He’s accused of a crime he didn’t commit and she’s determined to get him off… in more ways than one.The vamp life sure as hell ain’t the glam life. Just ask Alena Falkov. One day she’ll be a full-fledged attorney, but for now, she’s stuck working her fangs off at a thankless job while she attends Othercross University’s esteemed law school.Of course she might not have the job for long if she … for long if she can’t be on time, but when a vampire catches the scent of her Beloved—her one true soul mate—in the hallways of the courthouse, no one could blame her for tracking him down. Now if only he wasn’t the defendant… and by all accounts, guilty. Or is he?

Truth will out
This book is so high intensity from the very beginning. The authors carried it through all of the way to the end, I actually felt bereft because I didn’t realize the end was that close. I fell in love with the characters, the drama was so intense I felt like I was in the courtroom, and then it was over. I hope this is more of a “to be continued “ type of ending and in the next book we will see what happens with all the characters I so quickly became invested in. I can’t wait to read the next book in this brand new series.
I loved this story. It was my first book by Celia Kyle & Marina Maddix. The story was unique and so intriguing. It pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I loved the mix of humor and drama throughout the story. Yes, it is a quick read but it is extremely well written. The characters are beautifully developed and their personalities are felt throughout the story. It is most definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Intriguing Storyline.
This is a fast-paced, entertaining read. It had wonderful characters and an intriguing storyline. It was a short read that packed a punch.
Enjoyable and entertaining read
This was a very enjoyable and entertaining read and a interesting spin on vampire mates. My only issued was that it was incredibly short. But also for such a short read it did pack a punch I just wanted more of Luca and Alena story. Overall a good read got straight to action add-in some steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series.
I don’t think it was seduction it was more like lust at first smell. The story was cut and I enjoyed it very much. I liked the way Alena got her friend to help. Really genius. Very good. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I enjoyed reading this book, the interaction and chemistry between the characters of is great, the storyline is entertaining and filled with action, great start to a new series. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Vampire court case.
This was a nice twist. Alena is a Falkov lawyer and her new client is Luca Ravenna (their clans are rivals).
I liked that this was set in a courtroom with vampires and werewolves.
Recommend.
Loved this funny and original read. Luca and Alena meet by chance while he is on trial and th story just gets better from there with loving in the courthouse and truth spells and more. I freely reviewed this book.
Welcome to Othercross
Once again these two talented authors have come together to bring us one wonderful story. It also happens to be the start of a new series. Know what that means? Yep…more hot stories to come!! While this seemed to be a little shorter than normal (I was able to devour it in one sitting), there’s a lot of “punch” packed into the pages.
*I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
I really loved Luca and Alena’s story. These two are fated mates, unfortunately Luca is on trial for committing a crime. Will Alena be able to help him get off? Will these two get their HEA?
This was a short but enjoyable read. It was well written with great characters and an interesting storyline. Alena and Luca were great together and had amazing chemistry. If you like paranormal romance you will enjoy this book.
I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
This is a short story that packs a punch. The authors do a fantastic job building the story and pulling you in with their descriptive writing and detailed scenes. The story moves quickly and smoothly and I loved reading and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Alena Falkov is a vampire but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t gave to work for a living. She is training to be an attorney. It looks like this latest case will be a turning point for her.
Luca Ravenna is on trial for a crime he didn’t comit. With the court stacked against him it looks like he’s heaed for a cell.
A very fast paced courtroom drama, with that bit of paranormal extra.
Good fun.
This is a quick fun read. It’s all about finding their beloved at the courthouse. They have to figure out who really did it so they can get on with their mating. Since it was a fast read I can’t say more without giving stuff away. The next book should be interesting if the sneak peak was anything to go by. I do hope it’s longer though.
I haven’t loved reading a vampire story more than Vampire Seduction! I don’t normally cheer for the fangs. I loved Alena! She is brilliant, takes charge, and knows she is forever (literally) doomed at her current position in life (undead?). Luca and his stream of Italian words bursting with hawt looks, along with his willingness to accept his punishment. This was a really short story for how much action, steam and plot was thrown into one courtroom case. I appreciate that it really couldn’t have been dragged out more into a longer story, but I sure hope to see more of Alena and Luca in later stories.
I couldn’t help but laugh at all the fun character banter, antics, and steamy quickie. Luca and Alena both got a big surprise during his trial. I loved the dialogue and the introduction to the characters living in Othercross. My only complaint was that the book was short and that is only because I enjoyed Luca and Alena so much. I still felt like I got a full story and wanted to see what else is happening in Othercross. These authors never disappoint and have the best collaborations. I definitely recommend checking out this new series.
This was a great start to this off shoot of Real Men series. Alena and Luca are hot! Once the story reaches the courtroom it sparks and flies. This book opens up all new possibilities for the Real Men world. There are now vampires and witches and more. I am excited to learn where it will go. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This was a very short read. I feel it would have been used as the beginning of a full length book, rather than as this short novella as I just felt there was a lack of…oomph.
There wasn’t a real ending, more of a see you later than a true cliffhanger. I just felt that there was a few bits missing. The characters themselves were engaging and I enjoyed the insta-mate storyline, along with the Romeo and Juliet-esque twist!
I really wanted more of the back story between the clans fleshed out and why all the conspiracy theories and nepotism, etc
More of a 3.5 star than 4
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
It was just another day at court for Alena.
Luca was facing life in prison.
He was set up.
Alena + Luca have their work cut out for them.
Will they be able to prove Luca’s innocence in time ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
A Romeo and Juliet romance. Lovers/nates from opposing families! The fact that these two (Luca and Alena( had to have sex first to prove they are mates and be believed made me roflmao- so hard! This is a short story packed with laughs, drama, heat, and intrigue, and I was captivated from word one to the last punctuation mark. I loved it.

I’ve been looking for a quick paranormal romance and I’m glad I chose to give this one a try. The story felt fresh, well paced and had me excited for the outcome of it all. Wish the downloaded “bonus scene” had been included in the book as after I read it, it felt like it served more as a proper ending having tied up most of what was left unanswered, but that’s just my opinion. Regardless, I did enjoy the read and look forward to more in this series and from these authors.
