Drax. Colt. Finn.
The three vampire bad boys that have been terrorizing the night life of this city since they were old enough to know what a party was. On top of being insanely rich and handsomely supernatural there’s one more thing that makes them untouchable- they’re next in line to rule this city.
For the last hundred years humans have been at the bottom of the food chain since the rise of … since the rise of supernaturals, and in our city vampires rule the roost.
Divided into three different triads, each section of the city has a vampire governor who is fit to do as he pleases.
Drax, Colt, and Finn are next in line for those thrones.
To keep their subjects in line every five years they do a purge where every adult man is fair game for any vampire to feed on for twenty-four hours. To determine which triads need to participate in the purge and which one will be exempt, three people from each triad are summoned to partake in a sick and twisted game to survive. The winner gets to guarantee safety for their community.
The losers die.
For years I had kept my head down, followed every triad law, and focused on keeping my mother alive. But an announcement that women will now be included in the summoning turns my world upside down.
The first person to be summoned from triad three is me.
I came into this prepared to fight for my life, but what I didn’t expect was the city’s supernatural playboys’ attraction to me.
In the Vampire Trials only one thing matters to me- getting home to my mom. And when I say I’d do anything to get there, I mean it.
But piece by piece the trials chip away at who I thought I was and what I thought I knew about supernaturals.
The worst part? I love it.

Oh My Gah!?!
It can’t end like that!?! What a way to kick off a series! Intense, Drama, Action, Romance (quickies), and some major kick azz heroine! Love it!!! On to the next! #HappyReading
It’s really good and whoever like more then one partner you should read eat
3.5 rounded up
This is hunger games with vampires, adult themes and far too much/fast action. Everything is crammed together and the plot lurches forward at a break neck speed. It’s not bad, by any means, in fact, it’s quite interesting – but it’s too quick.
The relationships, all four of them, develop with no build, the secrets are revealed with little pomp and the methods are thrust into the spotlight with no flair. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good idea, it just should have been stretched out a bit more for details sake and character connection.
At this point, I feel nothing for any of them. I was told a story, but I didn’t feel like I was part of it.

Scarlett Johnson and her mother live in New York City. It is ran by vampires who care nothing for the humans. It is divided into three triads, and each is ran by a Governor. The three Princes are about to become the new Governors and Scarlett is the first woman EVER to participate in the Summoning as well. Her mother is dying of cancer and Scarlett, now Scar, has to try to stop the senseless games and the slaughter that occurs after! Only now, the rules have changed drastically and the Princes are on her side. It is similar to the Hunger Games but with a different twist! Can they make it out alive? Will one of them die? Can they beat them at their own games? Scar has four protectors, and now must face the possibility that not all of them will make it out alive! Who and what help will they get along the way? WOW! This story is so original. It has a uniqueness that draws you in and doesn’t let go. The only thing I would have liked to see was a bit more editing. There was some places that were missed. It wasn’t very many and it wasn’t enough to distract but you can still see them. That being said the story has fantastic characters and it is full of action, drama, and suspense. Yes, it does end in a cliffhanger but boy is it still good. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
This story has potential but it was a bit rushed. English not being my first language i could easily find grammar errors and it distracted me a little. I love a good fast burn RH and insta-loved stories but this was a too rushed, the sex scenes were done quickly, like wham bam thank you mam, no real foreplay. The vampire males characters, Colt, Finn and Drax are not your typical badass, alpha or a$$ like we usualle read about. They are damaged males with no real guts. Maybe it will change in later on in the series.
I liked the Hunger Games/ The Purge vibes of the story and it had plenty of action. Like i said this story has potential for a first read from this author. Great ending with that cliffhanger makes me wants to grab the next book to see what will happen next.
P.S. Gorgeous cover!! I’m addicted to book covers it’s my kryptonite.
