The devil has a name, and it’s Cristiano de la Rosa. On my wedding day, he was the last man I expected to see standing at the altar. He wants to make me his queen. His brother wants to rescue his princess.Getting Cristiano to lose control becomes the name of the game, and the stakes are life and death. But as truth and lies blur, loyalty is tested, and our chemistry threatens to reach the melting … the melting point, the prize grows less clear. Either freedom no longer means what I think it does, or Cristiano is as devious as everyone says, and he’s mastered the art of playing my mind.
All I know for certain is that nothing is certain. And all you need to know?
This is a love story.
But even love stories have to end.

Book 2 in this awesome trilogy! Steamy page-turner. Love me some Jessica Hawkins angst!
3.5 STARS!
Violent Ends by Jessica Hawkins is the second book in the White Monarch trilogy.
Cristiano De La Rosa is the sexiest anti-hero you’ll ever encounter! Sinful and salacious, oh Lordy does that man pack a mouth on him. He’ll seduce you with his words and make you swoon. He’s depicted as the monster but in reality his heart is pure gold.
Natalia was the main reason I rated this novel low to be frank. There were moments where she was fierce and stood her ground and others where I couldn’t stand her naiveté and to be honest, I just wanted to slap her. She constantly fought against her feelings towards Cristiano, and I understood her anger, but even when the truth was right in front of her face she still questioned it. Overall, the writing was impeccable. The story was intriguing and left me wanting more.
With an undeniable chemistry and hate that slowly begins to bloom into more, you don’t want to miss what happens next!

Hmmm…I am not completely sure how I felt about this book. Overall, I enjoyed it. This author has some fantastic writing skills for sure. I still love Cristiano and he was the best part of this book by far. However, I spent 98% of this book wanting to cunt punch Natalia. Good gravy this chick has to be one of the most annoying heroines I have ever read. I also felt like this book was mostly a filler book. It didn’t feel like much happened other than Cristiano and Natalia dancing around each other. Last, it ends on a crazy cliffhanger. I was engaged enough I will read book three. That said, I am really hoping for a less annoying heroine, more sex, and more action. Fingers crossed…

I am officially one hundred percent invested in this trilogy. It is the definition of what I love to read in a mafia book. It is raw, violent, intense and it is absolutely captivating. Violent Ends is the second book in the White Monarch trilogy by Jessica Hawkins. You do have to read Violent Delights in order to understand this second book, believe me, you’ll want to read it!
In the first book, we were introduced to our heroine Natalia and both the De La Rosa brothers, Diego and Cristiano. We were left trying to figure out who the bad guy was in the story and who Natalia would end up with. J. Hawkins left us with a lot of questions and a lot of anticipation. At the end of Violent Delights, I was at war with myself as to who I wanted to cheer on, now I know. I am rooting for Natalia and Cristiano to have some semblance of a happily ever after. Although in their world that might not be a possibility.
I had an inkling that Cristiano was the good guy in this story despite not being so good. Yes he is the head of his cartel, but his cartel isn’t all that people have accused it of being. Behind closed doors Cristiano is trying to right some wrongs from his past, but more than anything he is trying to do right by those who have been wronged. He is a fierce and loyal leader. He has an army standing behind him that will give their lives for him. The problem is, all he wants is his new wife to trust him, to get to know him, to take a minute to see the real him. That feeling might just be his demise.
Natalia has loved Diego ever since she was a little girl. She has also hated Cristiano for that long. No matter how many times Cristiano proves her wrong, no matter how many times he shows his true colors to her, she will never trust him. Let alone love him. So why does her body betray her, why does she crave and want his touch? Cristiano is hell-bent on waiting until she goes to him of her own free will, but she is determined to make him wait for the rest of their lives. What will happen when danger comes knocking at their door? Will she finally realize that Cristiano will go to the end of the world for her, or will their story end in a tragedy.
I guess we will have to wait to find out…
Talk about a jaw-dropping cliffhanger! I was at the edge of my seat up until the very last word. This is the reason I personally can not read trilogies. The anticipation of what comes next is too much. But I will say, this book is so worth the wait. I would read it again in a heartbeat. I can not wait to see how this story ends! J. Hawkins has done an absolutely phenomenal job with this story and I can only expect the series to get better. I am anticipating the trilogy to end with a bang and I can not wait!
Alpha males, steamy scenes, and haunting twists? Yes please! Bring it on! Get into Violent Ends ASAP–you won’t regret it!
Violent Ends by Jessica Hawkins is book Two in the White Monarch Series. This continues the story of Diego de la Rosa., Cristiano de la Rosa, and Natalia Cruz so you really should read the previous book, ‘Violent Delights’ before starting this one. Natalia is turning out to be the prize between the brothers who both want her. This is just a crazy good read that keeps you in your seat turning pages. I just can’t get enough of this story! Which maybe a good thing since the book ends to start their next chapter which will be in ‘Violent Triumphs’, the Third installment.
Can’t wait for more!!
I’m freaking out! Just when I get accustomed to how this is going to play out…Jessica Hawkins gives me another cliffhanger!
Not everything is as it seems, I knew that from the beginning of book one, Violent Delights. Now Violent Ends tortures the readers with all we can have like a buffet as far as the eye can see. Possibilities and endless opportunities await yet the lock between us and all we could ever want, need, desire is impenetrable. One unbreakable lock separates us from everything…the key we need to enter the nirvana spread out before us is locked away in Violent Triumphs. Far out of our reach and just enough in our minds to torture is without even lifting a finger. Bravo Ms. Hawkins. If writing doesn’t pan out psychological warfare might be more lucrative. Just saying…
The need I felt for Ends is underwhelming compared to the crackling anger floating through my body in a desperate ploy to avenge my need for Violent Triumphs. So be wary of others who have read Ends and avoid your friends post read, I’m afraid it will turn into some sort of zombie apocalypse with our greedy hands grabbing at everything between us and Triumph.
