Vantage Point is the next book in the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. This book was amazing, once I started it, I had to finish it. Of all the books in this series, this is my favorite. I loved the way the characters relationship built, and the exploration of the characters. I was always wondering what would happen next, on the edge of my seat all the time. The story is a rollercoaster of emotions, and action filled, never a dull moment here. I can’t wait to see what this author continues to do in the future. Great read! I give this book a solid 5 stars.
5 Stars
Vantage Point is the fourth book in the Gray Ghosts series by Amy McKinley. It is Hawk Ares and Stella Klein’s story- and is a fantastic, adrenaline fueled, action packed romantic suspense. It has drama, violence, gunfights, showdowns, grudge matches, hidden agendas, suspense, mystery, twists, intrigue, danger, gripping situations, thrills, and plenty of emotion. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through, devouring the pages to discover what was happening, holding my breath, and being catapulted from one intense moment right into another. I won’t go into detail, because I really don’t want to spoil it for you. I recommend going in ‘blind’ and getting swept up by all the excitement.
I was hooked from the beginning- caught up in all the action, thrills and danger- right there with the character’s experiencing everything alongside them. I adore this series, everything about it- Ms. McKinley out does herself every time, with each new release even better than the one before it.
This could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the rest of the series to get all the backstories, character information, and other pertinent details. As well as the other books being fantastic stories in their own rights! You can’t go wrong with Ms. McKinley at the wheel!
Can’t wait to read the next book!!!!
Thank you, Ms. McKinley!
Vantage Point by Amy McKinley a four-star read that will point you in the right direction. This is the forth novel in the Gray Ghost series and I have read them in order and enjoyed them as such as they each show a different side of the story. This time its Hawk who is the team member we focus on, and he has more sides in this story that a cube, he is quiet but has so many different ways about him. Each of the Gray Ghost men are amazing, but hawk just seems to be deeper than the others, Stella is a great woman and deserving of a great man.
Vantage Point by Amy McKinley
4 Stars!!!!
Wow what can I say but wow. This is yet another book in the Grey Ghost Series and I wasn’t disappointed. I really find the author’s writing style to be refreshing. The book has just the right amount of drama with the right amount of romance to go with it. I was unable to put the book down.
I really like how Stella and Hawk’s lives come entwined. The chemistry between the two is very endearing. The way that Hawks past comes into play with the dramas that are unfolding in Stella’s life really bring a twist to the book. The author really grabs the reader from the get go and leaves the reader wanting more and more. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series in the future.
Vantage Point is the fourth book in Amy McKinley’s Gray Ghost series. The series follows a team of people, many with military experience, who undertake security missions and similar risky tasks. Pretty much everyone on the team has a tragic backstory which motivates them to work to protect others who are in danger.
In this book, the focus is on Hawk – a member of the team we’ve already encountered in previous books. He’s concerned about his neighbour Stella, having overheard arguments from her apartment. Although initially reluctant to take up his offer for help, Stella turns to Hawk when she realises the mess she’s in is much bigger than she anticipated.
The present-day story is interspersed with flashbacks to Hawk’s childhood. We learn about the abuse and neglect he suffered and overcame. We also see how this childhood trauma factors into his drive to protect others, including Stella, from similar dangers.
It’s an action-packed, suspenseful story. The other members of the Gray Ghost team play a part, and it’s nice to see familiar characters popping up as Hawk is developed further. I really like this approach to having a series that focuses on different members of the team in different books.
For me, this is a five star read. It’s a great series and I would thoroughly recommend reading it if you like action, romance and suspense.
Let me level with you. Hawk? Dope as all get out. He’s the quiet one and they are the ones you ALWAYS need to look out for. Doubly so in Hawk’s case. Also, since he’s got an awesome name, it was almost impossible for him to not be everything I had hoped for in a main character.
Stella is pretty cool but I’ve think she could benefit from hearing the full idiom “Blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” I get that she feels she needs to help her brother, but come one. That dude is bad news anyway you slice it. I also find him to be pretty rude but I would bet a considerable amount of money that it was deliberate. Family is family but if they get you in trouble to further themselves, cut them out like any manner of unsavory growths.
Lastly, so as not to gush over spoilers, who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt?!
This entire series is really good and you may be a little lost if you try to read them out of order. The back stories are very important. That being said, I love Vantage Point the most and want to tell everyone to read this first even though I am a huge proponent of reading book and watching movies, shows, ect. in order.
Vantage Point is the fourth book in the Gray Ghost series. It can be read as a standalone. If you want to find out more about the other characters in the book, read the previous stories, especially the prequel. It will give Vantage Point a little more depth for you regarding the bond between them.
This story moves along at a good pace and keeps you engaged. Stella has a lot more patience than I would with what she has to deal with. A lot of people create their own chaos, but Stella has to deal with the fallout from the bad decisions of her brother. We finally get to learn more about Hawk and his life experience in this story as he tries to keep Stella safe. When his past comes into the spotlight, will Stella feel differently about him?
Danger. Romance. A treasure hunt…great adventure!
The Vantage Point by Amy McKinley is the next in the Gray Ghost Novel Series and is no less flipping fantastic than the other 3 books in this series. In this book you have Hawk Ares who is the epitome of the dark, brooding and silent type and then there is Stella Klein who is Hawk’s neighbor who will do anything (I mean ANYTHING) for her family. Stella tries to help her brother out of a very sticky and dangerous situation putting herself in danger right along with her brother. Hawk has always silently watched and wanted Stella but once she puts herself on the radar of a local loan shark Hawk can no longer watch from the side lines. The build of these two’s relationship is awesome right along with the story that the author weaves. What happens when both of their words collide? Will Stella listen or back down when Hawk tries to help her? Will Hawk thaw his stance on his no relationship rule? I am in love with this author’s way of telling a story and I felt a genuine connection with these characters.
Vantage Point (Gray Ghost #4)
By Amy McKinley
5 stars
I think this is probably one of the best series that I have read in a long time and I was super excited to read the next book in it – Vantage Point and as expected I was NOT disappointed at all!! It was an amazing 5 star read that I loved every single minute of. I loved Hawk and Stella’s story, like the others in the series I quickly fell in love with them and desperately wanted the best for them. I loved the suspense running through the story it kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion. The two characters definitely had this spark between them that was undeniable! I love that Ms McKinley’s characters always have a past that comes back to haunt them because I get to see them overcome whatever it is and Hawk’s was one I wasn’t expecting!
Although this book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone I would absolutely recommend reading them in order! I will certainly be looking forward to more from this author again in the future!
Vantage Point (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 4) by Amy McKinley
5-stars
Vantage Point is Hawk and Stella’s story. The two make quite a pair and really brought out each others strengths and weaknesses. As always, this novel is full of action and romance. I could not put this book down. It can be read as a standalone from the series but I recommend the other books as well. The author does an amazing job describing her characters. My heart ached for Stella in this novel as she fled from the men attempting to take her because of the choices her brother Max had made. To me he seemed very selfish and I hated how she kept giving him another chance. In all this book made for a wonderful and exciting read.
Vantage Point (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 4) by Amy McKinley
Five Stars
Nothing says trust me like a guy that some what staked you through a rifle scope lol. This story was funny and a little weird. Hawk was what made it weird and the beginning was funny. I liked the characters and how the author setup the dynamics between Hawk and his team. Stella was okay I didn’t agree with how she kept enabling her brother. Family is everything but at some point you have to step back and say enough. The story was suspenseful and entertaining and the series so far has kept my attention. The author has a really great writing style and this story complements that.
Amy McKinley has done it again! I am loving the Gray Ghost series, and Vantage Point, book 4, is my new personal favorite. Hawk has always interested me, because he just seemed to have a good back story. He is quiet and mysterious, and I am glad the series featured his story. While at first I thought it was a little creeper that he was spying on his neighbor, it was sweet too. He had a reason, a gut feeling, and his acting on it may have saved her life, and brought them both happiness. This story is a romantic suspense, and has plenty of each. There is danger waiting around every corner for Hawk and Stella. I enjoyed the fact that Stella is a strong character, like all the women in the Gray Ghost series. She has been through a lot, and is tough, and has amazing family bonds. Highly recommend the book to other readers, and the whole series. And Amy McKinley, if you’re reading this, please keep going with the series! Amazon reads it as book 4 of 4, but I’m holding on to hope that it is false!
Vantage point ( Gray Ghost #4) By Amy Mckinley. This is the 4th installment in the Gray Ghost series and its one of my favorites. This is the story of Hawk Ares one of the most low key members of the Gray Ghost and is always low key with love until takes up for his neighbor Stella Klein. Stella is on a mission with her brother to find a family treasure and family is key to Stella. She will do whatever it takes for her family. When Stella is threatened from outside sources due to her brothers gambling debt Hawk is determined to keep her safe. Stella resists his help at first but as things get more heated she breaks down and asks him for help. Will Hawk keep Stella safe and will he let his guard down enough to have a relationship with her? These books are so full of mystery, drama and a little romance!
Vantage Point by Amy McKinley is the fourth book in the Gray Ghost series. Like the others in this series I had a hard time putting it down.
I have a thing for the strong alphas and Hawk definitely fits that description. He has a strong protective instinct especially when it comes to Stella. It was so strong it kicked in before he knew her name and the trouble she has coming her way.
I think my favorite thing about this series is the relationship the men have with one another. There is always such a spotlight on women and their friendships but not too often do you get a glimpse of how deep that runs with men too.
I love this series and looking forward to the next one.
Vantage Point is the 4th book in the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. There is also a prequel to this series ‘Moments That Define Us’ that is most definitely worth reading if you are going to read this series, as it really does provide an insight into the lives of the Gray Ghost team as teenagers and why they have the close bond that they do. Each of the books in this series can be read as a stand-alone but as this is such a great series, I would recommend reading the whole series and also reading it in order as you do get an insight into characters from the other books.
In Vantage Point we get the story of Hawk Ares. Hawk is the quietest member of the team. As a sniper he is usually found on roofs scoping out situations. When he overhears alarming arguments between his sexy new neighbour, (who he has nicknamed Red due to the colour of her hair) and a man he knows she’s in danger and needs the help of the Gray Ghost team.
Hot headed red head, Stella Klein discovers that her life is in danger when her brother gets in over his head with gambling debts. Having turned down hot neighbour Hawk’s offer of help several times, she gives in and asks for help.
Little did Hawk and the rest of the Gray Ghost team realise that those who are after Stella are a blast from their past who are out for revenge.
Like the previous books in this series this is a romantic thriller. This book had me gripped from the very beginning right to the end. Amy McKinley has an amazing way of dragging you into the story and becoming really invested in the characters. This book, like the rest of the series is a must read in my opinion. As the Gray Ghost group is more than just the 4 members we have had books from so far, I’m hoping that there is still much more to come from this fantastic series.
A great read about trust. Hawk is the strong and silent member of the Grey Ghosts group. Remaining at home after a mission, he begins to be concerned when a neighbour keeps having arguments with her brother. Suspicious, he keeps watch as trouble brews and events unravel. When Stella’s life is put in danger, Hawk spurs into action. Can Hawk protect Stella from harms way before its too late?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Hawk strong and silent but caring underneath or Stella standing up for herself but still vulnerable underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the troubled brother or the supportive Chris.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the soft colours like the blue and reds or the gentle greys and tans of Hawks apartment as a soft comfort against the fast paced action of the novel. Or the small detail in her grandmothers jewellery box and locket as something priceless and a treasure beautifully written.
The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of evenst and was easy to follow with names in the chapters. The reminiscences into Hawk’s past worked brilliantly to portray another side to Hawks character and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. I also liked the change of setting from the jungle of the last novel to to the city of California. I also liked the mix of the CIA and a sense of a treasure quest which combined for a great read. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.
Vantage Point by Amy McKinley is book for in the series A Gray Ghost Novel. This book is full of action, suspense, and some romance. Hawk Ares is part of the Gray Ghost team. He values his teammates and sees them as family. Despite this he keeps to himself and is seen as the quiet member. His neighbor, Stella Klein, arouses his attention when she is dealing with some family drama with her brother. Because of her alliance and dedication to her family she gets dragged into a dangerous situation because of her brother.
I have enjoyed other books in this series and as well enjoyed this one. It has a little bit of everything and the suspense keeps me turning pages. I really liked learning more about Hawk and being introduced to Stella. I wanted to see everything work out for Stella and Hawk was in the right place at the right time. I look forward to reading more in this series and like that each book focuses on a different team member.
What an explosive read it literally has abit of everything romance, action, suspense and so much more i was on the edge of my seat throughout. I love nothing more then reading a novel where i can get completely lost amongst the page’s it’s the perfect way to relax! I was excited to read this novel and i certainly wasn’t disappointed if anything i can’t wait to read more from this author.
Vantage Point (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 4) By Amy McKinley. Once again I’m blown away by this author and this series. If it’s got some romance, suspense and action count me it, and again this book didn’t disappoint. From page one I knew I was in for a adventure with Hawk and Stella, they completely drew me into their story. The chemistry between the characters jumps off the page. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that comes alive before your eyes and you forget your reading. It’s well written and paced nicely. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.
Vantage Point, book 4 in the Gray Ghost Novel series, by Amy McKinley, follows my favorite character, Hawk. When it comes it missions, he is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get job done but when it comes to his love life, he always plays on the safe side of things. Stella, his neighbor is being thrown into world of searching for her families’ treasure. One night, Hawk hears a fight with Stella and instantly he is worried for her safety. Hawk, knowing he can keep her safe, does what he needs to do. Lies, enemies, and secrets follow these two, but will these two find a happy ending?
I grow to love each Gray Ghost novel but Hawk, there is something about him. I could close my eyes while reading and picture him on his job, I could picture him caring for Stella. I love Amy McKinley’s attention to detail and a way that the story just drags me in and doesn’t let me go. Another great read in an amazing series! FIVE STARS!!
