Vanishing Day is the fourth novel in the Logan McKenna series by Valerie Davisson. This is my fourth novel by this author.
Logan befriends her new neighbor and her daughter.
I don’t want to give anything away but I highly suggest this novel. It was just as engaging as the previous novels with a plot that keeps you hooked and characters that make you not want to put down.
This felt like the perfect time of the year to read this type of mystery.
I hope there is another book soon. I don’t know if I will ever be ready to say goodbye to Logan McKenna.
I was really hopeful for this book. I was intrigued by the idea of the storyline. Sadly the story was stiff and unforgiving. The natural flow seemed lost and I struggled to stay involved in the characters or the story. The ending is expected, I would have loved more to bring me to care about the characters.
It is nice seeing Logan and Ben’s relationship progress. Also the update on her daughter and Liam.
This is the fourth book in the Logan McKenna series – and a serious page turner at that! Logan gets a new neighbor, Lori, with her 3-year-old daughter. But soon, things become increasingly dangerous. Lori is hiding out from her abusive husband, but when he shows up, things take a turn for the worst. Lori ends up in the hospital and the only one that holds the key to what happened is her daughter. Logan gets thrown into the mix when the husband finds out she may have some information that he does not want her to have. This was a hard one to put down as there were so many twists and turns you just had to keep reading to see what would happen next!

Vanishing Day is the fourth book in The Logan McKenna Series by Valerie Davisson. This is a mystery series- with tension, drama, danger, intrigue, and suspense.
Logan McKenna has been through a lot over the course of the series- but this book plunges her back into peril- with her facing yet more danger as she tries to help her new neighbour and her young daughter.
This series does seem to get better with each new addition. Although I did have a few issues with this story- they didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of the story.
Thank you, Valerie Davisson!
This is the fourth book in this series. I have read all the books in this series and they just keep getting better and better. They bring action, suspense and mystery to a new level. This is a well developed story that has characters that bring the story alive. I was pulled into this story right from the beginning and was kept engaged to the end. It is a fast paced story that has twists and turns that kept me turning pages. The characters are connectable and supportive of each other. Logan is back in another investigation. This time she finds that her friend isn’t who she says she is. As her new neighbor clings to life in the hospital, Logan is trying to draw out the killer. The deeper she digs and the deeper she gets and she just may not find her way back out. You don’t want to miss Logan in another suspenseful investigation looking for a killer. Logan is one of my favorite characters. She is strong, determined and nothing gets in her way of finding what she wants. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to get to know Logan more. This is an entertaining story that I highly recommend.
VANISHING DAY (A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 4)
By Valerie Davisson
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book VANISHING DAY (A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 4) by Valerie Davisson. It is a story that once I started, I was hooked. It is a book that includes mystery, suspense, and danger. The more stories that I read in this series, the more I grow to love the character of Logan. She is a woman who is intelligent, strong-willed, and once she is faced with a mystery is determined to find out the truth. This book has Logan’s neighbor attacked with her three-year-old daughter the only witness. Logan may hold a clue to that attack. Is the attacker going to now come after Logan? Logan’s neighbor is in the ICU. Will she recover? Read this book to find out what happens. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The author writes with such detail that I feel like I am right there with the characters. Some of the additional characters in this book have been brought forward from the first three stories. Logan has a wonderful group of friends who care about her. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend reading it.
I loved the way Davisson wrote this book which clings to your heart as we meet Lori, single mom of a young daughter. The vivid details of her attack, what’s going on as to why she’s hiding her truth will grip your heart. I loved the story, the environment and of course the detective work from Logan who will always prevail in her sights of justice.
Valerie did it again. The Logan McKenna series has had my interest since the first book, and this one was no different. Honestly I didn’t know if I would be able to make it through this one, as it hit a little close to home plate for me in parts, but I couldn’t put it away. Great book, I’m ready for the next one!
Vanishing Day is the fourth book in the Logan McKenna Series and it is just as wonderful as the first three. Valerie Davisson is a wonderful mystery/thriller author that I have read in a long time. She talks about a very touchy subject in this novel that some can relate to. While this novel is a work of fiction, it does have some elements of nonfiction mixed in. Mainly in the topic of choice she writes about in this novel. Valerie Davisson is talented and a wonderful creator of mysteries. I would recommend this novel and this series to anyone.
