NOW A #1 INTERNATIONAL AMAZON BEST SELLERChanningThey say how far you go is directly correlated to how much you are willing to risk.As a snowboarder, I was used to risking a lot – specifically life and limb every time I flew down the mountain and into the air. This time though, I was risking it all. I’d already lost so much. Winning was all I had left. The truth? I hadn’t been invited to the X … had left.
The truth? I hadn’t been invited to the X Games, but my brother had. Beneath my snow clothes, mask, helmet, and goggles, who was going to be able to tell that it wasn’t Chance Ryder competing for the gold, but me, his twin sister?
The risk? The one man who could teach me what I needed to win was the one man I would be competing against.
The problem? I was falling for that very man. Hard.
And I never fell.
Especially when there was no snow to cushion my landing.
Wyatt
Wyatt Olsen always wins. That’s how the world knows me.
I was the best. The X Games, the Snowboarding Open, the Olympics.
I won everything – everything except the race against time, against age.
That, I had lost.
This was my last competition and I had no idea what was next.
My future was completely up in the air.
Until Channing Ryder crashed into my boards and my life.
She gave me purpose.
The only thing left for me to win was her.
Up in the Air is a standalone novel and the first book in the Winter Games series.more
Let’s start off by saying that this author is fairly new to us this year but, we have to say that we are loving the books we have read so far of hers and are so glad that we discovered her.
I really enjoyed this story as it was something new and different for us with a snowboarding theme and a first time for us and we really enjoyed it.
I loved Wyatt right from the very beginning as he was sweet, kind, affectionate, loving, sexy and a total gentlemen that always put his partners needs before his own. What we really loved about him the most is that he was so in tune with the emotions and needs of Channing and how she processed stuff whether it was in a good a bad way he always seemed to know what she needed it when she needed it. “So Sweet !”
Channing for me was not a like-able character at first as she was so standoffish and non approachable but, that did not stop Wyatt in anyway but, as the story progressed and we got to know her better and understood her better things started making sense. Channing was not one of those women who was really comfortable in her own skin as she was all tom-boy and really didn’t know how to act all girly and when she tried it was a clumsy attempt than you had the twin separation going on and than you had a women who was experiencing a whole other world and a whole lot of firsts and other than her craft which she was excellent and confident about all the other stuff was a learning experience for her .
Overall we loved the story and the camaraderie between friends and Ally and Emmett always sniping at one another and then you had that slow burn romance thing going that turned to fireworks.I loved that the fact that both Wyatt and Channing fell for one another when they were both struggling or floundering in their personal life but, once meeting one another they now had a clearer vision how to tackle the things that were weighing them down.
I love that this couple were perfect and made for one another because Wyatt was so patient and kind with Channing where others who have just written her off.
We love that Channing’s twin brother although dealing with the blow to his career and his own emotional pain and his leaving was not all selfish but, a sacrifice he was willing to make for his sisters happiness even though what was going on between the two of them was ripping out his heart too. What a great story infused with love and laughter and showed us just how messy life can get but, at the end of it all it just shows you that goals and ambition and being driven about your craft are fantastic things but, if you don’t slow down a bit a experience what others life treasures are within your reach you just might miss something spectacular!
If you haven’t read this book yet, do it. Do it right now. Up In the Air is the perfect mix of sinfully sexy and sweet. I loved every single word. Rebecca Sharp poured so much emotion into every page that my heart was bursting. The chemistry between the characters jumped off the page. The plot was fast-paced and I had to keep reading. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
When you start a new book by an author completely new to you there is a level of uncertainty as to how much you will like it. The unknown is the fun part. That uncertainty stayed with me until about page 5. Then I knew that I was in for an amazing book! My souls was consumed by this story and these characters.
Wyatt is so dreamy! A perfect book boyfriend. I love when the main guy is honestly such a sweetheart. It is a refreshing change from the stereotypical alphas that dominate the romance genre. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good alpha but I also love when that alpha is a sweet Guy. And Channing! Yes! A strong female character! Almost to a-fault, her strength while slightly used as a shield against the harshness of life at times it’s such a joy to watch her blossom into what she is meant to be and find her place. So many of us are are were in a place where we are trying to find where we belong and that is so attractive in a character because you can relate to it.
Not just Channing and Wyatt but the side, supporting characters as well. This author gave them a deep seed of what is so come without muddling the main story with too many tangents and side stories. With just enough support from them the story never felt like it was solely focused on the main relationship. There was an immense amount of emotion and conflict through them all leading to a rich and engaging story. I still kinda can’t with how beautiful and fun this book was. It’s a perfect book to snuggle with and lose yourself in.

What an amazing emotional read. Sports romance novels are totally one of my favourite but this is only the second book where the story is centered around snowboarding.
Channing has a chip on her shoulder cause her brother seems to be better than her and he has recently abandoned her due to his injuries. She does what any normal sane competitive twin sister will do – she registers for the competition he got invited too.
Wyatt is about to wrap up his winning career and is at a loss what to do next with his life. Running into Channing seems to be about the best thing for him. But he has to win over his biggest rival who just happens to be Channing’s twin brother.
Excellent storytelling, captivating characters, and writing that keeps you glued to each page. I highly recommend this story. I cant wait to read book 2 On the Edge.
3 1/2*
Channing has been in snowboarding competitions most of her life but the disappearance of her twin brother Chance after his accident has left her feeling so many emotions lost/betrayed/angry.
Wyatt has arrived to compete in the games not sure what’s left for his future after this competition he never expects to find the answer from the girl who knocks his snow boards over the one who has no idea who he is?
A lovely book which introduces you to some great characters bubbling with personalities.
Great start to this series
Love how this story wasn’t the typical girly girly getting the sexy man. She was able to be herself without all the extra “fluff” and the sexy snowboarder still fell for her. Great story. Awesome connection between the characters.
I love it!I have never snowboarded nyt now I really wanna try.Main characters chemistry is so hot.Slow seducing and all worth waiting. Both Wyatt and Channing have common intrest, snowboarding and shared attraction. They both competitive souls and they want to win.Channing though she lost her twin brother and sign in competition planing to pretend to be his brother.no one could never find out…right?Wyatt is waiting to play against Chance (Channing’s brother) but never imagine to fall in love Channing. Those sweet stolen moments just be close to each other…so romantic.still blushing when I think about it.Cannot wait read more of this serie.thank you 🙂
I couldn’t put this one down.. After I finished it I wanted more.
Absolutely loved this book. Highly recommend it. Full of romance that she started out not wanting. The way she described snowboarding makes it thrilling. Hope she has more coming.
