Is there anyone to trust in this cruel and twisted world?
Devoured it in one sitting. I couldn’t wait to put my hands on this part and read it. And oh boy! Author doesn’t disappoint. There’s everything dark what I crave in a perfectly written dark romance. The hero is so mysterious and so twisted that it is hard to imagine what are his thoughts and what would be his next move.
Lies, hidden truths, suspense, danger, cruelty and great passion for revenge. His desire to posses Little Rose is almost palpable and this all thanks to the way author weaves the story and builds tension. Don’t start me on the cliffhanger… Phew, this part was extra intense.

This is the second book in this series and what a series it is! Dark, intense, twisted and emotional, this gritty and raw read will leave you stunned. Ellen and Mischa’s story is complex, complicated and at times almost mind-bending. Truth or lies? Facts or fiction? Just like Ellen you are unsure. What you do know is that the relationship between these two is volatile and contantly evolving. Packed with drama, violence, powerful emotions, secrets and scorching heat, this book (and series) will have you ensnared in its web and leave you obsessively waiting for book three.

I could not wait for this book to come out; and, I was not disappointed!! This is the second book in the War of Roses Series. Ellen Winthrop has been a pawn in a mafia war. She is in Mischa’s grip and quickly learning what she needs and how to assert herself. While Ellen is discovering her strengths, how to ask questions, she is also seeing different sides of Mischa. But, Mischa has many secrets. Will his secrets destroy the tenuous relationship he has with Ellen?
This book never failed to surprise me! Lana Sky is truly a gifted author. Once again she left me turning the very last page and exclaiming “WHAT?”!

So if I loved XV, I’m obsessed with VII! The character development for Ellen was amazing. You see her transform into someone much more self-assured and strong in the face of danger and when dealing with Mischa’s insecurities. I also really really like that we got to see a whole new side of Mischa that wasn’t really present in the first book. I noticed that this book has significantly less steamy scenes between the MC’s and I love that Lana did this because I was able to gain more insight into how their relationship worked without the component of sex. I seriously read this book in a day and i. Can’t. Wait. For. The. Next. One. While the ending was somewhat foreshadowed, it makes for the perfect turning point in the series! Absolutely 5/5!

Now that I can catch my breath, it was intense. And the ending aaahhh your killing me!!!! Now that Mischa has given Ellen (little rose) the choice to kill her old self we see her start to bloom into the person she is ment to be. There are so many secrets that come to light. Like who is Rose’s father? I understand why Mischa is the way he is about his sister when Rose questions him, but still want to reach in the pages and choke the man. He is so mean to Rose. But she surprised me how well she is coming into her own. You see the feelings are getting more and more intense the deeper we go. Now that we learn the truth about her baby it truly makes me hate Robert even more. I’m pretty sure Rose has fallen for Mischa otherwise when offering her body to him her request for what she wanted in return from him is “him”
Robert is desperate to get her back that is for sure the war is getting thick and bloody. I’m dying from that cliffhanger. I will anxiously be waiting for book 3. Lana you are seriously my most favorite author. Don’t ever stop!

“Open my eyes,” I say simply. “Let me learn this world for myself and tell me everything. Everything he never did.”
If I thought the first book was amazing, it was nothing compared to this one. The story is darker, grittier and more addictive than XV. Lana Sky has written a compelling and remarkable story that hooks you immediately. It is a complete mind bend. For every answer we get, it seems like we get three more questions. And yet, I love it!
I have to say, Mischa is mine! He is a contradiction. He acts like a cold and heartless monster but certain actions beg to differ. It seems like Mischa is determined to kill the goodness in him and it breaks my heart. In addition, he can act a bit like a surly teenager when things don’t go his way. And despite this, I love him regardless. Ellen is falling further and further down the rabbit hole. On her way down, she realises that her identity is changing. Ellen needs to discover for herself who she really is and what defines her. She also finds herself conflicted with some of her decisions but determined to ensure she doesn’t go back to Robert. There is a real battle of wills between Mischa and Ellen. Both are suspicious of each other and who could blame them? Mischa’s whole life is based around secrets and Ellen was fed secrets as truths. Not to mention the fact that they should be each other’s enemy but everyone knows who the real enemy is in this story. So when they actually hear the truth, both of them find it hard to accept.
The ending… what can I say but holy mother… It will leave you shell-shocked and screaming for answers. I’m not sure how I will survive waiting for the final book but all I can hope is that everything will turn out the way I wish. Lana Sky has me twisted up in this story so much so that even after I put my kindle down, my mind replays the story over and over again. It’s gotten under my skin and lives within my veins. Just like Mischa said to Ellen, “There will be no escape. No reprieve.” I don’t know any reality now that doesn’t include Mischa. I’ll be sad to see this series end but I need more of the story now!

Mischa Stepanov is one hot blooded mercurial, volatile and broody dude. He has my head spinning so fast I don’t know if I want to bang him like a screen door in a hurricane or put him down like the rabid dog he is. But beneath that temperamental spasmodic demeanor is a gentleness, a benevolence that peaks through every so often.
Ellen Winthrop is put through a blender and battered physically and mentally since her captivity. She is a survivor, she has endured her husband Robert’s abuse and mistreatment, and she will survive Mischa’s torture. Or will she? Mischa has found something that could break her, something that she is not familiar or comfortable with; .
VII is a quick paced, action packed read. Just as your blood is racing, and your mind is whirling and twisting, Ms. Sky detonates an explosive bomb that has you jumping up and down and screaming obscenities you didn’t think you knew the meaning of! Be prepared readers……I am still pissed at her for that cliff she left me on!!

Wow! This series keeps getting better and better. I love the push and pull between Mischa and Ellen. I love how Ellen is finding her voice and her backbone and really pushing the limits with Mischa. Some mysteries are solved, and so many more are uncovered. This series is so full of emotion, secrets, power struggles, great characters, mystery, passion, and love. A great dark and twisted read!

*This book is the second in the War of Roses Series and is not a standalone. You will need to read XV first to follow along with this amazing story line. VII is dark and gritty, with an emotional, razor sharp edge that threatens to nick you as you read. Mischa and Ellen are such an intense and passionate couple, both with explosive pasts that threaten their futures. It will make you feel exhausted when you’re finished, but in a wonderful way. I’m excited to see where this story goes when the series ends in the final book, One. Lana Sky writes spectacular books and this one is one of her best. 5 Explosive Stars!

Unbelievably addictive!!
Mischa and Ellen (Little Rose) are back in this book 2 of the series and it is unbelievably addictive! I read the whole thing in one sitting simply because I could not put it down. The entire time my chest was tight in anticipation then anguish. The heat is off the charts and the feelings that neither character will admit to is just boiling under the surface. And the cliff hanger is excruciating. I cannot wait to see what Ellen does after the new discovery. It seems that Mischa may have been privy to that information and kept it from her. What information? Read the book!
I read a free copy of this book and am voluntarily and eagerly leaving my review.

Holy moly! If you thought Book 1 was intense book 2 is going make you reevaluate what intense really means.
Poor Ellen. How much can one person go through? She never asked to be any part of this war and somehow she ended up smack dab in the middle just trying to survive. She just figured out how to play Robert’s game and now she has to figure out Mischa’s.
Mischa. You just want to reach through the pages and shake that man. He is so frustrating!! On way hand you can totally sympathies with him but on the other you just want him to grow the heck up and be a man!! That being said he is still way sexier than he should be lol
Book 2 is an intense ride. The twists and turns never stop. As soon as you accept the last twist *bam* the next one smacks you in the face. Everything you thought you knew from book 1 upside down all over you. How much longer for book 3?! I thought book 1 had one heck of a cliffhanger, but book 2 just laughed and said “Hold my beer…”

This is INCREDIBLE there are no words good enough for this epic powerful story that is full of so many twists and secrets, it is down right brutal and dangerous filled with so much pain that goes along with the ultimate revenge as Mischa and Ellen play the game a whole lot deeper as we find out a lot more information of the past. Mischa is some kind of intense and he will dominate your every thought right down to your soul even a bit scary and I love him hard, Ellen suffers so much and you have to wonder does she deserve any of this but the tension and attraction they have is out of this world and they are fiercely hot together. I am in love with these characters and you become so addicted theres no way your putting it down.

couldn’t put this book down. It’s dark and gripping. The second book in the series is an explosively twisted ride that will leave you with Moore questions than answers. It has you wishing that monsters were really knights in bloody armor trying to twist you free of the nightmares that surround you. But that is not how this story goes. There is only pain and blood, vengeance and broken people along the way. That is who Ellen is. Given the choice at the end of the last book between death or survival with a monster, she choice the monster she was coming to know. She is still a scarred and broken woman but know she is being bent upon her husband’s enemy’s wishes, though her traitorous body begs to differ. As time passes, she is at war with her mind as she fights to see her captor as anything other than a monster. Lies, intrigue, pain, and history bring Mischa and Ellen closer in a hate-fueled lust to drive Robert from their lives forever. A bombshell of a cliffhanger may derail any headway the two may have gained.

Pure Helll with a side of Heaven!
Incredibly twisted and I demand more. Powerful dominating and disturbing is the best way to describe the brilliance of this amazing read. It’s cold cruel riddled in darkness and cripples you with emotions rattling your senses and stirs your arousal for more. The storyline pushes you harder drilling deeper making me feel and see with a realistic hold that is impossible to escape and at times hard to digest dominating your control feeding your addiction page by page unwilling to release the thunderous hold it has on you until you you hit the shocking cliffhanger ending that has me furious with Lana screeching nasty words to hurry the eff up and give me MORE! This series is a festering addiction to me as is all of Lana’s stories. I had this book for 2 days refusing to read it because I had already anticipated that it was going to be fantastic only I was so wrong it was phenomenal but my biggest downfall was I couldn’t put it down I had to quickly devour it so now I’m sad and anxious because I desperately want MORE! Brilliantly written story that quickly draws you in unfolding with ease never wavering keeping you infused with adrenaline and spiraling with shock and bursts of fear. Edgy, nail-biting suspense, excitement, intense, violence, adventure, hot chemistry with explosive drama, a whirlwind of emotions and a thunderstorm of twists and turns that held me glued to my kindle until ever damnn ink stained word was read. I Flipping LOVED It.

The Truth Shall Be Free
Lana has really done it with this one. The cliffhanger that she leaves us with only has you itching to get your hands on the next one. Ellen might have been a Little Rose in XV, but in VII she has grown thorns and she will use them. Grap a copy, kick your feet up, and dive into this obsession, that leaves you craving desire.
