Vampire royals strategise at 2 a.m.Last week, I inherited every cent of the multi-billion-dollar Le Spyre estate. But tequila is far easier to swallow than the coincidence of my beloved grandmother’s death.I’m over this supernatural game, yet walking away from Kyros isn’t simple with the damn mate thing on the cards. The Indebted need my help. My grandmother deserves justice. And, uhm, the third … grandmother deserves justice. And, uhm, the third blood exchange did something to me.
It’s official. I’m done playing by paranormal rules. I’m making my own–and playing to win. Because if I enter Ingenium on my terms, there’s no turning back.

I swear every single book I read by this author gets better and better. She has an unparalleled skill of sucking me into the story to the point of obsession.
I love how creative Kelly St. Clare is with her story ideas. The premise of this series is so entertaining and clever. I love the unique spin that she puts on vampires in the series as well. The plot really blew me away in this one. All the pieces fit together perfectly. The story was crafted brilliantly with ingenious plot twists that kept me wanting more. The world-building is very vibrant, pulling the reader into the story. St. Clare’s writing style is one that I really connect with. The story rhythm is always perfect and the narration is always a delight to read.
These characters will seriously enchant you. St. Clare’s character development is sensational. Her characters are so relatable and genuine. These characters will consume your brain. Basi is the perfect leading lady. She is brave, kind, selfless, opinionated, and she sticks up for herself. She also isn’t a special snowflake which only makes me like her more. Kyros’s character is one that was hard to map out at first but after the reader gets to know him it isn’t hard to see that he is loyal, kind, and protective. Not to mention smoking hot. Kyros cares about his family and that is the one thing about him that has always stuck out to me. This series also has an incredible cast of secondary characters. I love Kyros’s siblings so much. They bring so much depth to the story. I also love Tommy and the people in Basi’s life. All of the characters have a purpose and have their own personalities which makes this series so fun to read. All of the different characters bring a very interesting dynamic.
The romance really ticked up a notch in this book and I was so ready for it! To prevent spoilers of the first book I will be vague, but I will say that the emotional component of their relationship shines bright in this book. Kyros is still trying to prove himself to Basi and she isn’t making it easy for him. Basi does something in this book that really makes him angry and the book leaves off on that and Basi’s declaration that she’s a lone wolf. So these two still have a lot to work through but it is easy to see the depth of their hearts.
Overall, Kelly St. Clare is a master storyteller that knocks me off my feet each and every time. Vampire Debt was enthralling and entertaining. If you are a fan of paranormal romances that will devour your every waking moment then you need this series in your life. This book has an artfully crafted plot, characters that will win you over in a heartbeat, and a romance that sizzles like the sun. It basically ticks off all the boxes, folks. Grab this series today and thank me tomorrow.

I’m loving these twisted games so much!
Despite the betrayals, Basi is gaining more and more confidence. I adored her sharp intelligence, wittiness and the strength to stand up to everyone. And she does absolutely anything and risks everything, even her life, to save and protect the people closest to her heart.
Kyros continues to be quite possessive and determined to win at any cost, but I loved that he became more honest and open. It was fun reading his attempts to win Basi with gifts.
Their relationship evolves and deepens, both of them develop so much, and I absolutely loved the delicious steaminess and the tension.
I loved that we got to see more of Kyros’ siblings and their pranks and banters.
And that ending was so heartbreaking and devastating!
The story is fast-paced, action-packed and filled with suspense, drama, steam, secrets, humor, strong emotions and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it!
This was just a absolute thriller!! I absolutely loved this book. Kyros and Basil are just a basketful of problems and I just love them for it! I didn’t care much for Kyros originally but slowly the author has changed my mind. I’m loving the monopoly game and as the book progresses the game becomes a tight race for all parties. Looking forward to reading the next installment.
I listened to the audiobook and I thoroughly enjoyed the narrator. The variety of inflections she used were great and easy to follow. 5/5
Perfect balance of tension and humour.
What things should one do to reach his/her purpose? Brilliant plots, traps, deceptions, lust, a bit of romance all well stitched. Revenge being the core of this volume and a longing for more of Basi and Kyro’s story.
Loved this second book in the series and can’t wait to read book 3!
This was a great book. I love a twisted monopoly game. I think everything was moved a different way in this book. I am not sure how Basi is going to make it through this story. She has a back bone I am not sure if she knows what she is in for. She really has so much going on it was like whip lash trying to keep up. All in a good way. I can’t how the whole thing ended. I hope things turn around for her in the next book. Maybe we will have all the story panned out.
Semantics: This is the second book in The Vampire Towers Series. You Must read Blood Trial first and there is another book coming March 1st.
My-I love-love-love-this-series review!
I’ve always loved some Paranormal Romance and fantasy. Admittedly, this past year, that is what I’ve really been into. I have KF Breene’s reader group set to always ping when she posts and one day a few months ago Kelly St Clare posted about this book she was releasing called Blood Trial. I read it and loved it. So much so, that immediately after I finished the first book, I stalked to find out when book two would be released and then I read her Darkest Drae series and I downloaded and am waiting to read her Tainted Accords series.
Vampire Debt released this past Tuesday. What is it Friday? I don’t even know anymore. I’m in that crazy writer place where I’m finishing a novel and writing my butt off. Even now, I should have started already, but sometimes you just have to blog, yeah know? Maybe you don’t know WTF I’m talking about, but I’m sure you’ve read those books where you just need to tell people about it and it’s the first thing you want to do when you wake up.
Man oh man, the twists and turns this book has.
This book/series has all the snark. It starts with Basil and Tommy, her female BFF. And the world they live in is not like ours, not at all. There are these zones, which was pretty interesting. I felt like maybe it was an alternate reality to ours, but then there was tons of fun pop-culture thrown into it.
If you ever read my reviews, which I hope the F you do, then you know I don’t spend a lot of time going over the plot. First, because book reports are boring A/F and second because I think when I read a review I always want to know how it made the reader feel.
I felt like I never wanted it to end.
I have not had that feeling in some time. I could go back to book one and start all over again! Something about her characters and the way the entire story flowed just completely clicked with me. Oooh, Can you tell I’m excited? The steam is hot AF. Even when it’s just a little dirty talk, it’s good. That has to be because of the way she built these characters. The world-building is also amazing. The uniqueness of this series will completely draw you in. If you love paranormal like I do, then run, don’t walk. Hurry into this amazing series. You won’t be disappointed. The only thing you will be dreading is having to wait for the next one, but I’m right there with you tapping my fingers greedily in anticipation.
Vampire Debt: Supernatural Battle is Book 2 in the Vampire Towers series by Kelly St. Clare. This is a fast paced thrill ride from start to finish. It is well written and the characters are well developed and interesting. It is one of those books/series that draws you in emotionally and keeps you turning pages to the end which is a cliffhanger. Basi is coming into her own — her bada$$ness is coming to the front. When you think you know where the author is taking you, she gives you a twist that you never saw coming. I love the dynamics of this series. Can’t wait to see where and what Kelly has in store for Basi and Kyros. I highly recommend this book & series. However, reading Blood Trial (Book 1) first is a must. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This Was Even Better Than Book #1!!
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Vampire Debt: Supernatural Battle (Vampire Towers #2)
Wow, this book is high tension!
Basi heart is broken by the loss of the last of her family. Things get worse when she finds out that she’s been betrayed from the very start by those that surround her! The indebted become her defence force in a lot of ways.
Thankfully her Grandmother was a wise woman that had her fingers in multiple pies & her eyes wide open!! She’s left detailed information & instructions for Basi in the event of her death. It’s dangerous but she’s already trapped so she’ll do all she can to save as many innocent lives as possible, hopefully!
The extra blood bond they were forced into sharing, is wreaking havoc on both Basi & Kyros, they can now feel each other’s emotions!! Their mutual lust is almost impossible to ignore when they’re anywhere near each other. Then Kyros informs her they are true mates, their blood is still singing even after the thrall is over, he seems shocked, she’s furious!!
This book was a real rollercoaster of emotions. There was hurt, intense tension & terror but also fun, growing bonds & laughs! I’m excited to see what happens next!!

So much tension and action in this story. Strong Basi in more ways than one carries this story very far. Putting so much into revenge and torn between love she is not admitting. I love the story so far and want the next book now. Don’t miss this one guys it is too good not to read.
I’m at a loss for words! This book is absolutely wonderful and unexpected. The twist and turns in this book are insane!! I don’t even know how else to describe it except wow. I love the main characters and how their growing right before our eyes. I highly recommend this series!
Basi continues to amaze me. Her strength and insight are magnificent for a human who is out of her league. There is a resilience in her that keeps her pushing forward, trying to figure out a way she can come out of this situation alive and with her heart and psyche intact. She makes mistakes, but that’s the human in her. It all keeps us rooting for her. I love seeing how her mind works, how she convinces herself to take the workarounds, how brave she is in the face of a foe against which she cannot possibly win.
Kyros is stuck in a neverending loop of his ancestors’ making. The rules are clear, and the stakes are high. There is nothing he can do to buck the system, and he has fate along with hidden dangers working against him. Basi is a distraction he doesn’t need and wishes he didn’t want. But I believe there’s something more about her that he’s going to discover, and it could be a game-changer.
Every time I open one of this author’s books, I am surprised to see how fearless she is in her writing. She takes us on a path that seems so obvious though narrow with perhaps a few bumps along the way, makes us believe we have the whole picture of the scene ahead and know how the story will go, and then takes a fork that none of us even knew was there, one that isn’t pre-designed, one with branches that slap us across the face harder the further we travel with her. She smiles along the way, laughs a little as we follow her, and keeps on going. And in the end, covered in scratches and wounds to our hearts, we thank her for the journey. This is one such adventure, and we’re only in the second book. I cannot wait to see which direction she takes us for the final leg of the trip. Hopefully, we’ll escape the poison ivy and keep our hearts intact.
You know when you get so engrossed in a book you don’t realise there’s a cliffhanger coming up and you’re going to be dangling? Yeah. That! I’ve fallen in love with all the characters a bit more but equally want to slap two of them and tell them to. SORT. IT. OUT!!!
B is dealing with the death of her Grandma and finds out a secret that is a game changer for, well, the game. Basil has firmly entered as a player. She has also met Kyros’ family and I already love his Mum for having Kyros’ father under her thumb.
Another fab read and I really really really want. No NEED to read the next in the series.
So when I started reading this book I had so many mixed feelings about Kyros and Basil from book one that I wasn’t sure what to think. Now after finishing this book all I can say is WTH just happened?
I mean really come on? My emotions are all over the place. I want to hate them both and root for them both and shake them until their teeth rattle.
Ok enough about me and my emotions…. this book is so good. The storyline, characters and twists and turns will leave you breathless and turning page after page until you find out that book has ended and yet, you still have questions that need answered. Once you start reading it, you will not be able to stop.
Vampire Debt is Book 2 of the Vampire Towers series and best read after Blood Trial. This book was captivating from start to finish. Love the chemistry between Kyros and Basi, and really looking forward to Vampire Death. I haven’t read a vampire series since Twilight and Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles is still my all time favorite vampire series, that being said The Vampire Towers is a fantastic visit to of one of my all time favorite genres! Kelly St. Clare is on a roll with this series, I highly recommend.
Whew! As amazing as book 1 was, Vampire Debt was even better. I don’t even know what to write because the plot was so intense every little thing could be a possible spoiler. There were so many twists and turns, so many truths followed by lies, it was a force to be reckoned with. Engaging from the very first sentence, these characters grow so much as we learn what motivates each of them. With an ending that will have me anxiously awaiting book 3, The Supernatural Battle Series is the best series I’ve read in a while.
I didn’t think I could love this story more than I already do after reading book one. Boy was I so wrong! Kelly’s writing just sucks you in deeper and deeper until you’re feeling everything that Basi is feeling, and holy sh*!, what a crazy ride it is! My hands are still shaking from that ending!!
Noooo!! Kelly why you got to do us like that? That ending was so unexpected and now we have to wait for the third one!
This book was honestly amazing, and I loved it as much as I did the first one. When Kelly said she was releasing a Vampire book, I already knew it would be amazing and hot, and I am not even a fan of vampires, but Kelly did get me to fall in love with dragons, so I knew it wouldn’t be hard for her to get me to fall back in love with vampires too, which she definitely did, especially her vampires.
And the slow burn, which if anyone has read Kelly before, you can pretty much always expect one, but it is so well done. Sometimes I do want to smash their heads together until they want to kiss and make up and live happily ever after, but the other part of me is really loving this tension, and how we are watching them grow feelings, instead of it all happening way too fast like many other stories. There was humor, hotness, wittiness, and pretty much everything else that makes a book amazing.
I’m definitely happy that we got more of Kyros, and I will gladly take him from Basi if she doesn’t want him. He showed his more sincere side in this and I felt all of his emotions as Basila was, and after the shocker that happened, I forgave him easily because I knew he didn’t want to actually do it, and that he was caring for her more and more. I love his attitude and protectiveness towards her, and I also love how much he cares and loves his siblings too, even if they do annoy him all the time, but he always puts on a happy face for them.
Basila did have many a times of hard-headedness, but she is young, she’s had her life taken away, and now she needs to grow and become stronger without everyone monitoring her moves. She’s smart and witty, and I always enjoy seeing her come up with new plans. After that ending though, she is officially a Bad A in my book now.
I pretty much loved everything about this book, and it’s sad the conclusion is near, but after that ending, I am highly anticipating it. This book is a great way to start the year off with a bang, and finally my first 5 stars of 2020!
Well: wow.
I adore all of Kelly St. Clare’s books, but she is really excelling herself with this series.
Basilia is an utterly wonderful character, and her messy, impossible relationship with Kyros made me ache. I really want them to get their happy ending, but heaven only knows how that’s going to be possible.
Vampire Debt (part two of the series – don’t start here – if you haven’t read it yet, go get Blood Trial immediately) has so many unexpected twists and turns and the pace is entirely hectic. I feel like I hardly breathed during the second half! The finale was extraordinary, and then the ending was heartbreaking.
And Mrs Hannah’s story made me cry.
Loved every word and can’t wait for the next instalment.
*I was lucky enough to score an advanced copy. If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t be reviewing it. My words of praise are entirely my own and freely given!*
