Vince is a Lion shifter, happily living life as a bachelor on the outer edges of the mix-matched clan of shifters his sister has married into. He’s fine like he is, or so he tells himself. Then one afternoon a woman wanders into his bar on the run from everything she calls home. His Lion sits up and takes notice. This must be it he thinks — this is the Mate call I keep hearing everyone talk … about. He calls her Mate and sets about trying to make her believe it — no matter how much she resists him and keeps her distance.
Visiting the hospital to welcome a friend’s new baby, Vince’s Lion suddenly surges to the forefront, roaring ‘Mate’ in his mind. He’s stunned, speechless, and anchored to the spot he was standing in when he first caught sight of the pretty, brunette nurse. Then, the woman he’d mistakenly called Mate speaks behind him. Slowly he turns, realizing this can’t be right — he’s already got a Mate, already made promises, given his word — and he’s a man of his word. His Lion is outraged, his heart pounding, his soul shaken. How could he have been so wrong?
Natalie is a nurse spending her life working in two hospitals. Every waking moment she is helping someone somewhere, in an effort to keep herself focused on anything other than her private life. She’s been lied to, cheated on, and hurt so many times, she refuses to allow it to happen again. Then, while working with a very unique couple of new parents, she runs into a man she can’t ignore. This man steals her attentions, captivates her with his presence, and it seems she unwittingly has the same effect on him. She dares to think that maybe, just maybe, this time will be different. When his girlfriend shows up to visit the new parents, Natalie’s hopes are dashed. Angry for allowing herself to be attracted to a man who is already committed, she runs — leaving him and any explanation he may have to offer behind.
But, Vince isn’t even close to ready to give up. Natalie is his. He knows it, and his Lion knows it. Now all he has to do is find her — if he can.

I’m so happy and yet also sad…..this has been one of my favorite series to read and reread! It feels like catching up with family except these have some major sexiness…….my family can keep that info, lol
Vince had the tough job of trying to have his own story while all the other characters had their own lives to live, and we really needed all this. Isn’t a complete Avaleigh’s story without all of them…….Mav makes his presence know, hahahaha. But seriously, Vince was the perfect ending to an amazing series and I’m so grateful I found these. The rereads have been something that made my dark days better.
Couldn’t tell you how many stars this is worth but way more then five…….good thing It’s not up to me!
*WARNING* contains explicit sexual content
I have read every book in this series and I’m sad to see it completed. I know there is the possibility of novellas, holiday shorts and the childrens stories, and I am looking forward to each and every one of them. I followed, laughed, and fallen in love with the characters of this series. These books can be read as a stand alone, but why deprive yourself of the pleasure of meeting such wonderful characters or reading such wonderful stories?
Vince’s Place brings the series to a beautiful ending. Vince gets his “happy”, but this story also includes a short conclusion in the lives of every member of the mixed clan that is a part of the entire series. Vince’s story is a little different because he has 2 mates, but NO this is not a menage’ story. Bam and his special gift is able to explain it. Are you curious? It is worth the read!! RECOMMENDED!!!
If I could give this book more than five stars I gladly would. Unfortunately this was the last book in this series but what a great closing it was. If you are a fan of shifter stories this is a must read. The world the author has created is amazing and the characters are engaging and fun. Vince believed he found his mate in Brandi but then he sees Natalie and wow his lion freaked out yelling mate and no matter what he can’t wait to see her again. I couldn’t put it down until the end and I hope to see this family again for the next generations stories.
A beautiful ending with a man and his lion finding love. Vince’s story was so wonderful as it was full of love and interaction of his family. Vince was the last of Avaleigh’s boys to find his mate. He had a bumping road of it at first, but with the help of his family he was able to keep his promise and his mate. I write this review with sadness and happiness. This was a great way to end a wonderful series, with hope that it is also a beginning of a possible next generation.
I was introduced to Sandra Neeleys books with the first in this series. As she has written the rest I feel that these are more than mere characters in a book. They’re like people I actually know. I’ve laughed with them, I cried with them, and I celebrated their triumphs.
It takes a very special author to bring something to life so well that you feel like you’re a part of this world. That being said, I was hopeful that Sandra would do this series justice when saying goodbye….
She knocked it out of the park! I was in a huge reading slump and Vince successfully brought me out of it. So much so I read it in one day.
I felt his confusion, his pain, and his happiness. Also the rest of the clan was along for the ride the whole way!!
Wait till you meet Maveriks kids!! LOL!
You can’t go wrong with Vince – it is truly the most sincere, well thought, and perfectly written farewell…
Such a heartwarming story!
A complex story; multiple fascinating side stories going on along with the main romance as we follow the group through portions of their lives.
I love these people, this unique family of brothers and sisters of the heart. They’re vibrant, loving, protective, and ever so fun to watch as they interact!
Vince’s dilemma, thinking he has 2 mates, is upsetting. He’s an honorable man and has made promises. With a bit of advice from Bam and some straight talk with Brandi, Vince is soon in pursuit of his dream.
This is a very emotional story for me, there were tears (mostly happy ones), as Natalie and Vince find their way to each other. And more when we celebrate new babies, then the Christmas holidays. Splendid reading throughout! You really won’t want to miss this gem!
