Viking Thrall is the first book in the Pillagers Of The North series.
Viking Thrall was previously released under the same title. It has been extensively expanded and rewritten in a new collaboration between Calyope Adams and Joanna Davis.
We hope you enjoy it!

The overuse of exclamation points ruin this book. Every page has at least one, and one page has 12 or more. They’re distracting and annoying.
Even aside from excessive punctuation, the story itself is just OK. It’s an easy read. It’s fine. Not super interesting but not horrible. There are some parts that are clunky and at times, got so corny that it took me out of the book.
Here’s their first time together:
“Tis not my sword, thrall.” “Then what is it?” “My manhood. He rises for you.” She gasped in shock. “But it is enormous!” “Aye, it tis.” “You intend to… to spear me with it!” He squeezed her. “Aye, I do. And I shall. As many times as I see fit.” “You’ll kill me! It is too large!”

This intriguing read by Calyope Adams focuses on the story of Johorr, the new Viking king who’s arrived in Scotland to claim his throne, and Adista, a community outcast who struggles to keep her younger brother and herself fed and alive. Johurrpursues Adista since he is instantly drawn to her, but she cannot trust his reasons for his interest. I recommend this intriguing historical romance which includes drama, unexpected twists, misunderstandings, kidnapping, and steamy chemistry and romance.

I liked this story. It is well written with a nice storyline and plot. Well defined characters with sparks flying and great chemistry. It is twisted and filled with emotions. Danger, drama, steam and mystery is a great mix in this story. It is a bit on the short side but that is absolutely no fault here because it has everything in it in spite of the length. The characters changes each other so they grow into two characters who finds themselves and their HEA. They match each other well. A bit of BDSM spikes the story up.
Worth the read and time. Entertaining and enjoyable read.
This is a story where the male assumes, he’s going to easily claim the woman of his dreams only to find out it’s not that easy and she’s not a push over! Magnus and Esme have a relationship that is one sided, at least at first and it’s one that they have to work on and build, it’s not instant love and roses! There romance is one where there is a lot of emotion and steam but also a lot of self-reflection on how one person views another and the effects if has on future generations. This is an interesting read and an enjoyable plot. If you enjoy Viking romances, then give this a shot it may just surprise you as it did me, having never read anything by these authors before this was an enjoyable introduction to them.
