Monica Morgan is off limits. One-hundred percent untouchable. Too bad I didn’t know that when we first met. We were just two strangers in a club, drawn together by chemistry. Hot, SIZZLING chemistry. Imagine my surprise when I discover she’s my new boss. And now that we work together, she’s determined to keep it professional. My problem? I can’t forget the night we met. That searing kiss. The way … professional.
My problem? I can’t forget the night we met.
That searing kiss. The way she felt in my hands.
I find myself willing to break the rules to get closer to her.
Though she tries to fight it, I know she feels it, too. This pull.
It’s all in the way she fidgets whenever I’m around.
It’s all in those lingering, hungry looks she casts my way when she thinks no one is looking.
Despite the risk to my job that comes with pursuing her, I can’t seem to stay away.
I want to forget about the rules and make her mine.
Warning: This book is recommended for readers over 18 years of age.

Monica is a doctor, and the director of the ER department. Max is a newly graduated nurse, and gets a job at that ER. Before he started his job he went out to celebrate with his buddies. They went to a club to dance and drink and pick up some women. Monica was at that same club letting herself get lost in the music. Max was drawn to Monica. He just had to go dance with her….. and so their story begins.
You get the usual boss/subordinate relationship. With a mix of SHE is HIS boss and makes more money than he does. There is some drama. A bit of confrontations and them some groveling. This one had me crying! I was totally rooting for Max and Monica to have everything together!
I’m just going to come out and say it. I love Isabel Love’s Unexpected Love series. I started this series with Unconventional which blew me away and now after finishing Untouchable I can with most certainty say that I’m a fan and addicted to her words. I already knew who Max and Monica were because I’d already read Unconventional but that didn’t ruin Untouchable for me. Not at all because not much was divulged in Unconventional besides them being a couple.
Untouchable is all about them meeting, dating and how their relationship evolves into more and them struggling with her being Max’s boss’ boss.
I loved their first meeting in the club. I don’t know how Isabel Love does it but damn, she knows how to write eroticism and seduce me. That scene was delicious and really set the tone for Max and Monica. Especially how they are as characters. I loved how slowly they took their relationship, really got to know each other and date. They come across as real people because of their day job and them going out on dates and having fun. Their chemistry is smoldering and every scene with them in or out of bed was amazing. So hot!
The other characters are just as fabulous and their friendships shows how important they are to one another and are supportive no matter what.
Untouchable is Isabel Love’s debut and she nailed it. Wow. I loved the story and its wonderful characters. Her flawless and seductive prose only leaves me wanting more.

I really loved this book it was just something about it that really got me
Monica is a strong female character dealing with the typical male-dominated profession, trying to find balance. Max is a sexy nurse with a great personality. When they come together it is like magic, but finding that balance is thought. Some seriously sexy scenes and a good story.
I chose this series because I like Greg Boudreaux and the 3rd book is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin. I am very #NarratorMotivated! Narration was great! Lidia is a new narrator for me, but I will definitely listen to more of her work. I enjoyed this book!
This is Isabel Love’s first debut book and it was a pleasure to read it. If this is what you get with the first book, hang on to your hats because it will only get better from here.
Untouchable is Max and Monica’s story. Both come from different backgrounds and different ways of life. The chemistry between the two is so undeniable that you will feel from the first time they meet.
I was captivated at the first page and that did not waiver right throughout the book.
This book is about attraction, falling in love with someone so completely opposite and learning that no one’s but your own opinion matters when it comes to the heart. That no title or privilege should determine who you fall in love with and that it can be taken away in a heart beat. Overcoming your fear is what makes you a winner.
I have the highest praise for Isabel Love and highly recommend her as an author and her books. I look forward to reading more of her work. Congratulations on an amazing debut.
Sweet, sexy, emotionally charged..4.5 stars!
Working long hours at the ER with no time for destressing, Monica finally treats herself to a rare night out at the club to blow off some steam. Dr. Monica Morgan can’t believe she’s dancing with the sexiest man that presses all the right buttons to her inner siren. Getting hot and heavy with the tall, luscious man on the dance floor is feeling too good, and reluctantly, Monica steals away before Mr. Blue Eyes can find out her name.
Max Spencer felt the undeniable chemistry with the hottie on the dance floor. Their bodies practically sizzled while he was allowed to touch her. He just wished he got her name and number. But Max would soon find out his mystery woman would be his boss’s boss at his new job. Max Spencer is the new nurse in the ER at the hospital Monica works.
Untouchable is a great debut for Isabel Love, and I enjoyed how she navigates Max and Monica through real life problems. Their attraction and undeniable chemistry brings them together forming a great friendship and romance, but there is conflict they have to work through. For one, their romance is forbidden at the office. Monica wants to keep their affair a secret a while longer, and Max thinks he may be the dirty secret she’s keeping because of the glaring differences in their status, their age, and the disparity in income. Loved the plot, and the alternating POVs where we are privy to all the intense emotions and problems. So glad Monica decided to face the truth about her feelings for Max, and accept what was important in her life: a real chance at love and happiness. And wonderful secondary characters. Great job, Ms. Love.
I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is Isabel Love’s debut novel. It’s a workplace romcom with a beta hero, age gap and social status issues. It felt original and fresh, different from the romances with alphas that take what they want.
Monica is a doctor and the head of the ER department. She’s uptight and professional at all times, to an extend that she doesn’t do anything that would put her in bad light. Monica wants to keep her good image. She keeps her life very private. Max is a nurse. He’s easygoing and very likable. All of his co-works like him. Max isn’t pushy and gives time and space when asked for it. He’s the opposite of Monica. Despite this, they make a great couple. But is Monica ready for the relationship that Max is asking? Will she fight for him, or will she let other’s opinion come in between?
Love wrote a funny, sexy, and well written story. It was easy to get in to it. Love was able to capture the hospital feel. I know nurses and for what I hear, it’s similar to what I read in Untouchable. I laughed, felt the angst, and liked the characters. I would recommend it for those whom want something different from the alpha heroes. I loved the hero being a beta. This is my first read of a beta hero. Max might not be an alpha, but he’s as swoon worthy as one.

Audiobook review
It took me awhile to get into it, though. I felt like it lacked some emotion/character’s personality in the narrators’ voices. Also there were times when it was difficult to distinguish between characters when they were speaking to each other. A slight change of voice would have helped. But it got better as I continued to listen. During the last half, I got lost listening to it. At one point I wasn’t even hearing what was going on in my surroundings. Don’t know if it was because the story is so good that it pulled me in, or because of the narrators, or both. The narrators grew on me. I especially like Greg Boudreaux’s voice. I think that’s how Max would sound.

I actually started the second book first, but when I realized that one of the couples is in this book, I stopped the second one and bought this. I thought it was pretty good for the authors debut novel. I liked the whole male nurse and older doctor storyline. I didn’t want to miss anything in the second book so I’m glad I read this one first.

For a debut novel, this story was incredible! I was instantly drawn into Monica & Max’s story, as they had an unbelievable chemistry between them from the time they met on the crowded dance floor. Once they started working together, their relationship definitely took off…..and I know Monica was worried about the staff finding out about them, but never once did they let their relationship interfere with taking care of their patients. Both Max & Monica definitely had some insecurities about relationships in general, which definitely took a toll on them. And I definitely respected Max for taking a step back when Monica refused to be open about their relationship. It made me totally sad, but I understood where Max was coming from on the issue. Overall, my most favorite thing about this story was how Max helped Monica to open up and be a little more free in life. Going out and enjoying life, and even work. Having her get in on the pranks was so neat, especially as it helped her staff warm up to her more.
