What he doesn’t know is that I’m out to destroy him too.
My name is Teal Van Doren, and I’m where princes go to die.
Vicious Prince is part of Royal Elite Series but could be read on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous books first. This is a mature new adult and contains situations that some readers might find offensive or triggering.

I could not put down this book! Rina Kent has such a way with words and she always finds a way to entrap all her readers into her emotional and dark world. This story is emotional and touches upon topics that are very sensitive and traumatic so please read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.
Vicious Prince is a story about soulmates. Ronan lives the “perfect” life. He gets any girl he wants, has the bestest friends, and can throw the greatest parties but behind it all, he is lonely and flawed. Teal, on the other hand, doesn’t believe in love. She doesn’t like to draw attention to herself but she isn’t afraid to bite when provoked. Of course, she has her own trauma that she must overcome and to do so, she needs to exact revenge through Ronan.
I’ve always been drawn to Ronan and Teal from the very beginning of this series and I couldn’t wait to see them break down their walls for each other. When these two come together, they are fiery hot. Their chemistry is intoxicating. You can feel the hate, the love, the pain. Reading their scenes fueled me with so much emotion, I was teary-eyed, breathless, and hanging onto every word. This duo is so magnetic. There is no doubt in the world that these two aren’t made for each other.
Vicious Prince is book that tears at your heartstrings. Rina is an author that always draws you in from the very first sentence and I’m so excited to read Cole’s book.
This author truly writes stories that will keep you hooked from page one and loving every minute of it. These characters are so great and I just couldn’t get enough of them at all. Enjoy this series quite a bit
Some say that still water runs deep. Some say the prettiest smile hides the deepest secret. In this latest installment of Royal Elite series, both statement couldn’t be more true.
Aside from Aiden, the other character that I wanted to know more about was Ronan. His approachable, outgoing personality that he shows to everyone is just surface value and I know that there is more to this guy. I wanted to dig deeper to know what made him the man that he is now. Teal is an interesting character to say the least. She appears to be anti-social and marches to the beat of her own drum. These two couldn’t be more opposite but as you read their story, you will find they have a common ground.
To this day, I still don’t know what to say exactly. There was so much build up and anticipation on my side. I was surprised, saddened and furious for what Ronan and Teal went through in their childhood. Knowing this, I felt that I breezed through this book. The arrange marriage angle managed to add some depth and spice to the story. Still, I enjoyed it and eagerly anticipating Cole’s story.
We finally got Ronan and Teal’s story in Vicious Prince and their story was surely filled with dark secrets, manipulations and suspense.
The light-hearted and carefree Ronan and the socially awkward Teal appeared totally opposite. The clashing and taunting between them were a given. It was suspicious for Teal to voluntarily go into an arrange marriage with Ronan. I didn’t expect the secret behind her hidden agenda was so scandalous. The cheerful Ronan proved to be more complex than what everyone saw on the surface. Once the walls around their heart was lower, it was evident that Ronan and Teal were more in common than opposite because they both share a darkness that they both understood.
I enjoyed this raw, dark and heart-wrenching romance. However, I find that the pace around the middle of the book a little too slow and dragging. Also, the hints that the author laced in the story made the ending a little too predictable. The mysterious Cole is coming up next and I hope that his story would be as tantalizing as the previous books in the series.
Note: Please take the trigger warnings seriously as this book touched on some sensitive and traumatic experiences.
I volunteered to provide an honest review of an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Teal and Ronan were both so broken but a match for each other. I didn’t want this story to end. Another excellent read for this author and series.
Simply amazing!! Ronan and Teal’s story is unique one of a kind and a book that I couldn’t put down. The angst, twists and turns had me at the edge of my seat. I needed to know what was going to happen next. Ronan and Teal’s past was so heartbreaking. These two opposites couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. Now I’m dying for Cole’s story next!! This is a must read!

Sweetest groovy Vicious prince with dark past
Mysterious heroine with a mission about her dark past
Hot Hot sex
Amazing chemistry
Arranged marriage
Ronan prince Astor, I always knew that you would be my favorite hero from all the four horsemen but, after reading your story you are in my top Ten book boyfriends. Your jokes, your smile, you are an amazing human being perfect for someone as Teal belle Van Doren.
As for Teal you badass queen, you are simply you, strongest character from Royal elite series. You are perfection with all your “imperfection”.
To Teal, Ronan and all the survivors out there. You are worth it, you are beautiful, strong and You are important. A lot of people who will read your story will known they will never be alone and I hope one day you will find your vicious prince or belle
Like Ronan said “’ .”

Now we wait for Cole and Silver, for only one month
Trigger warning
I have been looking forward to Ronan’s book throughout this series and it was worth the wait. He and Teal were electric! I loved getting to see a new side to Death. There is so much more to the ever smiling aristocrat and I loved it. I wasn’t a huge Teal fan in the previous books, but I am singing a new tune now.
Vicious Prince is a must read!
&
After reading Black Knight I was very excited about Ronan. So far he always seemed like the most approachable of the Four Horseman. He is witty and funny, has always a smile on his face and just enjoys life. But with Rina Kent‘s writing, the inside of a character can be the exact opposite. I started reading and at first I was a bit doubtful if I would like this book as much as Black Knight. However this changed quite quickly.
Ronan and Teal seem to be the complete opposite of each other, but they do have an unmistakable connection. It starts with a lot of hate, but their chemistry is full of passion. It was so extremely exciting to get a look inside of their heads. Teal seems so cold on the outside but she is a real sweetheart on the inside. Her emotions are just a bit different than most peoples are. Her story was heartbreaking. I love her relationship with her brother, who is again very different than her. But these twins stick together no matter what. I really hope for book of Knox. He is very intriguing as well.
When it comes to intriguing characters, I definitely have to mention Cole Nash, who made me even more excited for his book. I just need to know about his kinks and his relationship with Silver! The waiting for August will be hard as hell.
Last but not least, I need to talk about Ronan. His family can be a pain in the ass, but his love for his mother is genuine. Seeing him with her was beautiful and my heart was definitely breaking for the little boy who went through so much. Ronan will always be a charmer, but his real self is charming too. His feelings for Teal were unexpected but I loved how he realised that there is so much more between them, which isn’t only physical but emotional. I loved how their lovestory progressed. The passion was hot, their conversations were funny and their background heartbreaking. Rina Kent blew my mind again and I can’t wait for Cole‘s story!!!
I never thought this story would be this dark and twisted.
I always thought Ronan’s story would be lighter than any other horseman. The book really surprised me. It was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved the ride so much!
Vicious Prince (Royal Elite #5) by
Rina Kent
5 STARS
Wow…. Just WoW
This book was so gooood. Amazingly good. I LOVED IT.
Vicious Prince is the fifth book in the Royal Elite series by author Rina Kent, it is written in dual POV and tells the story of Ronan & Teal. It can be read as a standalone, but it would be best if it’s read like a series. It is my second book that I read from author Rina Kent, the first book being Black Knight.
I met Ronan in Black Knight, and I loved him since then. I love the funny, the hilarious type. But as Teal said, all is a facade. He has his own demons. A hurtful past, just like Teal.
My heart broke for Teal, she had a hurtful childhood, just like Ronan, only she couldn’t fight back and defend herself, as Ronan did.
For me, this book was dark light. I loved it so much. It was funny. The way Teal didn’t take any crap from anyone, especially Ronan. They were like cat and dog.
The playboy & the satanic girl. The way neither one of them backed down.
That part with Charlotte, for me, was the hardest. My heart broke to pieces for Ronan, as a son, and for Charlotte as a mother.
I loved that I got to see again the previous characters from the series, and definitely a little inside for Cole….
Dayummm…. I can’t wait to read his book.
I loved Ronan’s relationship with Cole, and definitely how all of them (Aiden, Xander & Cole) made fun of him, and how can’t you not?
How can you not make fun of the falling of the greatest playboy?
I know Ronan had a special relationship with Xander, which is his soul brother, but in my opinion, he had something to with Cole too, something different then what he had with Xander. I think they shared the same darkness.
Rina Kent is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors and definitely a one-click author to me. So please, if you haven’t read it by now, or haven’t read at all her books, you DEFINITELY HAVE TO.
I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK.
Rina has shredded my soul apart and then meticulously with each word written and every page turned stitched it back together with this book. This story is beyond gritty and raw with so many emotions being dragged from you, you can’t help but feel completely depleted at the end. No reserves, nothing left, after this intensely honest and all-consuming read.
, ’ . ’ .
I have been dying for Ronan’s story from the very start. I knew it was going to be a wild ride that I had no way to prepare for and I was 100% right about that. Ronan will have you breathless and wanting from the moment you open this book. The heat and passion that burns from these pages between Teal and Ronan is Pure Kindle Fire!!!!! But not only that but the raw reactions that Rina brings out in you will cause your entire self to ache; your stomach to clench and tears to pour down your face for what’s written.
’ .
I knew without a doubt that I was going to fall in love with Ronan and I can confidently say that I love him more than I anticipated. The realness that Rina brought out in him makes you fall for him even more. I always knew there was something behind the façade that he showed and the depth with which he runs is endless. His darkness is covered with a pretty smile, but it is no less there in between the cracks. This man will have your heart breaking for him and everything that has come to pass.
. .
But the surprise that I did not see coming the most was Teal. The way Rina handle the revelations behind her were done with such delicacy and understanding. She doesn’t hold back taking us into the darkness to show us that yes even though it’s dark there is also light. Rina handles the mental health aspects with the dignity that they deserve showing us a reality that many have suffered through and the progression of pulling yourself out of the shadows.
This isn’t just a story about love but one of forgiveness and acceptance. About knowing deep down who you are and that you are strong enough to survive anything. It’s about taking back your power and knowing that your person will be there to catch you should you ever fall. This book is about how love can ultimately help you to heal the broken parts and make it just that much easier to breathe. Bravo Rina for outdoing yourself yet again and having me fall more in love with this series than I already was. If you haven’t started it yet you are missing out!
LOVED IT!
Ronan and Teal were so, so easy to read.
I loved getting to see the other side to Ronan, the one he hides so well.
Two broken souls who bring down each other’s walls. Two broken people who complete each other. Two broken humans who made me smile like a creeper because of their banter, games and steam.
This was such an amazing book. I loved it!!
Ronan is now my favorite and I am not okay. My heart hurts… I’m going to curl up into a ball.
Ronan and Teal are both so broken that they somehow fit perfectly together. They both use coping mechanism to hide what they are really feeling, they are just on opposite ends. My heart broke over and over for both of them. I just want to hold them both, although I’m pretty sure Teal would punch me if I tried lol.
I also always love seeing the horsemen and getting different views of the group from the different guys! Can’t wait for Cole’s book now!
Vicious Prince by Rina Kent – 5 stars!
First of all, I gotta say that I am really impressed and surprised by this book. In the beginning Ronan was my least favourite character of the group and I wasn’t too eager to read his story. But when teasers about his story started rolling in, I became intrigued. And now as I’ve finished ‘Vicious Prince’ I have to admit that I was wrong in the beginning and that I fell in love with his character, his character development and his girl
The writing of this book was on point as usual. I am a huge Rina Kent fan and her style is the right mix of bully, love, sex and intrigue. Vicious Prince falls right into those categories!
Vicious Prince is Ronan and Teal’s book. Ronan is one of the four Horsemen of Royal Elite High School. Teal is Elsa’s (from the first three books in the series) adoptive sister who was introduced in one of Elsa’s book in the beginning. Whereas Ronan is an only child, Teal also has a twin brother. They went through thick and thin and share a deep connection.
For the first time we were introduced to Ronan’s family life in Vicious Prince. It was previously mentioned that he’s the son of an Earl and is therefore aristocratic.
In this book it became christal clear why he always seemed to be the life of the party and just put on a happy face all of the time. The hate for his father. The love for his mother. Rina Kent did an amazing job of guiding the reader through glimpses of Ronan’s life and she explains perfectly why Ronan is the way he is. This broke my heart a little – this guy is so strong
We also learn a lot more about Teal. Because – as mentioned in previous books – Teal was willing to marry Ronan in an arranged marriage. He was not happy about it, but Teal had plans of her own. She too, has been through a lot in her past and is still struggling with the aftermath. Whereas Ronan is all smiles and sunshine on the outside, Teal is hard as steel. She barely shows emotions and keeps kinda to herself. She had been through so much and Ronan treated her like shit in the beginning… I wanted to strangle him. But soon they both fell hard for each other.
This couple surprised me on so many levels… you have to read for yourself! But I can recommend this book to anyone that’s a fan of Rina Kent, the Royal Elite series or just a sucker for dark High School novels
5-Vicious-Stars
“My name is Teal Van Doren, and I’m where princes go to die.”
Vicious Prince deserves ALL the stars. I binge read this baby. As soon as it hit my kindle, I submersed myself in the Royal Elite world and I loved every minute of it.
Rina Kent really outdid herself with Ronan and Teal’s story. I swear each book release just gets better and better. Gah, I can’t wait for what she throws at us with Cole’s book in August!!!
Ronan is every bit alpha and possessive as Aiden and I loved reading how he unwillingly falls for his girl initially but wont let go after that..it was emotionally gripping too..Teal is strong and just perfect for ronan.I loved watching Aiden,Xander and Cole stand by Ronan and help him in getting his love. Cant wait to read about Cole!
Vicious Prince is Ronan and Teal’s story. A dark, intense, hot story with a twist you don’t expect. I cannot wait for Cole’s story!
Ronan and Teal story is my favorite of this series hand down! I have been Ronan’s story forever and I’m genuinely surprised at the character shift in his story and I found myself loving him even more. There’s so much of a facade behind his goofiness that I found him enduring and Teal omg how I adore her. Teal is battered but not broken but in a way that is different and makes all the more likable.
This book is a stand-alone but for better understanding I highly recommend reading the other RES books first . Having said that this book was phenomenal! I’ve been reading Rina Kent’s books since she published her first book Crow and I’ve read every single one she has come out with since and she simply AMAZES me on her writing she gets better and better just when I think she can’t out do a book she does just that ! She definitely has a knack for writing about broken characters and giving them depth and bringing their story to life in such a captivating way I am left in awe and speechless. Definite must read and definite 5 stars from me and IMO everyone needs to read this story !
*** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book ***
FIVE ANGST STARS for Teal and Ronan !!!
The book left me speechless…
Honestly, I imagined Ronan’s book completely differently and Rina surprised me from the very beginning to the very end of the book.
Even in my wildest dreams, I would not expect such action as Rina put in this book.
Rina has shown again that she is a skilled writer because she has once again proved that no matter how many books a series of her has, every book has special actions, especially characters that are hard to get out of your head.
“Vicious Prince” is a dark bully high school romance with arranged marriage and enemies to lovers tropes.
Teal is a female character that touched my heart. She is a character you will not often meet in books. Her past really broke my heart.
Ah, Ronan.
He completely surprised me!
I expected his playful side throughout the whole book, but I got a character who, with the help of a smile, hid his true face and the past that held him back every day.
At first, I couldn’t imagine Teal and Ronan together, but through this book, I realized that their relationship really makes sense because they are so different, and yet so similar.
If you loved previous books from the “Royal Elite” series, then this is definitely a book you NEED to read next!!!
Highly recommended!!!
P.S. Can’t wait for Silver and Cole’s book!
