book was, but when that is a glaring reality behind Viper’s style and demeanor, I don’t think I can honestly help it and not do a disservice to his personality. Holy hell. Wow. This book was most definitely hot. And sexy. And naughty. And delicious. Oh my gosh, just….*shivers*. I know, I sound ridiculous but I can’t help it. I’m shaking my head at myself and laughing, I promise you that much. Crazy, I know. But Ella and Brooke, I’m gonna need you to keep this writing gig up.
This second book in Ella and Brooke’s Fallen Angel Trilogy was nothing short of sexy and fun, but it also allowed a deeper growth that I did not truly anticipate. Detailing a love with so many obstacles and yet, the need outweighed the want in this one. The desire outdid the lust. I am smiling like a love sick fool, and it brought out all the heart eyes from me. I cannot fathom not highly recommending this series to anyone and everyone that is willing to listen to my babbling. It’s books like this that make me giddy to write a review and excited to share a copy with someone. They make me so excited that I can’t calm down enough to get my thoughts out. Definitely favorites list material right here. My little heart is so full.
I can try and pretend to come up with some really cool words to define the love that I have for this story, or these authors, or the characters…but it’ll come off as me trying way too hard. Seriously, way too hard. But consider this review as me trying to type out my smile, even though I’m pretty sure I’m failing. I do know that Ella and Brooke’s writing is brilliant. I am completely smitten with not only them, but their characters. I love love love what this one did to me. The teasing and meaningful writing they infused into this story read effortlessly. As awkward as it may sound, I didn’t know that you could write a well known Rock Star GOD falling in love like this – and make it believable. I loved not only the love story, because that’s first and foremost the reason I am here…but the whole navigating unchartered waters through not only Halo’s eyes, but Viper’s as well. And that is where the story was for me. It was reality crashing with fantasy, and I think they captured that part exceptionally well.
“I didn’t need alcohol, because without him, I didn’t want to feel a fucking thing.”
This story involved a slow, painstakingly guttural ache to see an almost impossible reality shake out. But the pain, the urge, the need to see Viper and Halo figure out this so-called relationship consumed my every waking thoughts immediately upon starting this series, but this book amplified that need. I know I have to make it through another book to get the rest of their story, but I can honestly say VIPER is on my favorites list for 2019 already. So so good. And so hot, in case you missed that.
By the way, the cover on this book cannot be any more perfect. When I envisioned VIPER in HALO, I just knew he was going to be a cocky, confident sonofabitch, but they nailed the broody aspect of him in this picture rather perfectly. It coincided perfectly with the heady, dark and dirty side of him and really accentuated the feel of the book. The naughty side. The dirty side. The hot side. However, after reading this one, though, I think VIPER is synonymous with asshole. Talk about heart palpitations and anxiety pangs. Geez. He made me want to throw things!!! And, of course, watching Ella and Brooke share all their “inspiration” for the other guys in their group just made me itch for more stories out of this band. In all honesty, it’s ridiculous how in love I am with these guys. Absolutely, hands down ridiculous. And now I’m hungover and I don’t know what to do. But I do know I will never stop asking for more….
“‘This is where you belong’, he said in a voice that stroked my cock as effectively as I knew his hand could.”

I deavoured this book as if it was the biggest, most delicous Danish pastry I’ve ever had. It was that good. If it was Viper vs. Chocolate, Viper would win.
The Fallen Angels series is fast becoming a favourite of mine and I have no doubt I’ll be reading this again and again.
Both authors are amazing when writing solo but together… Holy Smokes they’re dynamite.
4,75 / 5 Stars
If you thought book 1 was fire, then this one is lava.
The story continues and we get to see the development of their relationship, which is as strong as it is new. But this doesn’t mean they don’t have issues or that the boys are ready to face that thing creeping in their hearts that starts with “L”. But they are true to themselves, they are not changing overnight and making false promises, they have baggage and that’s enough to make them wary of making the other run away.
Be aware this is a trilogy and as such, it’s not possible to read it as standalones. And they do end in a cliffy way.
Am I the only one hoping for other stories for the secondary characters?
I enjoyed Halo (the first part of this story). But Viper…. I couldn’t get enough of these two. I think it might be because were able to get know them in the first book, but they were smoking hot and vulnerable in this story.
This chemistry between them…. SO.FREAKIN.HOT. It drips off the pages. The banter and sexy talk. My god! I was dying.
And then you have Viper, who doesn’t get emotionally invested in guys…. to see him trying to figure out what is happening, was so endearing.
And listen when I tell you that this is the best, most pleasant cliffhanger than I’ve read in a book. I want more more more of these guys.
HOLY SMOKES THIS BOOK WAS HOT!!! Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine are a dynamic writing duo, and with Viper they took their writing skills to a whole new level. Wow!! Just Wow!! I was not sure that Viper could be any more hotter than Halo or that the story unfolding before my eyes would make me love these two anymore than I already did, but Viper did. This book with its eponymous hero and book title could not have been more perfectly titled or written!! Viper is not only an emotionally moving story, but it is funny, and it truly shows you how much one can protect one’s self after having your heart ripped out and stomped on. And let me just say, that only do I absolutely love Viper and Halo, but I am in love with the rest of these sexy rock stars, esp. Killian, the man who keeps this band together, and knows exactly what it means to be a friend. Viper is an absolutely fabulous read and all I know is that I need Angel RIGHT NOW!! Bravo, Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine, on yet another all consuming, can’t do anything with my life other than read this book read. Seriously, can I have Angel NOW??!!!
4.25 Stars!
Viper is book 2 in the Fallen Angel series and it needs to be read in order. Also, I’ve gotta say I’m so happy we’re getting these books in quick succession since waiting is so not my forte.
Halo and Viper are in Miami with the rest of the band living in a bubble while working on Fallen Angel’s debut album, but what will happen when they are back in RL and they both have to deal with the growing feelings surging between them?
I think Halo was my favorite in this installment. He was more open to what was happening between him and Viper, even when it’s all new to him, whereas Viper is fighting it tooth and nails. It’s not that I don’t get where Viper is coming from, all things considered, it’s understandable, but that didn’t mean I was any less frustrated by his inability to see Halo is not like any other person he’d ever met.
I really liked Imogen, Halo’s sister and Viper’s mom. And of course, I adore Killian, Jagger and Slade, who always makes me laugh.
While I loved book 1 better, that doesn’t mean that Viper wasn’t an enjoyable read. It was hot and entertaining and I loved seeing Viper and Halo falling for each other, even when Viper was oblivious to it (or tried to be), and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the aftermath of that last scene because WHOA!
*** Copy provided to me for my reading pleasure, a review wasn’t a requirement. ***
Is there nothing these two ladies can’t do? This is a great follow up to book one. The action is still going strong, the heat is turned up, and the guys are pulling on our heart-strings. I am anxiously awaiting the last book in this trilogy. Viper and Halo are easily becoming two of my favorite guys from these ladies. If you love their work, sexy rockers, and all around swoon-worthy action. then grab these books!
