EmmaA baby is all I’ve ever wanted.After almost dying on the operating table,I despise everything about motherhood,especially the little girl I brought into this world.It makes me sound awful; hell; I am awful. How can I make myself fall in love with a baby I feel no attachment to? TylerI don’t recognize my wife anymore.When I thought I might lose Emma during our baby’s delivery;she survived only … lose Emma during our baby’s delivery;
she survived only to reject the baby I love so much.
When I hold this baby, I fully understand unconditional love.

I literally devoured this book in about 24 hours. It was an emotional roller coaster, but I knew that going into it. I laughed and cried, scream and yelled and wanted to Choke both Emma and Tyler at various points. As someone who suffered from a mild case of postpartum depression so much of this book resonated with me. I think that Leigh Lennon did an incredible job with such a difficult and stigmatized subject. As usual it was nice to continue to get glimpses into all the other characters I have come to love with reading this series of standalone but interconnected books.
Omg, this series just keeps getting deeper! Emma and Tyler have their work cut out for them. This was a tough read, especially for anyone who has suffered from postpartum depression. Emma is in her head, fighting her way back to her family. Tyler is so grateful that both Emma and daughter are okay, but he wants his wife back too. The struggle is real, between learning how to be a dad and helping Emma with her own internal battles, he has his hands full. This was an emotional tale of love from start to finish!
This story gave me allt he feels. I felt so many emotions during this book.
Better grab a box of tissues. A whole box. If you want a book that gives you despair but brings you into a happy ending that you never thought possible, this is the book for you!
Emma and Tyler tried for years to have a baby so when Emma turns up pregnant it is the happiest day of their lives. Emma nearly dies giving birth to Aspen and she somehow holds the baby responsible. Emma has tried inpatient, outpatient and all kinds of therapy to no avail. Can Emma find her way back to her family before its too late?
Every book I have read by Leigh Lennon takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and Unwanted is no different. You are devastated by Emma’s story and cry for her family. This series will give you all the feels! I recommend this series to anyone who wants to get lost in a beautiful story.
This is a read that will slay you emotionally. This book sends readers on an emotional journey with Emma and Tyler. Your heart will in turns break and melt for this couple and what they go through. This is a book that sheds light on a painful issue that not everyone has first hand experience with, in a way that both entertains and inspires. A excellent read that will linger in your mind long after you finish the last page.

From the very beginning this book had me by the heart strings! I did not bother to read the blurb so I really didn’t know what it was about. My guess was it had something to do with an unwanted pregnancy. Right track of thinking….. not completely correct assumption. As a woman I can empathize with wanting a baby so badly. What I can not empathize with is then not wanting anything to do with that baby that I wanted. This story gives you a very emotional look into postpartum depression and the effects of a near death experience. Not just for the woman, but also for some of the family members that are also dealing with it.
Leigh did a fantastic job of making me feel the heartbreak that the family was going through. I will most definitely think twice if I ever come across a woman going through this. Emma is a very real real character. And fortunately for her she has a great support system, with just about the sweetest husband on the face of the earth! I don’t think that most men would put up with as much as he did. I so badly wanted to see if everything would work out for them that I had the hardest time putting this book down!
So NOT what I was expecting when going into this book! It was so much more emotional! I loved it!
I don’t know where to begin when it comes to giving this review the words it deserves. Being a mom of three kiddos I can’t fathom the heartache and emotions that revolve around post-partum depression and PTSD. With that being said, you can only imagine the emotional roller-coaster you go through reading this heartbreakingly beautiful story of a mother and wife trying to fight through her demons to be reunited with her soulmate and daughter. Be prepared for the ups and downs and definitely have your tissues handy because this read will leave you with so many feels!
