The devil has a name, and it’s Cristiano de la Rosa. On my wedding day, he was the last man I expected to see standing at the altar. He wants to make me his queen. His brother wants to rescue his princess.Getting Cristiano to lose control becomes the name of the game, and the stakes are life and death. But as truth and lies blur, loyalty is tested, and our chemistry threatens to reach the melting … the melting point, the prize grows less clear. Either freedom no longer means what I think it does, or Cristiano is as devious as everyone says, and he’s mastered the art of playing my mind.
All I know for certain is that nothing is certain. And all you need to know?
This is a love story.
But even love stories have to end.

After reading Violent Delights I had such a book hangover and I couldn’t wait for Violent Ends! Just like with the first book this one was an unputdownable page turner from beginning to end! I absolutely loved it!
Getting to jump back into Natalia and Cristiano’s world was unforgettable. I couldn’t get enough of how this installment made me feel ALL the feels!
Ms.Hawkins has done it once again! I’ll be counting down the days until Violent Triumphs! If you haven’t picked up both White Monarch books you need to ASAP, my fellow book lovers!
*I volunteered to read and review a Copy of this book from the author*
I always struggle to write reviews for the middle book of a trilogy.
I will say this…. the writing is outstanding. This story continues to be amazing. I was feeling one way going into this part of the story and I found myself changing directions on my thoughts. Natalia’s growth over this story is tremendous and the truth behind Cristiano is revealed. I was just left reeling by the end of it and I am dying for Violent Triumphs. This is shaping up to be one of the best trilogies that I’ve read.
“The devil had a name—Cristiano de la Rosa—but from this day forward, I would call him husband.”
Violent Ends is book 2 in the White Monarch trilogy, a “sexy, smart, and well-written” (Angie’s Dreamy Reads) series from USA Today bestselling author Jessica Hawkins.
Get it today f you love –> page-turner, great world building, steamy, original, haunting, angst, slow-burn, steamy, alpha male
This is why Jessica Hawkins is the queen of angst! She consistently delivers powerhouse novels that captivate her readers. We hang on every word, every scene and every detail. I greatly appreciate Jessica’s willingness to free fall into her writing. She doesn’t hold back or limit the reader on the experience. She is brave and her writing knows no bounds.
I absolutely loved this book. Violent Ends is filled with high stakes and emotions. The character development and plot line is stellar.
I look forward to the final conclusion with Violent Triumphs.
“ , ?”
by Jessica Hawkins is a jaw-droppingly SEXY and PROVOCATIVE romance that will leave you utterly gasping for MORE! Cristiano de la Rosa may be the devil, but he is one of the most intriguing characters Jessica has ever created! Natalia is coming to a crossroads and her emotions are all over the place, but what I love about her is the fact that she continues to stay true to herself even with these struggles. Oh my hell! I can’t get enough and then Jessica has to go ahead and end it like that? Cruel, cruel woman! I can’t wait to experience the emotions Ms. Hawkins will no doubt pull out of me when we get the HIGHLY ANTICIPATED finale of the ℎ ℎ series! BRING. IT. ON.

Left me wanting more.
Amazing series. I can’t wait for the next installment. Christiano is so sexy! Sigh.
Violent Ends by Jessica Hawkins is the second installment of the White Monarch series. A slow-burn, mafia romance filled with drama, twists, suspense, lust, violence, and love. The first book, Violent Delights must be read before this book. It’s a deliciously written book filled with sexy characters and perfectly portrays the drama that comes with finding romance in the mafia world.
We continue on with our characters Natalia Cruz and Cristiano de la Rosa who grew up in the mafia world in Mexico. They share a tortured past and due to the ruthless manipulations of Cristiano, they end up tied together for life. It’s a slippery slope, their relationship. And reading the intense yet unwanted sexual chemistry between them is off the charts hot. It’s definitely a much slower burn than I’m used to when it typically comes to the mafia romances I read, but I think it just contributes to the emotions and atmosphere this book emits.
I was torn while reading this because there was a question of loyalty for Natalia. And because I am completely biased, I was rooting for Cristiano the whole time. And watching Natalia struggle with her emotions and her heart made me want to shake some sense into her. It was unavoidable he’d eat up and crush her in the event that she surrendered to her longing, yet after some time she started to need and need the man she realized she should fear. She was befuddled as she continued revealing more layers to this perplexing man who wore numerous countenances. It’s just a shame that she somewhat comes to her senses when it’s too late.
Violent Ends was such an amazing story! I was completely consumed in Natalie and Cristiano’s world and waiting for the next book is going to be torturous. Hawkins continues to write stories that stand out from every other story in the community because while the trope is typical, the spin she puts to her stories, take it to a whole other level. Hawkins is a beacon in the romance community and her latest work, Violent Ends, is a testament to that. And while I consider myself to be a mafia romance aficionado, this book is probably hands down one of my favourite mafia romances I’ve read in a while. I definitely recommend this book, series and this author for any avid romance fan.
I am going to make a checklist of why you need to read Violent Ends ASAP
An arrogant, asshole, sexy antihero to make your heart go crazy.
A strong, badass heroine who will break, rise and fall.
A mindblowing mindf**k with sensual, forbidden and raw romance.
IT IS A JESSICA HAWKINS BOOK.
I can give you a dozen more reasons but you simply need to read this book.
And Jessica Hawkins needs to stop breaking my heart like this. Well, not really because I love this. I have a life to live but I am not sure how to survive the wait!
The power games and mind plays of the cartel has reached new heights in Violent Ends. Nothing is true and everything is dangerously complicated. Natalia’s life is uncharted territory. She decided to “sacrifice” herself willingly for her father and her love Diego. But Cristiano is full of contradictions and surprises. She is taken to his secret Badlands but it is so far away from what she has been told. She is having conflicting feelings for the man she is supposed to hate. Slowly they start regaining some of the trust they once had. And the sizzling hot chemistry doesn’t hurt. When Natalia finally gives in to her feelings, her world is turned upside down again.
Oh my Cristiano. Seriously he is absolute perfection. He is not a white knight on white horse. But his dark soul is full of compassion and love for people who need help. The man behind the cold face, crude language and attitude problems is gorgeous in and out. His morals are questionable at best. You will have to go through some heinous and revolting things. It won’t be an easy story. The slow sensual and seductive dance of relationship games was brilliantly done. The push and pull was erotic and enticing. I already love and respect Natalia. And I love her even more in this story. I am proud how she uses her judgement and listens to her instincts rather than being swayed by the stubborn and uber protective men in her life. Jessica Hawkins has created a raw yet magical tale of violence, lust and thrilling mysteries.
I will never tired of saying how Jessica Hawkins hypnotized me and left me breathless. The killer storyline messed with my head pretty hard. The storytelling was flawless and mesmerizing. A brutally beautiful story from Jessica Hawkins.
Received ARC for Honest Review
Once again I been thrown into a story of love, betrayal, loss and loyalty. A world so dark and twisted that to survive it almost makes you crazy in every way possible.
Natalia, the princess of a successful, ruthless Mexican cartel is in love with one brother, yet forced to marry the other. She is trapped and hurt, lost in every way. One thing she is struggling most with however is the attraction between her and Cristiano is intense and delicious. They are at a constant dance around each other to get the upper hand and it’s addictive to read about.
A wonderful second book in the series, not as action filled as the first but gives lots of depth to the characters and a build up to the next book. It definitely leaves you on a cliff with an explosion happening. Need book three now!!!!
‘Violent Ends’ is the second book in the White Monarch series by Jessica Hawkins. This series is unique and I have never read anything quite like it, and for that I am completely and utterly obsessed. The story is well-written, and the level of detail catapults you directly into the heart of Mexico and into the depths and darkness of Natalia’s world.
The war of cartels and the De La Rosa brothers continues as they shamelessly attempt to win Natalia’s heart. It is Violent, gritty and the type of book I always feel compelled to read.
Christiano despite being devilishly handsome is controlling and dangerous. After a brutal betrayal by Diego, Natalia is forced into a marriage with him. She feels utterly alone, afraid and often pushes him, wanting to get into his mind, and despite how abhorrent he is to her, she is unable to deny the moments and parts of her when she can’t help but feel something for the man behind the villain. The complexity of their relationship is a one for any slow burning romance lover.
But how will it all end in Violent Triumphs?! I am hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for this book now! I am totally and utterly enthralled and have found this series utterly addictive. I am a huge fan of Jessica Hawkins books and I cannot recommend them enough, they are perfect for all romance lovers or any readers wanting to try something a bit different.
Oh my my my, Jessica weaves a tangled web in this one. What an ending you guys. I’m salivating for Violent triumphs, begging for it. I seriously have no idea what I’m going to do until November.
The angst and heat between Cristiano and Natalia was so damn good. There were a lot of times i wanted to grab ahold of Natalia and giver her s good shake, I still really loved her character though. And my lord, Cristiano… He’s the perfect anti hero. I loved everything about him. The way they danced around each other was maddening and intense.
Hawkins completely knocked my socks off with the continuation of their story. As always the writing is fantastic from her. I have my theories about everything. I’ve got a serious case of the grabby hands for book 3.
Wow! Violent Ends just rocked my world! All the secrets and unspoken truths just about did me in! I am swooning so hard for Cristiano. He is dreamy af! Gah! And don’t even get me started on that ending! I am speechless. It really got me! I will be slowly dying inside until November waiting for Violent Triumphs. If you like dark reads that will keep you guessing, you’ve gotta read this series!
Violent Ends is the second book of the White Monarch series. If you want angst and the slow burn that Jessica Hawkins is known for, this is the book for you. It is filled with passion and danger. You will be riding an emotional rollercoaster, so hold on while reading this book.
I can’t wait till the third book comes out!! Start reading the series today, you won’t regret it.
New release alert… “The devil had a name—Cristiano de la Rosa—but from this day forward, I would call him husband.”
Violent Ends is book 2 in the White Monarch trilogy, a “sexy, smart, and well-written” (Angie’s Dreamy Reads) series from USA Today bestselling author Jessica Hawkins.
3.5 stars…
This picks up where book one ended, giving us Natalia and Cristiano’s POV. I found myself still second guessing what I felt while reading the first book. It shows there are always two sides to every story and things are not always as they seem. I would love to get Diego’s POV during some of what is happening throughout this book. I will say, the ending blew me away and I cannot wait to see how things play out.
Jessica rocks. Although mafia stories are not usually my cup of tea, she pulled me into the story. Cristiano and Natalia have a hold of my heart! This book is one of my favorites ever, no kidding. This is the second book in White Monarch series and cannot be read as a standalone.
This is a story of an arranged marriage. Cristiano is not on Natalia’s list of favorite people. She blames him for certain tragedies in past and made up her mind about the kind of the man he is based on what she heard from other people. What she expect is a violent uncaring brutal man and let’s just say Natalia and the readers are in for a surprise. There’s so much more to Cristiano than meets the eye. I love that he is such a complex character who is not all black and white. Many times in the book I found myself pleasantly surprised.
Together, they are a dynamic couple who despite all the things going on in between them, have a burning chemistry. Seriously. The reader is in for some hooooot moments. They fight, argue, talk and take on new feelings neither of them have ever experienced before. All of this put together means I was constantly glued to the kindle, just swiping the pages and inhaling the words. Truly a wonderful, well written and though-through story that will give the reader the ultimate hangover!
It is really a bit crazy. Every time I think I have a grip on an author’s writing or story-making abilities, the author knocks me back with something out of their normal realm… out of what I expected from them. That is just what happens here with Jessica Hawkins. Violent Ends is crazy different… ok, the White Monarch series is so different. I love it! Miss Hawkins’ writing is dark and sinister but the heat level is through the roof. Natalia and Cristiano seem like they shouldn’t work… but Natalia starts to lean toward him and he, her. Their pull is strong. I loved how strong and vibrant these two felt together in book 2.
Jessica Hawkins writing is purely magic! I’m in love with the way she has developed this mafia romance. It’s everything I could have really wanted… Miss Hawkins gives us so much dark, so much chemistry and this back and forth feel to them. They both fought for control, for the other… for each other. This is one of the wildest rides Jessica Hawkins has ever taken me on before! I’m salivating for the conclusion… for the ending of this dark and devious trilogy!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
OH MY LORDY!! November!? I can’t wait! I need the third book right now!
Natalia is headed to the Badlands as Cristiano’s bride and after all the horror stories she’s heard she envisions a dismal future for herself in Cristiano’s town. Cristiano rather enjoys the “bad” reputation he has about what goes on behind the walls of the Badlands. In spite of that, he would rather Natalia see for herself what the town is about.
We learn more about Cristiano and his business. Natalia discovers that Diego is not the person she thought he was. Many things are revealed and Cristiano’s dangerous game with a rival cartel puts everyone in a precarious situation. My heart is in my throat and I’m hanging by a thread.
It’s not as fast-paced as the first one because we are pretty much watching Natalia and Cristiano’s relationship grow and blossom. But Jessica sure makes up for that with that cliffy! There is a constant back and forth between them, the chemistry is super hot but Natalia doesn’t want to give in to it. She wants to keep thinking the worst so she won’t fall for Cristiano. I am so impressed with Cristiano’s patience. This slow, ever-increasing burn goes on throughout the story and I don’t mind it at all because let’s be honest, Natalia is not instantly going to trust Cristiano. Her body may be attracted to him but her heart doesn’t trust him. So even though it may be slower than the first book, it’s necessary to build up that foundation. I truly enjoy the build-up to what could be an epic love story. Jessica’s characters are phenomenal and the plots are intense and very angsty! I don’t know how I will hold on until November but it will be so worth the wait, I’m sure.
Jessica does it again. Waiting for this book was so hard, but dang worth it. This book was incredible! Jessica’s writing leaves you needing more.
