Ways to screw up the MMA comeback I’ve been working so hard on: 1. Check out my trainer’s little sister in front of him, which gets me hit in the head 2. Make excuses to stay at the gym afterhours so I can watch her face scrunch up while she balances the books 3. Forget that she’s leaving at the end of the summer and we’re supposed to be sticking to just friends 4. Get caught making out with …
4. Get caught making out with her, earning even more hellacious training sessions, along with a warning to stay away
5. Switch my focus to proving I won’t stop fighting until she’s mine
Each book in the Fighting for Her series is STANDALONE:

No matter the canvas, Ms. Madsen let’s her humor shine through in the strength of her characters and her dedication to winning readers hearts.
I loved this book.
It was funny and engaging, and so easy to read, I just couldn’t put it down.
Brooklyn is a badass awesome chick, and Shane sure made the most of his bad boy starter kit.
It’s been a while since I dived into the MMA cage trove and boy, did I miss it.
Can’t wait to read Liam’s story.
5 stars and a K.O.
Loved it
I picked this one because of Cindi Madsen’s name on the cover and she didn’t let me down. Shane’s brash, cocky attitude is fun and not annoying, while Brooklyn definitely can give as good as she gets. Together they throw sparks for all sorts of reasons and it’s a treat to be there to witness it. There’s also a good amount of family drama on Brooklyn’s side, as well as some minor setup to the next story with one of her brothers. It all flows well together and helps to flesh out the complications of a relationship with Shane.
And speaking of complications … I should warn people that Brooklyn is in a relationship for part of the book. There is no physical cheating but the interactions between her and Shane have caused some reviewers to lower their rating. To me it was a little (naturally) awkward, especially the inevitable break-up, but it seemed a realistic reaction to the situation they find themselves in. Just a heads up, though, if this is something that might bother you.
With family issues to resolve and an attraction that she’s finding difficult to resist, Brooklyn’s summer may not be going as smooth as she’d hoped. But it definitely turned into a darn entertaining read for me 🙂

Shane Knox was a prodigy in the MMA cages.
He trained, he won. But when his adoptive mother’s illness left him unfocused, he lost two fights in a row, the people around him did not understand. And they left him. Even his girlfriend.
Now he’s back.
Coaching with the famous Blake Roth, and having his sons as coaches (Liam and Finn), Shane knows he has every chance of winning the belt.
But when Blake’s daughter, Brooklyn, appears in the gym to spend the summer and help her father organize the paperwork, Shane feels there is a new danger there. And a new hope.
Brooklyn had her life in San Francisco, not San Diego.
She was a painter, wanted to have her paintings on display in some fancy gallery. In addition, she did not want to repeat the history of her parents when she saw her mother holding a bottle in tears after her husband’s confession to have another affair.
No, definitely Brooklyn wanted to stay away from MMA fighters.
But her brother Finn appeared at her prom asking her to give their father another chance, she decided to spend the summer with them.
Soon after arriving she meets Shane in the cage.
He was tall, strong and enigmatic. And he made a point of stalker her.
Together, they heal each other’s wounds, and a stronger feeling begins to grow.
The difficult thing would be to reconcile her life in S. Francisco and his training in S. Diego.
Or would it have something more to disrupt this love to work?…
A contemporary novel with doses of truth, optimism and forgiveness.
A delicious story.
Can’t wait for Liam and Chelsea’s story.
5 stars
I am so excited about this new series! I haven’t read many MMA books but every one I have has been full of adrenaline and super alpha men. This one has that in spades.
Shane was at the top of his game when personal issues put him in a slump and on a losing streak. Now no one wants to take a chance on him, except the owners of Team Domination. He doesn’t have any other team options and doesn’t have time for distractions so he needs to stay away from Brooklyn. Brooklyn is back home to help her family get Team Domination back into shape. She has a quiet, steady boyfriend who knows nothing about MMA waiting for her to come home. She has zero interest in dating another fighter so she needs to steer clear of Shane.
The chemistry between these two was off the charts amazing. There were a lot of reasons why they shouldn’t even think about being together but none of that mattered. It was like fate put them both in the Team Domination gym at the same time. I love the set up of this series. I’m really looking forward to what comes next for Team Domination!!!
Until You’re Mine was my first book by author Cindi Madsen, it certainly won’t be the last though. This was a heart-thumping fast-paced story set in the world of MMA. Shane Knox was set to reach the height of his fighting career when he started to lose control. After being defeated in one match too many, his manager, his girlfriend and the people he thought were his close friends all turned their backs on him.
Months later, Shane is ready to get his life and his career back on track. He’s got a new coach and is training with Team Domination in San Diego, he’s ready to take it to the next level.
Everything is going great, until she walks in the door.
Brooklyn Roth grew up watching men like Shane, she even fell for one once and had her heart trampled in the process. She’s always been at the center of the action but her love is for art. She’s an artist and when she needed space, she walked away from her father’s gym in San Diego and started over in San Francisco. She’s happy there and has a nice steady boyfriend.
When her brothers ask her to come back to the gym to help out for the summer, she’s hesitant to do so. She and her father didn’t part on the best of terms. But familial ties are hard to break.
Shane was the first thing Brooklyn saw when she came home. She pegged him as just another arrogant fighter, but as she starts to spend more and more time with him, she finds out the there’s more to this built, sexy as sin bruiser.
Shane just needs one good fight to get his career of to a brilliant start and Brooklyn’s dad’s knows exactly who that should be. Brooklyn’s ex-boyfriend. Conrad ‘Croc’ Rochenski.
But, life is never simple and Brooklyn is forced to make a decision when she finally gets a place in a gallery exhibition in San Francisco that she’s been hoping for.
Now she has to choose between her dreams or Shane’s. They can’t have both, or so it seems. She’s been down this road once before and it never worked.
Can she let Shane go?
Will he let her?
Or will he tell her he won’t give up, Until You’re Mine.
Cindi Madsen is a new author to me. But that is all about to change, I love sports romance but this is the first I have read in the world of MMA and I’m hooked.
Shane Knox has it all only one fight away from the championship then life sent him blow and that’s when he found out people only want to be around winners…. until he meet Team Domination a gym run by a family who are also on their uppers maybe this will work for both of them, what Shane didn’t expect was the owners sassy daughter who should be off limits to start haunting his dreams, will he risk it all for love and will she take a chance on yet another MMA fighter……
This book was slow to start but I’m so glad I kept going, it’s a romance that’s full of love and passion and characters that have depth. Looking forward to more from this author
3.75 stars–UNTIL YOU’RE MINE is the first instalment in Cindi Madsen’s contemporary, adult FIGHTING FOR HER romantic, MMA series focusing the Roth family: Finn, Liam and Brooklyn Roth who, along with their father Blake, own and operate the Team Domination professional MMA Club. This is artist and only daughter Brooklyn Roth, and MMA fighter Shane Knox’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Shane and Brooklyn) UNTIL YOU’RE MINE follows the forbidden relationship between Team Domination’s newest acquisition, MMA fighter and champion Shane Knox, and Brooklyn Roth, a struggling artist and the only daughter of Team Domination owner Blake Roth. With the finances and paperwork a mess, artist and painter Brooklyn Roth is called home to San Diego to clean up the mistakes of the previous bookkeeper and accountant. From their first meeting, Shane and Brooklyn’s reaction to one another is palpable; their sexual attraction to one another is sizzling and hot, and does not go unnoticed by the men in charge but Brooklyn is in a committed relationship, a relationship that will suffer as Brooklyn is pulled into the whirlwind that is Shane Knox. What ensues is the building relationship between Brooklyn and Shane, and the potential fallout as their time together comes to an end with Shane’s approaching championship fight.
Brooklyn Roth is no stranger to heartache; a previous relationship with an MMA fighter ended badly, and too many memories of her parents’ disastrous marriage leave our heroine struggling between head and heart as it pertains to our story line hero. Shane Knox had it all once and needs a championship fight to bring back the glory of what once was. Partnering with Team Domination meant Shane had another chance at the top prize including a shot at a happily ever after with the woman he loved.
The relationship between Shane and Brooklyn is one of forbidden love: Brooklyn is the boss’s daughter, in a committed relationship (or so she claims) but Shane is persistent and struggles to accept the boundaries Brooklyn has drawn between our leading couple. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. Addressing the elephant in the room, there is no cheating per say but the emotional affair between Shane and Brooklyn, and Shane’s pursuit of Brooklyn, and his persistent flirting and sexy banter will be the death of her current relationship back home. The early one on one banter is rife with nasty innuendo and cut downs that felt more like two siblings fighting to get the upper hand.
We are introduced to Team Domination and the Roth family of MMA fighters: father and patriarch Blake Roth, and his sons Liam and Finn; Shane’s mother Tammy Oliver, his best friend Hector; and Brooklyn’s boyfriend Trey, and her ex (MMA fighter) Conrad ‘Croc’ Rochenski. Liam and Chelsea’s story line is next in UNTIL WE’RE MORE.
The world building looks at the battle to be number one, and the fractured dynamics of one family pulled apart and pushed together by the world of the MMA.
UNTIL YOU’RE MINE is an energetic story line. The premise is exciting and realistic; the romance is sensual and passionate; the characters are spirited and colorful.
I love when a book is recommended to me, so I take a chance on it and love it. Not sure why I haven’t read this book before. This was a cute, sweet, and entertaining story. Brooklyn and Shane’s chemistry was undeniable, their banter was fun, and their overall connection was amazing. I enjoyed this book.
Brooklyn is back in town to help out at her family’s gym temporarily. She doesn’t expect to meet Shane, one of the fighters. Before long she’s fighting her attraction that she doesn’t want to feel because of past history. Until You’re Mine is a great read from Cindi Madsen. Before long you’re drawn into her world of MMA and won’t be able to putting it down. Be sure to add it to your TBR.
From the moment I took a peek at this smokin’ hot cover with the sweaty, muscled body wearing nothing but unbuttoned jeans and hand wraps, I just knew I had to give this “new to me author” a chance and check out this fighter romance. It wasn’t long into Until You’re Mine and Cindi Madsen had me tied up in knots over the sexual tension and heart melting moments between Shane and Brooklyn. I couldn’t turn my head away and miss a single word and verbal punch that they threw at one another. I was kept on my toes from the first page to the last wondering what was going to happen next.
Shane Knox had my heart knocked out and had claimed victory over it before the end of the first chapter. I loved seeing him grow as a person and become completely enamored with Brooklyn. Shane is the hot and broody type that makes your blood pump all the harder when he puts on his wraps and steps in the cage. I fell I love with his heart, muscles, and his sexy moves!
Brooklyn Roth is a woman who has her mind set on the future filled with beautiful canvases full of vivid color. What she does not plan on is coming home for the summer to help her estranged father and brothers with their boxing gym. The other wrench thrown in her plans is in the form of the sexiest muscles and smile around. Little did she know that this fighter is out to win and that includes her body and soul. Brooklyn had my heart with her feisty and stubborn nature and her ability to love after such a heartbreak. She is a fighter through and through and doesn’t even know it!
Cindi Madsen delivers a gut punching love story full of heat, some laughter, and lots of feels! I highly recommend Until You’re Mine for a romance that will make your temperature rise while filling your heart to the brim. Though this was the first book, it will not be the last that I read by this talented author. It wasn’t long into Shane and Brooklyn’s story and I could smell the sweat of the boxing gym and see the steam rising between these two along with feeling like I had become a part of Team Domination. Cindi’s writing is multifaceted, fascinating, and had me falling head over heels for the all the gorgeous fighters in her fictional universe. I am obsessed and ready for more time with Team Domination!
I really enjoyed this writer’s style of writing. I loved the dialogue between the two main characters and the ending wasn’t your standard HEA
I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
