You think it’s safe to walk alone at night. It’s not.
You think the only threat is other humans. It’s not.
Monsters are real. Demons are real. Vampires are real.
And I’m about to become one of them.
My name is Arianna Spero. I was an ordinary girl, living an ordinary life, until my mother lapsed into a coma. Now, I am her only hope. She made a deal with the devil, and on my 18th birthday he came to collect. But there’s a way to save her. There’s something the princes of hell want more than my mother.
Me.
So I signed my soul away and promised to pick a prince to marry. I would take the blood oath, become one of them, and give them an heir. I would become a princess of hell, and my mother would live.
I expected fire and brimstone. I expected pain and misery. I didn’t expect beauty. I didn’t expect magic.
I didn’t expect love.
But the princes are keeping secrets from me.
Secrets that could shatter everything.

“Karpov Kinrade’s words are magic, painting a picture in your mind that stays forever.” – Courtney Cole, New York Times bestselling author more
Ari is so relatable! I read this book in 3 hours! I couldn’t put it down! Perfect amount of suspense! Leaves you wanting more! Can’t wait until I read the next book. I absolutely fell in love with the characters. So many questions…. But that will have to wait till I read book 2, And soon to be released book 3 Silver Flame <3 <3 .
Ari's mother has fallen into a coma, and the only way to save her is for Ari to agree to marry one of seven brothers - vampires - in order to determine who will rule Hell.
Each brother has been cursed with one of the seven deadly sins, and she must spend a month with each brother in his realm of Hell before deciding whom to marry. First up - Fen, Prince of War. Fen had originally decided to pass on his month with Ari as he has been tasked with seeing to her safety, and has all ready spent some time watching her in Portland. But something happens and it changes his mind.
This is not your run of the mill Vampire story. There's Magic, Princes of Hell, Intrigue, mystery, romance, what more can you ask for. The writing and character development was so complex and vivid, making me feel apart of the story and the character's lives.
This is a GREAT book, If you want something different then what is out there now, READ this NOW!!!!
I am always enjoying books by Karpov Kinrade. Honestly, had I not known who wrote this book I would have never guessed. They ALWAYS have such a broad range in their writing and it is always so good!
I did not know what to expect reading this book. It kept me interested every page and the ending was not expected in the least. I am excited to read the next book(s) and see how this story plays out.
I enjoyed this book. I had trouble following it at times because there was so much going on at one time but it was still a great read. I cannot wait to read more stories in this series.
When I saw a post promoting this book on Facebook I had to check it out…upon viewing the trailer, I was hooked and I needed to know more. I was lucky enough to be home to watch TWO live feeds from the author(s) and I knew I had to buy the book. So I did. I was already reading two other books but I just had to put them aside (no offense at all to the other books which are shaping up to be quite good themselves,) because I was just TOO intrigued at the premise of this book. I was NOT disappointed. I began reading around 10 p.m. last night and even being an adult and having adult responsibilities to take care of and 3 kids at home, I’ve managed to finish by tonight! That is how GREAT this book is, it will keep you reading, keep you interested and keep you wanting to know more and more and more about this world! I was drawn in by the complexity of the characters, and the uniqueness of the story. It’s lovely to find a book with so many of the classic paranormal elements but is still so very truly it’s OWN book. You’ve got Princes who are Demons & Vampires, you’ve got folklore that spins in a different direction than any vampire book I’ve read. You’ve got a war between Fae and the Vampires and Shades and Humans getting caught in the crossfire. You’ve got a King’s plan that even after finishing you won’t understand. And at the end, you’ll just be DYING to get your hand on the next book (I’m assured from the live chats that we won’t have to wait long though!) I’m very excited about this book and very excited to have found a new author(s) to love and I’ve got to get my hands on more by Karpov Kinrade as soon as possible. To wrap this all up, if you like paranormal romance, vampire stories, stories of the Fae, or any mix of the aforementioned…you’re gonna want to read this book, like, now!!!
It is drama, angst, Mom’s in a coma, vampires, Fae, blackmail, life threatened, “seven realms, each ruled by one of the princes”, a mystery , family squabbles, war, people dead showing up alive, romance but who can our h trust. Of course it is not resolved and I look forward to reading book 2. Well written, easy to red. liked even the unlikable characters. Great plot and story line.
Absolutely loving this well written story!! Great characters and different kind of vampire tale!! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!!!
I admit I was intrigued only because I love everything vampire 🙂
But this book is so much more, and when I finished, I found out it was written by a husband and wife duo; that explains the wonderful complexity of the characters and the fantastical worlds of hell.
I mean come on, there is hell and you could not imagine what it could hold. I was hooked when fairies were involved and intrigued with the first encounter with the sexy vampire.
Loved this one! The twists were unexpected and I’m still thinking about these characters days later!
Imperfect brothers and Lucifer at his scheming best. Love and war and realms reflecting all the sins. Sexy yes, but more a king maker story. Better than I had expected. I really liked it.
Loved this book…. the start of the whole series, each book gets better and better!!!
Very addicting I’ve read up to book 4 and trying to read book 5 now! Amazing book !!!! Can’t put it down!!!! Love this series!!!!! 5 stars and then some
I enjoyed this book, it was a different take on vampire & Faye than I’ve read before. It had an unusual flair to it that pulled me in & held my attention enough to keep me up late to finish the book. There were a few things I didn’t appreciate in the story, but hoped that it was just a part of some dramatics to get the reader’s attention, sort of a shock factor. Overall, I think it holds lots of promise as a series. The flow was a bit choppy, there were a few places that seemed to skip, like part of the chapter was skimmed as outline, that really needed more fleshing out. There was a few chapters that started out confusing cause I wasn’t sure whose point of view I was reading until I got a few paragraphs in. I definitely liked Fen right from the moment he’s introduced, but Ari/Ariana, I couldn’t quite grasp why she was so well liked by everyone, since I wasn’t that excited over her personally. I thought there seemed to be some small character growth for Ari & Fen, hoping to see more in book 2. I went & bought book 2 & 3, since I enjoyed book 1 so much, I just hope I don’t regret that.
This book was actually much better than I expected, and would have gotten four stars, but it ended very abruptly, on a cliff hanger, and that’s something I hate. I believe even series books should be capable of standing alone, that major threads should be tied up, and the book should wind down to an actual conclusion.
At the start of Vampire Girl, Arianna’s mother falls into an unexplained coma and is quickly heading toward death. Arianna is confronted by a gorgeous stranger (two, actually) who explain that her mother sold her soul to the devil (for some currently unknown reason) and this coma and death are the bill coming due. However (of course) Arianna can save her mother by taking her mother’s place and going to hell with them, to marry one of the seven princes and become Queen. In addition to saving her mother, this will also save their world. (For reasons we don’t fnd out in this book, Arianna is the “chosen one”.)
he story branches out in that there are seven possible husbands, each one representing one of the seven deadly sins, and each one living in a different land of hell. There are wars, and treachery, kidnapping, and hostile fae. It quickly became a very run read, but as I said, it came to a sudden stop, which aggravated me enough that I don’t know if I’ll continue the series.
The book has good and evil , love and loathing, beauty and ugliness coming from some unexpected places. There is mystery and secrets too. Onto the next book.
I enjoyed this one very much. Page turner for sure. You really root for the heroine, and want to smash some characters. I really mean “smash”
It just ended to soon for me.
This book is so interesting and fun to listen to! Ari is such a strong character and can take whatever hits come her way. I absolutely loved the direction this book took and it has me dying to dive into the next one.
I was pulled right into this story. Great characters ! Intense, action packed, different type of vampire story. I read it in a night so I definitely recommend it!! On to book 2…….
Loved the entire series!!
Arianna is a young woman with an ordinary job and interesting friends who is just fighting to get by. Until one night when everything changes. Her mother is in a coma, and Arianna is forced to make choices she never imagined in her entire life. Now, it’s a matter of survival within a situation she has little or no choice over. But the problem is, that’s exactly what she needs to do – make a choice. And the seven vampires she must choose from could be the death of her.
The main character doesn’t start out as a strong woman, but it was exciting and enjoyable to watch her make decisions about her own life within the situation. She becomes stronger throughout the story because she decides not to let her circumstances become the be-all-end-all. She’s young, so she learning to stand on her own two feet in a place where she receives little to no respect on most occasions. I don’t know where the authors will take us next, but I’m interested in finding out what is so special about this particular woman that these male characters would fight over her or plot to have her killed. It’s an interesting and exciting start. I’ve owned this book for a couple of years, and I’m glad I finally decided to read it. Now, I’m looking forward to the next one.
I found excerpts of this book by pure accident in a story game app and had to see more, and once found I read the entire thing in one night. Captivating from start to finish, this story takes you on a spine tingling emotional journey that pivots you from love, excitement, fear, sadness, and fierce determination in every chapter. The depth of emotion in this book leaves you breathless and begging for more. “Vampire Girl”, by Karpov Kinrade is the tale that SHOULD have been on the big screen and is what the twilight saga only wished it could be.
