A fun adventurous read
This was such a fun journey – I can not wait to see where Nicholas takes us from here
I enjoyed the different view we are presented of the vampire vs the Nosferatu – I felt it was really a unique twist to the lore
A lot of breadcrumb trails and twists blended with hi-jinx and romance that are guaranteed to engage and entertain
Mutt is such a “creative” male lead – all that strength – And yet he at times he seems s so naive and unsure of himself- I was a bit shocked at how much I enjoyed his not so perfect character
And Maggie makes a divine heroine – she is tough and intelligent – definitely the brains of this operation, yet she still comes across as soft and feminine with a hint to her youth and innocence
I did not realize I was coming in mid-series – I was still able to keep up with what was going on but had I known I would have had fewer questions – live and learn
I have to go back and read the first three books
I LOVE Annie’s vampires!
Specifically the Nosferatu variation she created. Take it from an old, jaded PNR-loving book blogger; Annie’s vamps are funny, sexy and one-of-a-kind!
I was pleasantly surprised to learn this book was coming out. I had read and loved the first three in the series (you probably should as well before you read this one, though I don’t know that it’s 100% necessary…but I highly recommend it to not feel like you’re “missing stuff.”)
As usual, I was sucked in from word one and riveted right until the end, even having a few chuckles along the way. If you’re looking for a non-cliche paranormal romance author, Annie’s the one for you!
(I read this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I had not read Annie Nicholas before this book. That needs to be fixed after reading Vampire Fugitive. I absolutely loved this book. I loved the characters, and the paranormal world that was built. Obviously I had not read any of the previous books before this one. I definitely felt like I was missing some things but it didn’t take away from the main characters stories much.
Maggie is a strong female character that gets constantly underestimated. She puts off a shy and need to protect vibe but hand her a load of crap and she takes out the trash.
Mutt, what a crazy name, is a learn as he goes, take a hands on approach kind of guy. Maggie has a lot to teach him.
I really enjoyed reading this book and finding a new author. I cannot wait to read the first few books in this series and read what happens next!
**Claps 3 times** I was so happy when this came across as an ARC for me to read! I absolutely LOVE this series. You will find Vampires, Shifters, Humans, and Nosferatu in this page-turning story. Maggie and Mutt are an amazing pairing. I can not wait for the next in the series to come out. It’s been TOO LONG! If you haven’t started this series you should start today!
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
Great book and it was hard to put it down.
I have read previous books by this author but not in this series and I really need to grab the others. This story was amazing. If you like Vamps and Werewolves go ahead and grab this you won’t be disappointed. I don’t know if it’s a stand alone but it read fine to me and I haven’t read the previous ones.
We have Maggie a princess who has 2 dads and mom who are anything but normal. She is now on the run and has landed in her moms old stumping grounds.
Mutt is the Overlord of New York say what? Yea read about him he is hilarious but has a sexy sweet side to him too. And now he is stuck with the job of protecting Maggie. Can he do it?
