Praise for Vanishing Act
“Thomas Perry keeps pulling fresh ideas and original characters out of thin air. The strong-willed heroine he introduces in Vanishing Act rates as one of his most singular creations.”—The New York Times Book Review

Jane Whitfield is a great character. Very unique, love the detail and references back to her Seneca Indian history. I have read them all to date, waiting for the next Jane Whitfield release.

First “Jane Whitefield” book. A great book in a great series from Thomas Perry.
Very original and entertaining story. Well written.
Jane is one of the best characters ever created. Thomas Perry is an awesome author.
I listened to this book via Audible and really enjoyed both the story and the narrator.
thomas perry. jane whitfield. good times.
This book–and the whole series–is the most exciting fiction I’ve read. I think my heart rate increases as I read it. I like Jane’s character, and all she has her people do to escape from, and stay hidden from, whatever threatens them.
I like Thomas Perry. First discovered him with Let Sleeping Dogs Lie. This is the first of a series featuring Jane Whitefield, a Seneca woman who basically does a private relocation service. She hides people under new identities. Of course, we get to see the ops that go wrong.
Very good start to a superb series. The writing is nice and crisp, …
Jane is believably tough, unlike the comic book dead shot, kick-a-Seal’s-ass females so many authors write. The story is believable, and I like the touch of upstate NY.
Another great book my Thomas Perry. My only criticism? I wish it was longer.
C0uldnt put it down!
I love the character of Jane. I also like the history of Native American tribes that Perry provides.
I loved this book, the whole idea of changing your identity was fascinating and the book was intriguing.
Typical Thomas Perry well written novel.
