I love this historical mystery novels! Easy to read, fun and a great way to wind down.
It was meaningful to me as I am a seamstress.
This series is a peek at the Victorian era and at the life of a “spunky” young woman as she must make her way in a distinctly “man’s world”. Nice, light mysteries, good characters and colorful backgrounds.
Really enjoy the characters and the story lines
Quick read
Love this series!
A good read.
I really enjoy reading these books in the Victorian San Francisco Mysteries! I find myself staying up well into the night because I simply cannot put it down… I’ve read four of these books and unlike series from other authors, I don’t find a repeating story line except that the main character gets pulled into another mystery. Locke adds new characters but keeps the others. I look forward to reading more from her! Plus, I enjoy having to occasionally look up a word to discover the meaning! Wonderful!
I liked these books. Fun to read and you are taken to the 19th century world of San Francisco.
Have read all in the series and enjoyed them all. Waiting for more.
Such a fun read!
Interesting. The heroine gets a little too crazy sometimes but these are a good read.
I enjoy reading historical romance / mystery / detective novels. I have only read the 1 of the four books, but Iook forward to reading the rest. The story line kept me guessing until the end. I also like stories where the women are strong and determined, not helpless, wilting dimwit. This definitely fits the bill!!
I enjoyed this series by M. Louisa Locke. It was fun that the protagonist was much more than she seemed to be. The mysteries were engaging.
Fun books
this Author always provides an entertaining outlook to old San Francisco. I love the insight to the way things were.

I was blown away with the accuracy of San Fransisco history.
Entertaining characters. Believable situations and problem solving. Simple, a fast read, likeable characters, and entertaining.
