Too much internal dialog and not much between the characters. The plot was interesting but there were a lot of missed opportunities.
The female protagonist is on GroupMeet, dating guys, & talking about it on podcast. She’s sitting with her friends explaining to them how her dates work when Coop arrives with the male protagonist who broke her heart when he left for tour, close to 15 yrs ago. After 15 yrs the male protagonist hijacks the female protagonist mystery date but nothing comes from it. I didn’t like how the male protagonist was gone for so long. When he came back she still went on her scheduled dates. I didn’t enjoy Unwrapping Jade by Melanie Shawn. He left her for too long & when came back they didn’t focus on their relationship. I may have enjoyed Unwrapping Jade by Melanie Shawn. if the male protagonist didn’t leave for so long & if she didn’t go on dates. If one of her dates woulda been her hea than I would of enjoyed it.
15 years ago Hayden left to join the Army. Now he was back to try to win back Jade’s love.
Unwrapping Jade by Melanie Shawn is a fabulous contemporary second chance romance. The more I read from this author, the more I like her writing. Ms. Shawn has provided readers with a well-written book. I love the characters in this story. Jade has committed to 6 dates in 6 weeks and then doing a podcast with her friend about the dates. In return she gets a plug for her business. Hayden has been in love with Jade since he was 16 but ruined it when he went off and joined the Army. Now he’s back home and opening a business of his own. Hayden and Jade’s story is loaded with drama, humor, smokin’ hot sex and just a tiny bit of suspense. I enjoyed reading Unwrapping Jade and look forward to my next book by Melanie Shawn. Unwrapping Jade is book 8 of the Wishing Well, Texas Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I loved this second chance story for Jade and Hayden. This is a book that is in a series, but I believe you could read this as a stand-alone. Melanie Shawn writes contemporary stories that will melt your heart. This one is low angst and has a storyline that will keep you reading for more. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. An enjoyable read that will keep you entertained for the entirety.
Too much explicit sex.
This was such an amazing book!
Great characters! Fun storyline. You’re rooting for a few different potential suitors for Jade, because the author writes so well. First time reading this author, and definitely not my last!
Nice twist in the story.
Loved this book
Could not get into it.
It was a little more graphic than I expected!
Fun, fast moving story. Good characters.
Very enjoyable read.
I didn’t like all the curse words
Typical mindless romancs
Easy to read. But not very inventive. Typical man pursuing girl. The male lead is much more interesting than the intention of his desires. Book is written in 2st person of both characters.
Enjoyed it!
I didn’t want this to end. Very good
Enjoyable suspense of ending.
