Christine Feehan takes romance full throttle in the second gripping novel in her #1 New York Times bestselling Torpedo Ink series.Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club—and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her … who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.
As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers he lived through hell with. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy, or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.
Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again—especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help, and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined…

Not one of her best, disappointed, the story repeats it self over and over
Three years ago, Steele kicked the only woman he ever cared for out of his life. He never expected to see her again, even though he looked. When she shows up at the club looking for help he won’t let her walk away twice.
This was a dark second chance romance. So do not read this series if you have a problem with this. Steele, along with all the Torpedo Ink members, were brought up in a school being abused, raped, and tortured daily. They became assassins and now that they are free from the school they spend their time hunting and taking down human trafficking rings.
Steele meets Breezy three years before during one of their operations to bring down a human trafficking ring. Her father was leader of the Swords and their club was running humans, among other things. He instantly is attracted to her and they spend one year together before he makes her leave. Their relationship is very controlled. Steele is always in control and expects Breezy to follow his lead, but he does respect her wishes if she doesn’t like anything. It is very Dom/Sub in my opinion.
“That’s what you’re all about, Steele, protection of everyone around you.”
Breezy was forced into the club life and now has extreme PTSD about anything involving a club. She struggles with Steele being a part of Torpedo Ink because she believes all clubs were like the Swords. It takes a lot of time with the members of Torpedo Ink to see they are very different and actually care about one another. Breezy is very caring and nurturing which makes her the perfect person for the damaged and controlling Steele. That said, she still stood up for herself when she felt the need.
My biggest issue with this book was the conversations between Steele and Breezy. They started to feel repetitive which got to be a little boring. The pacing of the story also felt off to me. This might have been because of the repetitive conversations but I am not sure, it could just be me.
Overall, I liked Breezy and Steele’s story and look forward to reading the next one.
Reader Warning:
– Hero was tortured and raped as a child.
– Heroine was abused and raped growing up.
– Topics of pedophilia, human trafficking, and torture discussed.
– Torture and killing of others happen during scenes.
Oh these too. From the beginning this story is intriguing and heart pounding with plenty of feelings to slap you in the face.
Bre’s struggles to be successful and Steele’s struggles to get his family together and safe is everything!
Would recommend this series.
*trigger warning for darker aspects of story
This a second book Vengeance Road about Torpedo Ink with Breezy Simmons and Vice president of the Torpedo Ink ,Steele. This novel of Breezy, and Steele it’s great. Also a add bonus they have someone important to them both, and it maybe the glue that holds them together, forever. There a history that’s about Breezy, and Steele. What they have together, a second chance romance for them. Now this is a sample from the book of Vengeance Road on page 4, just a sample ( she slapped the envelope onto the bar, “Give that to Steele.” She turn to go, her gaze sliding around the room once more. At the sound of her voice , three woman stirred in the far corner of the room, their sleeping bodies pushed aside by the man who lay under them. The movement drew her eyes. He half sat, shoving at dark hair spilling onto his forehead. It was thick and wild, a little out of control. He blinked drowsily at her. Her heart faltered. Stopped. They stared at each other, her stomach lurching. Breezy threw dignity to the wind. She ran. Fast. She heard the sharp whistle following her, but she already flung herself into her pickup truck and thrown it in reverse, foot stomping on the gas pedal…) This is just a sample from the beginning of the book from page 4 and it is a wonderful novel.
The characters in this book will break your heart. If you have never read any of the Torpedo Ink series however I do not recommend starting with this one. This story deals with child abuse and other adult themes. It will have you crying and cheering for the hero and heroine.
love her new series!!!
4 1/2 STARS!
Intense and unputdownable! With an explosive return to Sea Haven and the men and women of Torpedo Ink MC Christine Feehan nabs the reader from the first page when VP Steele’s former love comes crashing into the clubhouse. The tension is high, the emotions are all over the place and the steam is off the charts. Looking forward to diving into more of the series soon!
Breezy Simmons has a readers attention from the second the first chapter starts because we can almost feel her pulse rising and fear taking over as she prepares to step foot into the place she hates most in the world. She’s an intense character who has to not only confront the fear of what she might lose, but the roller coaster of feeling over the life she’s led and the man she never stopped loving.
Lyov “Steele” Russak is intense. He made himself the healer and protector of his family and friends during their childhood of despair and nothing much has changed in his attitude to this day. He’ll do anything he has to in order to protect … even send away the only woman he’s ever loved.
I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who enjoys a powerful MC who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty if it means their loved ones are safe. There’s a history of intense abuse behind this MC, but a whole lot of heart shines through as they find their happily ever afters who are willing to love them through the horrors their memories won’t let them forget.
Wow
Love this new series, talk about taking your emotions on a roller coaster ride!
She always leaves me wanting more and anxiously awaiting the next book in her series
With Vengeance Road, the Torpedo Ink series has become my new obsession. The second installment’s hero is VP Steele, the doctor of the MC and a man whose childhood damage is compounded by mistakes he has made as an adult and the weight of guilt, long on his shoulders. His counterpart is Breezy Simmons, daughter of the Swords MC president. Breezy comes to find Steele after three years apart in desperate need of his help. She doesn’t want to be around him, but circumstances and the evil that is the Swords brings them back together.
This is the type of read you either love or hate because there are things within the story that rub people the wrong way. However, if you keep in mind that Breezy was part of an MC that had zero respect for people in general and her in particular and Steele is not an ordinary person (and that it is fiction) then this story can suck you in.
Filled with intense action, hotter than heck sex scenes, heartbreaking past reminiscences (both for Steele and Breezy), and interaction with other Torpedo Ink members which gives readers a deeper look into each, Vengeance Road is well-paced with vivid characters. A great MC/romance read that I can’t wait to see more of.
Vengeance Road is the second book in the Torpedo Ink series by Christine Feehan. It’s set in the MC style romance with some hard hitting issues which may trigger some readers. The book looks at the relationship between Breezy Simmons a young woman who has grown up in the MC life with her father and brother who aren’t good people. Abusing Breezy from a young age, both sexually, mentally and physically she has had to grow up quick. Thinking she was in love with MC brother Steele, but not everything is as it seems and Breezy is left alone and devastated.
Fast forward to the future where Breezy has to find Steele again to let him in on some secrets and get his and his new MC: Torpedo Ink’s help. Steele is a chameleon of a character, having to play role in the previous MC he was in to save children from a horrendous fate, he thought the best thing he could do was cut Breezy loose so she was safe and she could live her life, having no idea of the secret that she had to hide and what he must do to protect both Breezy and his son.
This was a really intense read for me as both characters as well as secondary characters had suffered unspeakable horrors and certainly were different from those ‘normal’ types of people in society. That being said you want to keep reading until you find out what happens at the end and can I say, I can’t wait to read the stories of other characters. Breezy and Steele’s relationship is deep, scarred and passionate. You understand why Steele is the way he is and the author has dealt with his PTSD in a sensitive manner. Breezy for me was just an awesome character, she was so strong, sassy and also didn’t bend to Steele’s will just because he wanted her too.
There is a lot of action in this book with a really intriguing and captivating story line. Sexy scenes are passionate and leave you wanting more and I can’t wait to read more books in this series. You also don’t necessarily have to read them in order unless you want to.

I LOVE the Torpedo Ink series, and regularly go back for re reads while I wait for new books in the series.
Vengeance Road is Steel and Breezy’s story, and man, are both their backstories filled with pain! But it’s that pain that makes their HEA all the more sweeter, in my opinion.
I loved it. As always christine feehan did not disapoint. She is my favorite arthor
Really good book. Even better than the first in the series.
This is another one that I read in one setting. I can not read this authors books except on the weekend as I can’t seem to put her books down.
Could not put this book down! Can’t wait for the next installment. I highly recommend this book and all her others as well. The characters are well written and all are individuals true to themselves. They have their own quirks and are not perfect. This is one I will read again.
Anything by Christine Feehan is great!
Have Enjoyed the entire series thus far.
Hard to put this book down. Enjoyable twist to her Sea Haven series.
Christine Feehan scores another great read. She is at the top of my authors list.
