Jimmy Vaccaro, the Demons on Wheels MC Treasurer known as Vassago, hasn’t seen Marie Vitale for nineteen years. When she shows up unexpectedly in Creek Ridge with Digger, Vassago is hit by the thunderbolt. Marie was only 11 the last time he saw her, but she’s all grown up now, and Vassago must have her, no matter the cost. Digger and Vassago have plans to take care of rival Mob boss Roberto di … Roberto di Stefano on their own. But when the real reason Marie tagged along with Digger from Brooklyn is revealed, it throws the entire MC club into danger, and puts a major kink in Vassago’s plans.
Marie worshipped Vassago from afar when she was younger. But once he discovers the mess she left back home, she’s convinced she will never be more to him than a casual fling. And that’s if he survives the danger she brought along.

Book #6, Demons on Wheels MC series. Ravenna Tate’s again pulled us into this lifestyle with a riveting surprise ending!
SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK #6 IN THIS SERIES. THERE’S A SIGNIFICANT BACKSTORY FROM THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS THAT’S ESSENTIAL TO UNDERSTANDING THIS BOOK. READING THOSE BOOKS IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED: THE BOOKS, IN ORDER, ARE: TANNIN’S THUNERBOLT, GORGON’S VENGEANCE, MASTEMA’S OBSESSION, PHENEX’S RETRIBUTION, AND RAHAB’S DOMINATION. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THESE BOOKS, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Jimmy Vaccaro, a/k/a Vassago, is Treasurer of the Demons on Wheels MC. Recent threats and attempts on the lives of club members, not to mention Vassago’s cousin, Donny Messina, have become intolerable. One man, Roberto di Stefano, is responsible. Vassago and his friend, Digger, know this has to end. They’ve come up with a plan. Protection of friends, brothers, and family mean everything. There’s just one catch…Marie Hall! When Digger shows up with Marie in tow, Vassago’s hit by the Colpo di fulmine, the Thunderbolt. Many deny its existence, but Vassago’s heritage makes him a firm believer. It’s been over 20 years since Vassago last saw Marie, but the Thunderbolt’s never wrong. Only Marie’s there under false pretenses. Vassago soon realizes Marie not only puts the MC in danger, but she has the ability to destroy his and Digger’s carefully crafted plans. What does he do? He’s torn between the his feelings for Marie and the knowledge she may be the worst thing to have ever happened to the MC. He may never return from his mission. Despite the 20-year separation, Marie’s adoration for Vassago has never dimmed. But Marie knows her duplicity and Vassago’s mission make her days under the MC’s protection numbered. She’s also sure she’s nothing more than a casual fling to Vassago. Can Vassago, Digger, Donnie, and the rest of the MC forgive Marie her lies? Will Digger and Vassago fulfill their mission? Failure isn’t an option. As Marie sits, waiting in fear and desperation for her future to be decided, Digger and Vassago take enormous risks. With so much at stake, can Vassago or Marie move beyond the past, forgive the present, move forward? The better question is will Vassago and Digger survive? If not, the Thunderbolt means nothing. Can Marie live with that, knowing she’s the one who may have destroyed everything? One thing is clear. It will take a massive leap of faith, a nearly impossible trust, plus incredible skill and luck, for there to be any future for the MC or Vassago and Marie.
This is the last book in the Demons on Wheels MC series. Ravenna Tate’s written an ending you’ll never see coming! Vassago’s absolute devotion to his MC brothers, family, and even Marie, make him irresistible. Marie’s betrayal, her strength, and her ability to hold her own in a lifestyle she doesn’t understand make her seem incredible selfish, cruel, and yet self-aware simultaneously. The detailed descriptions of this lifestyle give insight and perspective into the MC and what drives them. There’s intrigue, suspense, uncertainty, and, of course, erotic romance. Vassago’s real struggle to accept Marie’s betrayal, set against the backdrop of his certainty of his love for her, is captivating. The upheaval and conflict catches you totally off guard. Ms. Tate knows exactly how to enthrall in ways you never expect. The tension, fear, uncertainty, hope, and possibilities are real. This book is the culmination of a series I never thought I’d become so invested in. Vassago’s Reckoning deserves nothing less than five stars. Thank you, Ms. Tate, for a stunning ending to an incredible series.
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
