Hot bachelor Max Carlisle is heir to a media empire, tabloid catnip, and… wants to hire me to be his fake fiancee. I know what it takes to keep a billionaire in line, but signing up for seven days in close quarters with this Very … days in close quarters with this Very Irresistible Playboy? It’s just asking for trouble. The kind of thrilling, reckless trouble I could use a little more of since my career is currently ass-backwards in a mud bath with six shih-tzus (don’t ask).
So do I:
a) Take the job, and bicker wildly every step of the way?
b) Embark on a mad-cap treasure hunt to claim his billion-dollar inheritance?
c) Try my hardest not to fall head-over-heels in love with him and wind up having the best sex of my life?
d) All of the above?
Something tells me I’m about to be way out of my league… and under the most handsome, infuriating man I’ve ever met. But with a fortune on the line, can we beat out his crazy relatives to win the prize? And will our fake relationship be game over at the finish line?

Loved the characters.
This was a fun read. I always enjoy books by Lila Monroe. She is one of my go to authors that I can count on to write an entertaining storyline. This was an adventure of sorts that included greed, love and turmoil with some very funny situations.
enjoyed storyline. better than some
Very unrealistic…..
I loved how you made this family react to a grandfather’s little scheme. I never saw the ending coming that you gave. I loved reading this romantic getaway.
One of the best I have read this year
This was an enjoyable read with an interesting story line. I stayed up way to late finishing this one.
This book was not what I thought, but better. Good read!!
2018 published, both POV, contemporary, easy to read, M/F romance, NYC, plot, read, romance, sex, steamy.
Loved it!
I enjoyed Hallie and Max’s journey to discover what really matters in life. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline.

I enjoyed reading this story! I love how it starts and gets better as you read and you want to keep reading to find out what happens and I love the ending! I recommend this book and the author !!!!!
I love Lila’s books. Always entertaining and good storylines with added spice.
Who knew a scavenger hunt with a hottie could be so much fun? I love this book.
Cute story. I enjoy this author.
A fabulously funny romantic start to a new series ! Hallie and Max have an unexpected meeting at a wedding . Hallie is following her dream as a photographer and Max is a guest. A misunderstanding, a very hot kiss and these two kids move their separate ways ..never to meet again? No fate has other plans for them. They meet again, a business deal is made and the adventure begins! A sexy smart business man and a beautiful , sassy talented photographer are now on ride of their lives.
I loved the chemistry between these to characters. Their banter is amusing and so entertaining . Max is a great guy but somehow Hallie brings out the best in him and he wants to be and do better. Hallie has such talent and if she only believed in herself as much as Max and the people around her she would be set! This couple plays so well off of each other . Loved their story!

I loved this story.
The storyline was so engaging and the writing so fluid I’ve finished it too quicly and now I’m regretting it because I have to wait until April to read the second book in this series.
Hallie and Max journey was adveturous, hot and full of discoveries and feelings.
VIP by Lila Monroe is the first book in her brand new Billionaire Bachelors series. Lila Monroe is a must-read author for me. I absolutely adore the compact stories that take you from meet-cute to hot and steamy to angsty drama to happily ever after at a perfect whirlwind pace. The books can be devoured in one dedicated sitting and her heroes and heroines are addictive. Strong females, alpha males, passion and heat – it all combines to make great story after great story.
Hallie quit her job as a successful executive admin for Jack Callahan (Perfect Match) and decided to finally take the risk and explore her photography dreams. It isn’t all it is cracked up to be but the wedding from hell that she is assisting with does have it’s high point right before everything goes down the drain – or in the pond…
Max can’t stand 90% or more of his family so when his grandfather has told everyone to attend his 85th birthday in Palm Springs he knows a change is coming. But he is happy reporting worthy stories for the family empire, Carlisle Publications. Globe-trotting is more his thing, not running the empire from behind a desk. In order to keep the family off his back he decides to take a fake-girlfriend to the family gathering. What could possibly go wrong?
I loved this story and cannot wait for Cal’s story in the next book in the series, Hot Daddy: A Romantic Comedy. Enjoy!
VIP, Lila Monroe’s first book in her Billionaire Bachelors series is a fun, quick read. Each book will be a standalone novella with an overlapping theme. I really enjoy Ms. Monroe’s lighthearted stories. Improbable but entertaining, VIP is an easy cheery escape from reality.
When Hallie’s attempt to make it on her own doesn’t go so well, a chic woman, Olivia, offers her a hand up. And her offer is really on the up and up but there are a lot of loop holes and hurdles one can get tripped up in. One of them is the charming and charismatic Max Carlisle, a relatively irresponsible playboy. He is just an assignment—one week tops, but you know what they say about the best laid plans and good intentions…
I really liked both main characters Hallie and Max. They are grounded, good looking, and they have fabulous attitudes. Their chemistry is obvious and their banter is fun and flirty. Hallie may not be from the top echelon of society, but she is at ease with herself and others. That and her moral compass take her far. Her good looks take her right into the forbidden arms of her assignment, and that fake relationship puts a big red target on her back for his money-hungry cousins to aim their daggers at. I adored that Hallie’s upbeat attitude really pushed Max to admit how much his family’s history and legacy mean to him. He just needs to have his mettle tested to prove his commitment and leadership to both himself to his family.
Franklin, the aging patriarch of the Carlisle dynasty, throws a big twist into this story with his games and ultimate motivations. Franklin is much more sly and cunning than his family gives him credit for. This cantankerous octogenarian has a keen sense of people. I loved his role in the story and how Hallie’s involvement dovetailed nicely into his plans.
