My name is Teal Van Doren, and I’m where princes go to die.
Vicious Prince is part of Royal Elite Series but could be read on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous books first. This is a mature new adult and contains situations that some readers might find offensive or triggering.

This book and the characters were a big surprise!! Ronan shades his whole playboy-always-smiling image & we see what lies underneath that shallow facade!
Teal, she is my girl crush. Bad-ass, loyal and don’t give any f*ks to social norm. She was a breath of fresh air, while reading.
The bullying and the “cruelness” of the charcters were much less than what you expect from a Rina Kent’s bullying book but the emotional and tragic story made up for it.
A 5 star read.
Vicious Prince is book 5 in the Royal Elite series by Rina Kent. This time the story focuses on the ever-smiling Ronan and Teal. If you have been reading this series, you have been introduced to Ronan and Teal in previous books. Ronan always seems to have a smile on his face, is quick witted and a typical playboy, but beneath the surface there is more going on and it is only through the story that we see him develop into a more rounded character, especially when he comes up against Teal, the slightly odd and unfeeling girl who has put herself in Ronan’s cross-hairs by agreeing to marry Ronan in a bid to make her and his father’s working relationship stronger.
From the first page, you are captured by the relationship that is Ronan and teal as well as the secrets that both of them are hiding. Ronan is going to do his darndest to break Teal and the engagement, but teal has come across worse things than Ronan and gives it back to him two-fold. There was certainly a lot going on in this book, not only from previous characters that we have met but also within Teal and Ronan’s relationship. Although it blew hot and cold, you can actually see the moment that both of them realise how much they like and want each other.
As with previous books there is a lot of twists and turns in why characters are the way they are and what level they will go to, to get answers, truth and closure. I particularly liked the relationship that Ronan had with his mother and Lars and we ‘again’ are left with more questions in regards to Cole and what his story is.
There is a lot of slow burning, steamy scenes within this book as well as some softer moments when Teal is learning to become more emotional. This was a beautifully written story yet it may not be for everyone and may have some triggers which will affect other readers.
Overall, another great read in a really great series.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review

Another great read by Rina. I’m little obsessed with Royal Elite series and it’s characters so I was really excited for Ronan’s story. He is my favorite of the four horseman. I love his sense of humor and even though the story definitely has some dark themes, Ive laughed at his jokes more times than I can count. I honestly didn’t know where Ronan’s story was going from the way his character was introduced in the previous books but there were hints to him being mysterious and hiding his true character. Well, his story took me by complete surprise..wow! I really liked the suspense and mystery of the book, but I’m glad that I also got more of my playful and fun Ronan that I wanted to see. I love the banter between him and Teal and that she doesn’t just fall in line after him but challenges him every step of the way. As broken as she felt, Teal knew how to hold her own and wasn’t some damsel in distress. I liked that she was a young self-assured woman and didn’t seek out others approval. Most of all I liked her honesty and the way she’d speak her truth without trying to fit in. Ronan and Teal were complete opposites in so many ways but I think that’s how they complemented each other.
And then there were parts that were really difficult to read and I had to take couple of breaks to get through them. I felt so much all at once that I really felt as if I was on an emotional rollercoaster. Both Ronan and Teal have dark secrets in their past that have been haunting them for a very long time and when those secrets come to surface, they threaten everything! I think I was holding my breath for good part of the book not knowing what will happen. Im sad that it’s only one book and loved my baby Ro so much. I can’t wait to read the final horseman’s story next after some of the juicy hints we were given. Thank you Rina for Ronan and Teals story.
This is the fifth book in the Royal Elite series, and the story of Ronan, and Teal. This book was another must read in this series, and I was glued to the pages, and never wanted their book to end. This was beautifully written, the characters have explosive chemistry, and their story captivated me. This was intense, dark, twisted, dramatic, emotional, passionate, and steamy.
Ronan and Teal took me by surprise and the best way possible. Their push and pull while undeniably being met for each other was everything. Once again Rina weaves a story that has you hooked and turning the pages until you hit the end.
Now let’s talk about how badly I need Cole’s book!!
5 stars all the way!!!
OMG…there’s so much! Rina Kent will keep you on the edge of your seat in this heart-pounding dark and edgy romance. This book is emotionally tumultuous, heart-wrenching, powerful, moving, indelible, guttural with gritty real issues that are deliciously addicting. Please be aware that there are some triggers/contents that some readers might find disturbing/upsetting. This book is flawlessly and poignantly written—Ronan and Teal’s bittersweet love story from the Royal Elite series, which is the fifth book in the series. Their story touched me in so many deep-seated ways that I was completely sucked into the vortex of the rich/powerful, and I feel like I just got off a crazy wild roller coaster ride from hell! I felt everything Ronan and Teal were going through down in my soul. I was captivated from start to finish! I think Rina Kent did a superb job in bringing the darkness of sexual abuse to the forefront and didn’t shy away from showing how bad things end up when a person becomes sexually abused and the painful choices you have to face. What can I say, Ronan and Teal are full of surprises—I was flabbergasted with the unexpected revelations that happened, but it is jaw-dropping good! Not all of its surprises are pleasant ones, but there is a certain satisfaction in experiencing a thread that is so obstinately unexpected.
The playboy and earl’s heir, Prince Charming also known as Death for his position on the football team, Ronan loves to party, smoke weed, is completely unrepentant, arrogant, and lives his life the way he wants, no concern for the opinions of others. Ronan acts reckless, dominant, and deliciously dirty. All the smiles and humor he flaunts is because of all the hurt and secrets he camouflages so well. This vicious prince is no fairytale. Teal is the foster sister of Elsa, has a twin brother Knox, is shy, and dresses like gothic. Ronan becomes enamored by the feisty, sassy, and beautiful woman—their attraction and chemistry is so intense, alluring and mesmerizing, binding them to one another perfectly. Ronan and Teal’s journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, and secrets. What Ronan does not know is that Teal has a secret that nobody knows. What is the secret? Will Teal be able to walk away from Ronan? Can true love bloom from false beginnings? Or will this fairytale end in a happy-never-after? What happens next? Well, read this amazing story and find out! The story has a revenge plot, outlined to make you question everything. Second guessing motives and characters. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. Rina Kent, you did it by constructing a deliciously edgy romance that is stupendous and will lure you into the wee hours and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend this book.
I have to say I was so excited to read Teal and Ronin’s story but I got thrown for a loop with this one! Ronin is not the person we all got to see in the first RES books. At first I didn’t like him as much as I did during the other books but the more I read into the story and learned about Ronin’s life I wanted to hold him and be his friend. We also learn why Teal is so awkward and quite. Another amazing story by Rina and I can’t wait to read Cole’s story! There’s one part in the book that has me dying to know about it!
Teal is awkward and quite and agrees to become Ronin’s fiance when things fall through with Elsa. But Teal is only agreeing to this marriage because she has a plot of her own and it involves getting close to Ronin and his family. But the more those 2 are together the more there attraction becomes clear that her plans might take a back seat once Ronin is in the picture!
Ronin doesn’t want a finance thinks he’s to young to be betroved and especially to a girl who is awkward and hides behind goth clothing. No matter how hard Ronin pushes Teal she only pushes right back. There are secrets they both harbor and make they wear but when there together those masks fall and they see the real person hiding behind that mask. But will Ronin and Teal’s attraction for eachother have a happy ending or will there secrets destroy any chance at happiness they could potentially have?
“He’s the calm after the storm. He’s the light after the darkness. He’s everything”
It’s been a few days since I’ve finished Vicious Prince… & I needed a few to process what I read because Ronan & Teal’s story was not only unexpected but full of twists, turns and some seriously heartbreaking secrets. VP was a read that shocked me in the absolute best possible way! Seriously, with each book in this series Rina Kent continues to outdo herself! SO GOOD!
These two went to war with each other… both making assumptions about the other but when guards are let down (sort of) and they both let the other in… A connection was the last thing T or R expected. Just WOW! Ronan & Teal were so unexpected… angsty, sassy, over protective and intense… to see the other sides of these two…GAH! They will steal your heart, break it and then put it back together piece by beautiful piece
I absolutely loved Ronan and Teal’s story. Well written storyline which draw you in, intrigues you and captures you attention. I loved Ronan’s Character in the previous book, and had looked forward to his story. Both characters are written with depth and have a level of damage to their personality, with this in mind a reader needs to be aware of triggers.
I’m not normally a can of high school of bully type romance, but there’s something about Rina’s writing that is addictive. If you haven’t get discovered this author, and like dark books, I highly recommend her.
Although this is part of a series, this can be read as a standalone.
Just when I think I’ve read the best Rina Kent book to date, this one falls into my lap. I’ve been waiting for Ronan’s story since reading Deviant King and to say I’m blown away is an understatement. The push and pull, the angst, the twists, the steam. It’s all there. I don’t know how she’s going to top this with Cole’s story, but I’ll be ready to have my sky high expectations blown out the water. Once again Shane East and Kiera Stevens bring the angst to life in this duel narration story.
I received an advance copy of this to review from Wildfire marketing on behalf of the author. My review is unbiased and all opinions herein are my own.
“I’m out of words and I’m on need of time to recover after what I read. Pure magnificence!! Ronan and Teal’s story overcame my expectations in the most amazing and mind-blowing way. Ronan has a piece of my heart and it was inevitable. ‘Why do you keep trying to hide under you mask?’ this quote from BTS’s song ‘Answer: Love Myself’ popped into my head for his story. My heart still aches remembering. Teal was a great girl. The lengths of her deepness was precious to read. Together they were explosive and their chemistry was undeniable. Amazing story. A must read indeed!”
Just when I think I have found my favorite RES couple, Rina writes another book and a new obsession ensues. This story broke me. Watching Ronan and Teal struggle to control one another while battling their own inner demons emotionally destroyed me. I felt a deep connection to them both and their pain felt like my pain. It says a lot about an author when they can create a world where a reader can completely lose themselves in the characters and their journey. Ronan and Teal’s love story squeezed my heart and brought me to tears.
Vicious Prince is the 5th book in the Royal Elite series its Teal and Ronan’s book.
Rina has done it again, this series each book is an amazing journey and this was no different.
This book appeared on my Kindle on my birthday so to say i was excited is not enough i was estatic elated i could go on. I had been dying for this book and it appeared with no warning so it was the best birthday present ever. I love this book hard i love all the boys Aiden, Cole, Xander and Ronan, they are all different in their own right and i love them all i wouldn’t know who to choose if i have to lol. When i first met Teal i loved her right from the get go, Teal is Elsa’s Foster sister and Twin sister of Knox. Teal barely shows emotion especially in public and always has a wall around her which she doesn’t let much people in. Ronan is the typical play boy but with a secret like no other. When Ronan and Elsa’s father find a way to make their relationship an arranged marriage, Teal steps up to the plate for her sister and offers herself to marry Ronan. But she holds a huge secret as too why she is doing this . Things between these two is off the chain hot i dont know but i swear this one was so much more hotter than the others .
Ronan and Teals relationship is a love hate one from the start but soon they start to see how much alike they are and how much they need each other even if they fight it, But Ronan is holding a secret too. Ronan wants to break Teal so she will call off the engagement but Teal has a plan and no one is going to stop her getting what she wants. Teal fought Ronan every chance she got, Ronan thought she would be easy to break and he could get what he wants but she shocked him and proved him so so wrong. What will happen when both secrets come out? Will they survive each other? Will Teal finally let Ronan in once and for all? or will it all end in disaster? Will Ronan finally get his wish of Teal calling off the engagement? or will they finally realise they are a match made in heaven and give in? Read it and find out. This book is not for the faint hearted as there is some touchy issues raised. I could not put this book down and i cannot wait for it to come out on paperback so i can get if for my collection. Bring on Cole’s book please as im dying now.
Another great story to this series. This is Ronan and Teal’s story. Ronan is the laid back funny playboy who liked to agitate his friends and Teal is the distant and standoffish. Teal volunteers to take Elsa’s place to marry Ronan in an arranged marriage. Ronan is not happy and he threatens Teal to call it off but when that doesn’t work he resorts to blackmail. As these two battle each other it turns out they are more alike than they seem. This one was a bit emotional and we get to see another side of Ronan. Truths and secrets are revealed. I enjoyed This book and look forward to reading Cole’s story.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
It is so difficult to find a series where each book with different characters continue to become better than the last and even though I loved every book so far I was excited to read about Ronan. In previous books he is the laid back, hilarious, sweetheart that hides a lot behind his gorgeous smile but I just knew there was some sort of darkness that haunted him. When we find out my heart breaks for him and I started to understand him a lot better. Teal has a darkness too that we knew a little about and then we discover just how difficult it still is for her to deal with. These two come from very different worlds and hate each other but the tension is tangible and undeniable. Teal has her own agenda and Ronan just wants to live his life the way he wants to so they continue to butt heads throughout. My heart hurt for everything they deal with and how they don’t handle it well but can they find something that works for them or will they let their need to be independent and free keep them apart? This author has created a world with amazing characters that sometimes you love to hate or just absolute fall hard for and Ronan is perfection. I’m excited to see what in the world Cole is up to in his book and see more of the four horsemen.

Sweetest groovy Vicious prince with dark past
Mysterious heroine with a mission about her dark past
Hot Hot sex
Amazing chemistry
Arranged marriage
Ronan prince Astor, I can say that you are my favorite hero from all the four horsemen. Your jokes, your smile, you are an amazing human being perfect for someone as Teal belle Van Doren.
As for Teal you badass queen, you are simply you, strongest character from Royal elite series. You are perfection with all your “imperfection”.
To Teal, Ronan and all the survivors out there. You are worth it, you are beautiful, strong and You are important. A lot of people who will read your story will known they will never be alone and I hope one day you will find your vicious prince or belle
Like Ronan said “’ .”

Trigger warning
This is the 5th book in this phenomenal series and is Ronan and Teal’s story. Due to a marriage pact Ronan and Teal are engaged, and he is trying any which way he can to convince her to break the engagement so they can go their separate ways, however, she has her own reasons and agenda’s for going through with it. These two are both so broken and stubborn, and where Ronan hides behind his smile, Teal is quiet, and sees life and situations through different scenarios than others. My heart broke for both characters. This is a beautifully written story which has undeniable chemistry and is a dark and intense bully romance with unpredictable twists along the way, as well as having secrets, drama, and is a steamy tale. I was completely captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this talented author’s work for all.
Been looking forward to this book since first meeting Teal, as the quiet always seem to have more to say. She’s beautifully broken, see’s life different to the rest of us, now it’s time to see if her and Ronan can balance each other out before more pieces of her break.
A war is brewing… Will they stay on opposite sides, or will a truce be made? And even if it is made, how much and who’s blood will be shed prior/during? Also who is on who’s army when the battle lines are drawn?
Both stubborn as each other its interesting to watch. Although I have to say once T’s layers started to be uncovered, I found myself protective of her but almost snarling at Ronan. Never saw that coming as loved him in all the other books.
The twists and turns that come will shock you. Definitely reccomend.
Book five in the Royal Elite series, and to get the whole picture of what has happened and the build up and all that jazz… read the previous stories first. Now, we have watched Ronan from the very start, as one of the four he rules the school and as we found out in the previous story, is now engaged to Teal. But that’s the thing, he doesn’t want to be engaged, and now all Ronan has to do is convince Teal to break the deal and they go on their separate ways. But Teal has her own reasons and she is not going to let Ronan bully her into forgetting her purpose.
I really enjoyed this story, we get thrown so many twists and the secrets that come out and just… WOW. Teal and Ronan did not disappoint and now I can’t wait to see what Cole is up to… my greedy self also wants Knox to get a story. With really good drama, some amazingly hot naughty bits, and a few very interesting situations, I give this 5 stars.
This author knocks it out of the park with this fast paced & engaging enemies-to-lovers romance in her wildly popular Royal Elite series! If you’ve enjoyed her previous books, then you will absolutely devour Vicious Prince. This author has an amazing talent when it comes to weaving together an original story that is wrought with heartbreak, passion, drama, a smattering of humor, and happiness. She is a master at creating characters who are complex, likable, and well developed. Yes, this includes her anti-heroes that you hate to love and love to hate.
I’ve been looking forward to Ronan’s story since the beginning as this gregarious bad boy with a sense of humor captured my attention from the get-go. I just knew that there had to be more to him than his flirtatious personality and penchant for throwing epic parties. Ronan’s character is so much more than the happy go-lucky guy that he appears to be in the previous novels. This boy had edges and that is what makes him both an interesting hero as well as endearing.
Now let’s talk about Teal for a moment. I don’t think I have ever been so captivated by a heroine before. She is a uniquely complex character who is a bit damaged but not broken. Her strength & resilience are admirable and I love how she is ever practical, a tad socially awkward, and has zero interest of fitting in.
These two are seemingly opposites and yet, they are exactly what each other needs. Individually, I loved them as characters, but together they are something remarkable.
While Vicious Prince is marketed as a high school bully romance, I would say that there is minimal bullying within these pages – especially when compared to the previous books. Did that detract away from the story? Absolutely not! Full out bullying would not have fit with Ronan’s character, but the enemies to lovers theme was perfect. While there is drama and action in this book, it isn’t as over the top when compared to what we’ve seen in Black Knight. If you are looking for an entertaining opposites attract, enemies to lovers NA romance, then you will definitely want to read this book.
Overall Rating: 4.5 stars
