I’m furious and determined to see her on her knees. Begging.
… Again.

Instead, I find myself on my knees. Apologizing.
Yet, before we get our chance at happiness, evil threatens to sink its claws into her.
The only way to defeat it is to reveal the truth so dark Elena may never forgive me for keeping it a secret.

This romance has mystery, drama, memories of the good and the bad a decade prior. Told in both POVs, kept my attention from the start with A couple of minor Spelling errors but easily can be passed over.
Elena sacrifice her heart and signed her body and money to the devil, just to save Josh from prison for a drunk driving accident involving and bicyclist. Her 18th birthday with be the last day of her semi-freedom. 7 years Ellie went through hell at the hands of her demon husband and had only her friend Natalie to help her, no family or guardians beside the man that owned her even as a 14 year old girl.
Josh was Ellie’s brother best friend before her brother was killed in a rip tided, they know the other for a long time. Both families were involved with Hollywood and acting/agents. Josh fell for her when she was at her lowest but he protected her as best he could little did he know that she would be shattering his heart few years later.
When the wedding came to merry the devil words were spoken between Josh and Ellie and then later when she is married when she gives Josh the gift that always belong to him but this magical act became the beginning of years of abuse, hatred and control.
9 years later when things were looking up, closures, forgiveness but their past isn’t as dead as they hoped and Josh will need his mother to give him the secret she has in her brain to give everyone what needs to be done and dealt with, but at what cost?? Will there be a HEA for Josh and Ellie or will the past keep them separated with control by the devil??
Wow! This story gets pretty intense and it will blow your mind. The characters were sensational and the story was wonderful.

I did enjoy this story, it had some twists and turns which i liked and some very good characters. It was written well and the story did grip me from the beginning. With this said I just don’t think it was very memorable. I cant put my finger on the exact reason why but its just not a book i will remember. Overall it was a nice quick romance story that i did enjoy and i would read books by this author again.

This is a second chance/ enemies to lovers story but it is so much more. When I first started to read this story I knew from the warning that there was content that was not nice to say the least. So reading those parts my heart was in my mouth and I wanted to Kill Robert. Plain and simple. I also didn’t much like Josh, especially what he said to Elena. What that girl had to go through with Robert doesn’t bear thinking about but what a strong woman she turned out to be. Having said all that true love will out and eventually the veil of lies was finally torn apart. A very intriguing storyline which was a definitely a page turner. Excellent characters, good dialogue and good interesting supporting characters and I am glad Lucas and Aurelia have their own story. One which I look forward to reading. A new author to me but one I will watch in the future.

Hope is stronger then hate…..

She could hardly recognize herself in the mirror and truly there was no choice not for her anymore everything she was doing was for one person only even he never understood her actions this was for him.
That box was a bad omen from a past she tried to escape and now it found her.
My parents deaths was the catalyst for everything that happened to me.
Josh was floored she was a live he wasn’t even sure what to call her, his dear step-mom or some obnoxious form or other everyone thought she was dead.
Elena should have known this was inevitable the two of them in the same room with all the pain, anguish, and mountains of hate.
Josh couldn’t control himself his bitterness for her choosing his own father over him the wedding night that was his.
She possessed every part of him and he loathed and despised Elena maybe even himself.
Robert had been a predator who took advantage of her youth she’d been naive when he’d badger her into signing everything away.
Josh didn’t wanted to fight he needed answers and if all he did was provoke hostilities between them he’d never get what he wanted.
She should have known the weasel would have tried pull something like this but shot the pen is still a mighty weapon.
Josh wanted nothing more than to crush that cock roach under his foot however he let him Scurry off.
He’d had enough of being stonewalled at every turn all he wanted answers.
Josh, your no better then me and all this has always been your faulted.
He wasn’t sure until she finally laid the whole sorted kitten caboodle out for him.
He’d never thought everything was his fault he’d been so stupid and blind.
Elena hadn’t wanted to be seen she desperately wanted to stay in the shadows were she didn’t have to explain anything to anyone.
As they started to rebuild their lives
unfortunately the past isn’t buried like
They thought and now there facing a devastating tsunami that threatens to tear them apart unless Josh can find the key to destroy the big bad bogeyman.
