Have you ever met someone who possessed a quiet radiance so rich, so dynamic, that you ached for more, someone whose presence is so compelling you feel refreshed by a single conversation with them? If you know someone like this, you anticipate your times together. You realize their joy is contagious, their peace is deep, and their compassion is engaging. Such people are “vibrant.” Regardless of … Regardless of their socioeconomic status, their education, their marital status, or their health, these people are determined to live joyfully, seeing each obstacle as an opportunity for growth. The vibrant individual’s persona is attached to their convictions rather than their circumstances.
Author Carol Burton McLeod believes everyone can choose to be Vibrant: Developing a Deep and Abiding Joy for All Seasons—and such a life begins by emulating Jesus. His life was filled with challenges and yet people were drawn to Him. Every character trait that we are called to embrace, every action of kindness or love, and each word of compassion or tenderness is a telling reflection of Christ within us. We are called to be a vibrant show-and-tell of what God is able to accomplish through one ordinary person.
Carol explores what it means to follow Jesus in a world filled with disappointment, rejection, and discouragement. And she provides gentle encouragement and suggestions from Scripture to help us do just that.

This author models how to live a glorious Christian life in her living and her writing. This encouraging book explains how to reflect the joy of the Lord in all the tough circumstances we meet in our daily lives. She shares from her own sorrows and struggles and how she taught her children with positive reinforcement. She makes it sound simple and obvious, but we know it does take purpose and consistent effort to grow more like Jesus. This guidebook can help make the path clearer and may be one you wish to read more than once. It would also make a great book for group or family discussion. Its eight sections are divided into a total of thirty-nine chapters and cover such topics as “Learning to Love What I Hate,” “Unseasonably Abundant,” and “Practical Persistence.” Her writing style is easy to understand and relate to. I think this book should be in every church library. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.
The vibrant colors of the cover of Vibrant immediately grabbed my attention. I had to read this study. Examining topics such as “Dare to Prepare”, “Ridiculous Advice”, “Two Choices” and more this book captures the idea that no matter a person’s circumstances he or she may live abundant rich lives.
Carol McLeod provides a map by which readers embark on a journey that allows them to find joy and more. Full of illustrations, quotes, Biblical passages, personal commentary, and prayers, this book would be perfect for personal study or group study. Savor the pages of this book and the words that appear on those pages.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
Vibrant is a unique book. It talks about how some people live their life full of joy and exuberance. And just being near them is contagious and fills our cups with joy and happiness.
Why are we not all like this? Can we train ourselves into this?
We can all be vibrant. We can all shine and sparkle and radiate joy. But first, we have to not let our surroundings and circumstances influence us. Instead, we must follow God and live through that. We choose what we radiate.
I really enjoyed this book and it definitely has some parts and sections that I will be going back and reading again. It is also one that I will definitely be recommending to others. I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think too.

I found Vibrant: Developing a Deep and Abiding Joy for All Seasons to be a pleasure to read. It is, also, the first book I have read by Carol Burton McLeod. It is such a beautiful book of faith. She offers some wonderful words of encouragement and comfort. It was full of enjoyment and important lessons to live by in life as Christians.
Vibrant: Developing a Deep and Abiding Joy for All Seasons is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are looking for some faith, inspiration, and Biblical truths. I would love to read more by Carol Burton McLeod soon. I will be holding to this one and re-read it over and over again.
I received Vibrant: Developing a Deep and Abiding Joy for All Seasons from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
I have been excited about reading this book since I found out about it. I have been needing encouragement and learn how to smile in good times and bad. Let’s face it, we all want to be vibrant. I love finding out the meaning of words and the author open doors to a world where I can understand what being vibrant really means. One of the definitions she found for vibrant was, “ flourishing in every season.” Oh yes that definition grabbed hold of me and I shouted for joy. See I want to be able to praise God no matter what my circumstances are. When things aren’t going well, I want to thrive in His presence and show others that God is in control.
I loved how the author set the book up with different topics accompanying by prayer at the end of each chapter. She gives us questions to think on and digs deep into the Word with easy to understand illustrations. With all the information she provides the one thing that really summed it up was, “read your Bible.” There in the pages of the most important book ever written is truth, encouragement , hope and joy.
This book goes through different steps to show how we can be vibrant everyday. I was thinking I would tell readers what my favorite chapter was. I can’t do that because each chapter builds on each other like building blocks. When the last block is placed, we have the tools to live a vibrant life. It all works together step by step with wisdom and prayer. It is not something that we will achieve overnight and there are some tough subjects the author addresses. Prepare your heart and allow the Word to soak in as you discover how to be vibrant.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
