-Tinks-From the moment I befriended him, I set a conspiracy in motion.A revolution.Kill Peter Pan.And I was their ultimate weapon.I was also none the wiser, falling hopelessly and irrevocably in love with him as the years went by.Just as they hoped I would. But their plan comes to a screeching halt when Peter vanishes into thin air, something I’ll learn has nothing to do with Rosewood at all.You … to do with Rosewood at all.
You see, Peter never truly loved me…because he loved a wench instead.
He lied to me, he used me, he left me, and he broke me.
Forever altering me in ways that incite revenge when Hook sweeps in with revelations and the ultimate truth.
Peter may have turned his back on me, but in the end, he and his precious little Wendy will choke on every last tear I once shed.
And I’ll have Hook to thank for that.
-Hook-
It’s no secret I always despised Peter Pan.
A common threat amongst the factions, I should’ve killed him when I had the chance, long before he sank his claws deep into Tinksley’s heart.
But his death at my hands wasn’t what the plan called for, despite how I felt for her.
I’d always been drawn to the girl, innocently enough at first…until that vile abomination marked her with his stamp, unleashing a sense of propriety I had no rights to.
Didn’t matter—he had her…and I wanted her.
Then like magic, he disappeared.
I thought my time had come, but the road to owning Tinksley’s heart comes with a price.
A price so dark and depraved it strips her of her purity and awakens the beast within.
All because of the truth.
Sometimes, there is honor in revenge, and it will be my utmost pleasure to watch as Peter Pan finally meets his maker.
His maker who will soon be my Queen.

I was completely wowed by this story. I’m not very familiar with the story of Peter Pan but I loved this one so much! It had such a great twist I definitely wasn’t expecting. The supernatural aspect of it was also amazing. The story was so well written and I couldn’t put it down. If this first book is any indication of what this sinister fairytale collection is like it’s going to be phenomenal! Looking forward to the next book in this series as well, I will be one clicking. Five stars without question ! By Tiffany
I had no idea what to think going into this book, with the author being new to me, but I can say I am happy I did dive in! This first book in the Sinister Fairy Tales Collection was so good! Not only was it wonderfully written in fairy tale land, but the characters were so addictive! Tink, Pan, and Hook are going to lure you in and keep you craving the next page.
This first book in the series has definitely made this entire series be on my TBR! Plus, I look forward to reading much more from this author!
This retelling peter pan with tink and hook was enjoyable I loved the twist and turns this retelling brought forth.
Venom by Dee Garcia is one of the stories in the multi author Sinister Fairytales collection. This novel was a retelling of the classical Peter Pan failytale but in a more twisted way and I enjoyed every minute of it. Hook and Tink were awesome well-developed characters and their story held my attention from start to finish. I loved Hook from the beginning of the story and with every passing chapter I fell for him even more. The evolution of Tinksley’s character from naive and sweet to a bad, take-no-prisoners woman was amazing.
This novel was well-crafted and layered with excellent world building. With vampires, sirens, fae, fairies, witches and hybrids this was paranormal at its finest. It was dark, hot and steamy, with lies, secrets and twists you would not see coming but will all have you glued to the pages.
This was my first Dee Garcia novel and it won’t be my last. Venom was a fantastic read, worthy of a 5 star status. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of dark and twisted paranormal romance.
3.5 stars
Venom is a gritty and sexy retelling of Peter Pan, featuring Tink and Captain Hook. The captain is straight up dreamy af. He can take me aboard his ship any day of the week!
I love Dee Garcia and her strong, kickass heroines. Tinksley is no exception. I loved her towards the end of the story. I wish I could have seen more of her ferociousness throughout the book.
If you are fan of fairy tale retellings, I’m sure you’ll love this book. It’s full of twists, turns, and secrets. I’m looking forward to more books in the Sinister Fairy Tales Collection.
Ok so I have to say this…. I am not usually a PNR fan. But I liked the premise of this story and thought I will give it a try! I am so freaking glad that I did! I freaking loved this story! It felt like it was starting a bit slow but when it picked up…. it took off! I was all in…. not wanting to put it down… sneaking read time at work…all of it! I am really enjoying the world of Rosewood. I am totally in…I want more! Dee Garcia pulled me into this world of paranormal beings and I was ALL HERE FOR IT! These kinds of books usually don’t hold my interest at all…. but Dee manages to keep me engrossed in their world the entire time! I wish I had more time with Tinks and Hook! But I am also just as excited to see what stories the others have to bring! (and if I get bits and pieces of what Hook and Tinks are up too that will be even more awesome) Yes I would recommend this book! I already have and gotten some people to one-click it already! Go be one of them!!! Get it now!
Fantasy romances aren’t normally my thing but I will give anything a go and this book did not disappoint. Venom is a twisted telling of Peter Pan that will have your idea of Peter, Hook and Tink blown right out of the fairy dust that normally surrounds this story. It is dark, distorted and will have you shocked to the core. This is a distinctive retelling of this story and one that will have you at times in utter surprise. I wasn’t sure at times whether to love or hate Peter and this had my whole idea of Hook blown out of the water. Your heart will literally beat out of your chest at times as you ride the wave of darkness. Venom is a story packed to the brim with every emotion possible, from anger, passion, confusion, hurt and at times frustration. This might be considered a slow burn but the heat that radiates between Tink and Hook will have your wings in a flutter. If you like a story that is dark, twisted and has your mind reeling then one click this first book in the Sinister Fairy Tales Collection as you will be hooked.
Wow, just wow, this was my first book by Dee Garcia, it won’t be the last, I have read fairytale retelling before, non had me captured and intrigued me more than this book did. I love the dark side of the story, having Captain Callan Hook and Tinksley going on was an amazing story. I will never see them any other way again. The twisted dark side of the story is fantastic, it had everything I ever wanted to get from a villain turned to hero and well you just need to get this book and star reading because believe me you haven’t read anything like this before. I am so on board into reading the whole Sinister Fairy Tale Collection for sure.
I seriously LOVED this book!!
Peter Pan was a surprise! A surprise I felt so sorry for until I read more of his story & then I wanted to smack the sh*t out of him!
Tinksley oh Tinksley, I wanted to hug her! She did come into her own when she finally came to see the truth.
Captain Hook was another surprise! He is now my favorite book boyfriend! He is so possessive of Tink when he gets her where he wants her & its just perfect in my eyes anyway.
Captain Hook, Tinksley, Peter Pan, the twist, the turns, the OMG, WTF did I just read moments! You seriously need to read this book!!
A seriously dark twist in the fairy tale we grew and loved, that will forever be ruined BUT it is so worth it and I’m okay with it!
Jesús! Yep just added the accent to emphasize and catch my damn breath. You’ll be catching yours too.
I want more. More of this world more of all the damn characters just fricken more.
Callan and Tinksley will tug at all your heartstrings and consume you. Callan is your tall, dark and handsome with a side of sexy creeper. Tinksley is young but so passionate and a spitfire you can’t help but love her.
This isn’t your normal rollercoaster, no it’s a fricken free for all with questionable seatbelts. All bets are off. What you thought you knew, you didn’t. What you wouldn’t think possible? It sure as heck happened.
Dee Garcia showcased an enthralling story that was woven with many elements, executed details eloquently and will leave you salivating for more.
I want to claim Callan so bad!! Like seriously can I add him to my hashtag pile Dee??? #NotAskingForAFriend
This isn’t your mama’s Peter Pan! This is a deliciously dark, twisted, suspenseful, and steamy retelling of the classic fairy tale Peter Pan. Dee Garcia does a phenomenal job of totally remaking this story into a dark unique delight! I was captured from the beginning and enthralled in the tale. There are so many emotions packed into this story. It was intense, intriguing, and had me hanging on the edge of my seat. The plot twist had my mouth gaping open and my heart racing. Did I mention the angst is off the charts???
This was my first read by Dee Garcia but it won’t be the last. I enjoyed every last minute of this book. Dee Garcia took this tale to another level, and gave this classic tale a whole new meaning. The chemistry between the main characters was sizzling hot! I mean, can I please get Captain Hook now?! I am also anxiously waiting to see what happens with Wendy’s story! I highly recommend reading this book.

I have to admit that I don’t read a lot of fantasy/paranormal type writing any longer, I kinda burned out on it a few years ago. So I always hope that when I do read something in the genre, that it’s good enough to help overcome the dread I feel when first starting anything like this. Well, I can safely say that Venom is more than good, it’s excellent. This dark and twisted retelling of the Peter Pan fairy tale is far, far better than the original tale. I loved Tinksley and I loved Hook, both individually and as a sinister, super sexy couple. If Dee Garcia were to write a continuation of just their story, I’d read it in a heartbeat. I can see by the note at the end that Wendy’s story is coming and I’m waiting impatiently for it.
Taking readers for an incredible ride yet again! I truly love everything about this story. I couldn’t put it down! I honestly feel like I just don’t have the accurate words for the greatnesses that is this story so I’ll just say you need to go one click this bad boy fast!
Wowzers!!! What a book!!! Venom by Dee Garcia has taken a known Neverland story and twisted it into something truly remarkable. I enjoyed every last word, devoured it actually. Hook and Tinks story is not the one you think it to be, its dark and suspenseful. Tinks is strong and brilliant but also defiant and reckless. She is captivated by Pan but this gets her nowhere. Hook is the one that loves her and wants her love in return but she fights it till she cant anymore. Strong story, strong writing and even crazier plot line. Definitely a must read in my mind!!! Well done!!!
Delving into the world of Peter Pan, you think of the Lost Boys, Wendy Darling, the infamous Hook, and the pretty, while sassy pixie Tinker Bell.
Erase everything in your mind that you know about Neverland because like Dee Garcia says in many of her teasers—it doesn’t exist.
Welcome to Rosewood where you’re not ready. YOU. ARE. NOT. READY. Dee Garcia takes you into a new world with twists, turns, things that are going to make your eyes widen and say to yourself “What. The. F*ck. Just. Happened.”
The characters are raw, beautiful. The twists are nuts and unexpected. And Hook, well, he’s mine.
Dee Garcia paints an enticing world of descriptive and narrative, something that I never dreamt these characters could be. They are everything and more. She writes, not the textbook definition of dark fairytales, but tweaked and killed it. Assassinated it in the best way possible folks.
What a damn way to kick off the Sinisters Collection.

Wow this was my first book by Dee and it didn’t not disappoint! I’m always a little hesitant when reading a book about a fairytale that you know from your childhood but Dee put a whole new spin on Peter Pan and it was oh so good!
I can’t wait to see what the next book holds!
Hook has been in love with Tinkerbell with what seems like forever but there’s just one problem she’s in love with Peter Pan.
With so many twists and turns most you won’t see coming! Make sure you grab this book to see edgar happens you won’t believe it! Bring on Wendy’s book im dying to know what her book will be like!
Wow! Venom blew me away! I was hooked from the prologue!
I never cared much for Peter. Always seemed to have a sneaky side to him and boy was I right! At least in this story. The secret he hides doesn’t seem to bother him in the least.
Hook? Oh that vamp has me twisted in all kinds of knots. The things I could do to him. He’s dark, twisted, sexy and a lovable villian. Just imagining Hook’s deep, sultry voice speaking to me. Wet. Melting. His air of confidence. He takes my breath away!
Tinskley gets caught in a web like a hopeless fly when it comes to Hook. Hell who wouldn’t!
Venom is one badazz, sinister fairytale that I highly recommend!!
Dee Garcia has outdone herself with this masterpiece! I can’t wait for the rest of the Sinister Collection to be released!!

The first book from the Sinister Fairytales is starting out with a bang. Is there anyone who did not read and love the story of Peter Pan as a child? Well this puts that story in a whole new light. Tinksley is the daughter of the Fae king and she falls in love with Peter. He reciprocated her affection and then disappeared. Captain Hook, Callen, is a devilish one who has fixated on Tinksley. Through a series of events, Tinksley loses her way and winds up in the last place she expected. Will Tinksley be able to handle her new reality? This is one creative, well written storyline that gives readers a succulent taste of what happens on the darker side of this classic story. Packed with vivid descriptions, drama, and twists along the way, this is not a children’s fairytale and you will be itching to sink yourself into it. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
She does it again
Fairytales with a twist? Hell yes. Sign me up. Turn the Villian into the hero and the typical Hero into the bad guy? Even better. Dark instead of sugary sweet? It is like a Festivus Miracle. My dark and greedy heart could hardly contain my glee. It was as if someone had read my mind and realized that I didn’t want the unicorn floating on cotton candy clouds type of retelling but needed the darker side in order to make me happy. All my life I have been drawn to the darker side, especially in regards to certain stories. This was done with exceptional talent because this took one of my favorite former shows (Once Upon a Time) and brought certain elements back to life. I, of course, loved Hook on that show and boy howdy do I feel victorious after this book because it fulfilled my dark Captain Callan Hook to delicious standing.
The author did a great job bringing the story of Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Hook to life. The characters are there but that is where the story changes. And let me tell you that there are a lot of them. There are moments at play in this story that will have you trying to figure out how this is going to play out. There are a lot of secrets, all sorts of supernatural creatures; FaeVampire hybrids, Faes, Witches, Vampires, Sirens. The author did a great job with worldbuilding giving the necessary background to make the newer version have a twist that was plausible. She nailed it because there was some whopper of truths that came out, especially towards the end that had my mouth agape. Takes a lot to shock me but trust me when I say that the “catalyst” for triggering Tink to do what she does at the end? That I didn’t see at all.
The characters, even with familiar names, were nothing like their child-friendly characters. The characters had depth and were intriguing. Even names of characters that I hadn’t heard of before had a compelling backstory that I am assuming will come out with future books in this series of standalones. Hook and Tink together were titillating. The chemistry was on point. I love how Callan was so steadfast in his love of Tinksley that he wanted to make sure that she saw him as a good man EVEN though he was known for not being one. He knew what she needed even before she did. He offered her guidance, support, a little humor, and a lot of anticipation before the steamy time. AND that Steam was HOTTER than Hades and so worth the wait. Tinksley transition from pure and untainted to something darker, and more devious was alluring to watch. I loved her transition both figuratively and literally. Tink. Sweet Holy titfire. The author portrayed her brilliantly. She wasn’t the sweet little thing that everybody has come to love. She went through “something” major and it broke my heart. The author did a phenomenal job portraying this. I felt the agony, the pain, and more. She gave these details with description and also in just a single word. One place in particular that single word gave me goosebumps just because if I closed my eyes, I could see it as if it was happening before me. Mindblown.
I have followed this author from the very first book and her growth is staggering. Each book is better than the previous one and it is my privilege to watch her grow. She chooses her words carefully to ensure that she creates a story that will appease her audience. I look forward to what is coming in the future for this series. This author definitely knocked it out of the park being the first up to bat. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next.

Oh Captain My Captain! I loved this story tale retelling! It’s was deliciously dark and twisted! Venom is part of The Sinister Fairytales Collection. You will be begging to enter into Rosewood with these dark and enchanting characters!…and so some of that Venom (cough cough).. I really don’t want to give anything away! This retelling is the best I have read! Garcia has created something so alluring you will be dying for more! I know I am! I wasn’t prepared for the twists and turns this book took or the level of “Dark”!Whew! I was intrigued, and seduced, and then I was heartbroken and shattered, then I was full of malice and fiendish! Tink, Hook, and Pan will never be the same for me! These characters were phenomenal and I just know nothing will compare now! I have always loved this fairytale and I wanted to be Wendy and be with pan so I wouldn’t have to grow up! Well, all I can now say is, pan is definitely for the birds! Give Me Hook! He was such a complex character. Definitely blows my mind how much he appeals to me. I didn’t expect to love this book so hard! Tinksley was a chess piece, my heart and mind felt so many things for her! The betrayal and secrets are unimaginable, they most definitely knocked me on my ***. I’m very excited that this will be a part of a interconnecting stand-alone series! Seriously the best new ever because I want more this Realm! Don’t pass up this fairytale retelling! It’s the absolute BEST! I know I will be day dreaming of these characters for days to come! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
