This maybe the hottest book I’ve ever listened to!
I will read just about any kind of romance – from sweet to smut and everything in between – and I’ve read a lot of hot-as-fire books, but I don’t think I’ve ever listened to an audio book that was as hot as Up-Ending Tad. Michael Pauley was the perfect voice performer for this series.
I received a complimentary code for this audiobook from the author with the expectation that I would review it. What I didn’t expect was that as soon as I finished this first bundle, I immediately purchased the second without waiting to see if a complimentary copy was available – that’s how much I loved this story.
Please read the synopsis for the book shown above; it explains the story way better than I can. Up-Ending Tad is is classified as erotica on Amazon but it looks like they don’t have an erotic romance category under the LGBT section. While this story is very erotic in content, I also see the developing relationship between Tad and Scott as pretty romantic. This first bundle of books doesn’t exactly end on a cliffhanger – no huge event that leaves you dangling – but you will definitely want to read more about Tad and Scott’s journey.
Tad has always considered himself straight so he is perplexed and somewhat dismayed by his feelings for Scott. He got turned on so hard (pun not really intended ) during their first encounter and it really confused him. I think maybe Scott was a little surprised by his feelings for Tad as well.
The two of them begin to develop a friendship of sorts but neither can resist the sexual pull that exists between them. Tad stays away from Scott not sure how to handle the feelings he’s having. But then Scott seeks him out and he can’t say no to hanging out. That night turns into the hottest experience of Tad’s life when Scott’s roommate, a Dom named Max, invites them to watch a session he is having with one of his subs.
While I’ve started listening to the second bundle of stories, life intervened and I haven’t finished it yet. What I have listened to so far is every bit as hot as the first bundle and I can’t wait to finish listening to it.

Tad the loser of a high stake poker game, is given two choices a few broken bones or a flogging. He of course choices the flogging, a little pain he can handle, then go on with his life. However Tad finds that he not only enjoyed the flogging but discovers he enjoys being with Scott the part time Dom and personal trainer. Tad inevitably is on a journey of discovering his sexual orientation, his struggle, denial, but ultimately trying to find acceptance within himself.
Michael Pauley did a fantastic job narrating, you could feel the emotion and visualize every erotic scene.
Moving onto books 4,5 and 6, it’s not a need to know, it’s the satisfaction for Tads final acceptance.

The audiobook edition of Up-ending Tad, Bundle 1 by Kora Knight includes the first three stories of Up-ending Tad: A Journey of Erotic Discovery #1-3 and is read by Michael Pauley. If you enjoyed reading this series as I did, then you’ve got to give the audio version a try. If you’re prepared to have your mind blown, then by all means dive right in!
Hot, hot, smokin’ hot, and if I haven’t stressed it enough, this story is HOT. This is erotica of the finest quality; add in adorable way these two guys fall for each other, and Up-ending Tad is one of the most enjoyable series out there.
Kora Knight has these two characters down. Both guys are kinda macho, and when they get all nervous, “gosh, does he really like me?” my heart just melts. Scott’s seduction and Tad’s acquiesce work perfectly together, and I was rooting for them from the get-go.
One of my all time favorite narrators, I never doubted that Michael Pauley was going to rock this one. There’s a reason I call him a virtuoso of erotica, he adds more to a love scene than anyone else I know. Pauley has a keen ability to really understand the characters and where a story is going. He doesn’t over-act, just keeps it sexy and builds the tension sloooowly till it reaches the inevitable pinnacle we’re all waiting for.
There’s so much to love about the audiobook version of Up-ending Tad. This is pure down and dirty erotica, with the sweetest gay-for-you romance blended in. Whether you’re a fan of the books like I am, or discovering this series for the first time, the combination of Kora Knight’s beautiful writing and Michael Pauley’s gorgeous voice is going to give you hours of pleasure.

A favorite re read for me! Love everything about this series and Tad & Scott!
I was initially hesitant to read this series because the individual books are all so short. But I am so, so glad I did! I think of this as a 6-part book rather than six separate volumes. No individual volume feels at all complete (or even really self-contained) without the other 5, but together they make a wonderful, heartworming, kinky story.
The heat level is off-the-charts hot, with each “book” centering around an extended sex scene. I will also note that the sex scenes in this series are written in great detail and last for a huge number of pages. I personally loved the attention to detail, and the emotion that came along with the sex, but I could see how it might seem excessive to some readers.
Overall, the writing is great, the characters (including the side characters) are realistic and engaging, and I strongly recommend this for those who love kinky, sex-ridden stories!

This book bundle is awesome, it contains the 1st three stories of Tad’s journey of Erotic Discovery. I loved how Kora Knight takes the reader along side Tad, her descriptive writing and dialogue tells all the emotions he is feeling and thinking. His journey is not only of erotic discovery but one of his own sexuality. The 1st volume “Loser Takes All” brings him to the local Dom, instead he meets Scott, the Dom’s roommate. Then the play begins and hot play it is. And Tad, not being gay is surprised how much it turned him on. The 2nd Volume “Test of Endurance” brings him back to Sott’s gym and a workout turns into another hot encounter. The 3rd Volume “Sideline Submission” you meet Max and his playmate sub Great D/s play in this book causing another encounter for Scott and Tad. All three stories are sizzling hot with tastefully done BDSM scenes.. The journey is not over for Tad and I am looking forward to see where it goes, also interested in the dynamics of Scott and Max, are they just roommates or is there more? Kora Knight, thank you for these great stories and for taking us on Tad’s smoking hot journey.
I listened to the Audible edition narrated by the talented Michael Pauley. He is an awesome voice performer and storyteller. He brings the character to life and gives them heart and emotion. Thank you for another great listen!!
This bundle has just what I was looking for. It’s three great reads and a big teaser as well. Makes you want to read the rest.
