A sweet “insta-attraction” story with a little action and suspense
Vanessa’s Valentine’s Day takes a turn toward danger when Seth drops into her life. But Seth has supernatural help, if that will help him with Vanessa is another matter. Even though their chemistry is red hot Vanessa and Seth keep their hands if not their minds to themselves, mostly. But this quote from the story describes this tale so well “It took me an hour to know you and only a day to fall in love—but it will take me a lifetime to be able to forget you”. Yes, there is action and suspense and ghosts, but this is overall a heartwarming falling in love story. And a delightful afternoon read.
Romancing the Spirit Series:
Sadie’s Spirit #1 – If you loved that movie with Reese and Mark, you will enjoy this story. A spirit set with a sense of humor and a regret for throwing away the love of her life because she thought he was tetched in the head. Well, after what happened to her, she learned a few things. Good storylines and good characters made this quickly read book hard to put down. While a murder occurred, the story has a lot of humor and hope. The author has talent for storytelling. 4*
Willow’s Windfall #2 – A delightful, too soon ending, romantic story with a bit of intrigue, danger and discovery. Two wonderful characters, several baddies and a 300-year-old pirate, along with the true meaning of treasure, make this fun read hard to put down. Sappy, but I love it! 5*
Cassie’s Chase #3 – A darker story, especially following Willow’s but with light parts. Good storylines, both sad and happy, with a wonderful surprise near the end. Good characters and a well done sweet romance. 4*
Phoebe’s Pharoah #4 – This is an OK story but I did not care for it. Good characters but I found some of the happenings false. I’m not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Vanessa’s Valentine #5 – Shame this story is set in Texas since it is obvious the author is unfamiliar with Texas. Some of the dialogue is off and cleaning the car so quickly of blood; must have been specks. I did not care for this story. The writing style is a bit choppy, not smooth and I’m not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Autumn’s Angel #6 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. Plenty of humor that fits well with the storylines. Good characters and dialog that keeps the reader interested. I like Joy and the way she was done. Devlin is also well done. A quickly read and entertaining read. 4*
Allison’s Alibi #8 – This is a fun series to read. Yes, there murders and suspicions and investigations but there’s humor and romance. Cash is great in his role and Alison’s father is perfect in his role. The storylines are interesting and I did not put the book down until the last page. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Gracelynn’s Genie #9 – I love this story! I have read three others of this series, but this is my favorite, so far. All three characters are fun to be with and Constance is my favorite. Her sense of humor and caring heart just endear her to the reader. This is a quickly read but entertaining, interesting novella. The storylines, the characters and the dialogues are just easy to get lost in and too soon the story ends. Finishing the story leaves the reader in a feel good, happy state. I found this book on Booksprout. 5*

Great addition to the Paranormal Romance genre!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.

I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. A sassy rural doctor. And injured undercover DEA agent ( or is he??). A murderous drug lord. A dog named Crick. A ghost and butterflies? This is a sweet read with lots of emotion. Sorrow and loss, hatred and love, hope and new beginnings This story flowed with enough action that you want to keep reading to the end.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This was an adventure Seth took undercover and how he came into Vanessa’s life. A life of spirits and how they appear in your life to help you cope with problems you encounter. A standalone read but I am hooked cannot wait to read the next in the series and to get the others to see how they turn out.
This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by CB Samet; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Book five in the Romancing the Spirit Series a well written story that held my interest throughout. This is rural physician, Vanessa Watson and undercover DEA agent Seth Dellosa’s story which I enjoyed reading. Both Seth and Vanessa have a spirit guiding them and keeping them safe. Vanessa is an unusual doctor, committed to a rural physician program that helps to forgive part of her med school loan debt. She is at the local clinic Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. House calls Wednesdays and Fridays.
Seth is an agent with the DEA. He has been undercover. His partner was caught and tortured to reveal their involvement. Now Seth is on the run.
Their first meeting involves gunfire- likely not the last exchange of gunfire. There is a connection to the deceased close friends and family, and efforts at protection.
An intense and action filled romance with extraordinary elements.
