Sage Mayson had Kimberly Cullen once, and the memory of that brief encounter has tortured him since the moment he pushed her away. He should have followed his gut, but he didn’t, and now he’s left watching the woman he wants more than anything from afar. Kimberly vowed to protect her heart from Sage, but when her sister is murdered and her world starts to fall apart, he’s the one person she finds … person she finds herself leaning on.
Getting a second chance is something Sage knows is rare. He’s not going to squander the one he’s been given, and he won’t take no for an answer when it comes to making Kim his.
But what Sage doesn’t know is Kim has a secret that could leave them both devastated and heartbroken.
more
Sage met the love of his life one night and due to Kimberly’s own twin sister’s malicious tricks, lost her when he didn’t believe it wasn’t Kimberly who tried to deceive and drug him to rob him. He didn’t believe that she has a twin sister and said hurtful things to her, effectively hurting her and making her not give him a second chance when finally found out she was telling the truth. As you know, in Until Ashlyn, when Ashlyn was kidnapped, she had confused Kimberly’s twin sister, thinking it was Kimberly, and that shook Sage up pretty bad because they all thought that she was the one who suffered terribly before dying tragically. It was sad hearing it in Until Ashlyn and it was sad hearing it here as well. Kimberly wished that she and her sister would have gotten along but they didn’t, partly due to the fact that she was adopted to a good family and her sister stayed with her biological mother who wasn’t really a good mother at all. You’ll see how horrible her biological mother is in here and see that sometimes family doesn’t always have to have the same blood to be loved. Kimberly had a lot of support from her family and friends, encouraging her to give Sage a second chance and to live life happy without feeling guilty about it due to her sister’s tragic death.
As you know, there’s some health issues that Kimberly has and she’s afraid about telling Sage and that he’ll probably leave her for it. So when he found out, accidentally finding her medicine, he blows up, hurt for not telling him and afraid of losing her. I understood his reaction and luckily he goes after her when she thinks he’s left her for good and she runs to her parents’ home and makes her understand that nothing will ever make him leave her, not even her illness and that he will be there with her, always <3.
I loved the epilogue and how despite her not being able to have kids with Sage, they found other ways to have start a family of their own by adopting. It was a beautiful moment when they arrived at the hospital and first saw their baby boy after being born and you could see that even though baby boy Noah didn't have their DNA, they considered him theirs, part of the Mayson clan no matter what 🙂 <3
Can't wait to see what Until Harmony will bring with Harley and Harmony's love story <3
I love Sage he reminds me so much of his father Nico. Once Sage sets his mind to something and realizes what he wants he goes at it head on till he succeeds. And what he wants is Kim, whether she likes it or not. Sage is coming for her.
You have to go read this BOOM!!!! It’s sooo good, you’ll love it.

One thing I have come to love about Aurora Rose Reynolds books, is that each one can truly be read as a standalone. I personally haven’t read all of the Until Series but I have picked up some of the books along the way and I never feel lost or that I am missing something. She makes each story their own, but still adds in some of the characters you love to read about from the rest of the series.
I also love that in her books she continues to give us that Alpha Hero, who will also melt your heart. She knows how to give us the perfect combination of bossy Alpha and swoony sweetheart when it comes to her Heroes. But I will say again, like I have in the past, if you aren’t a fan of the over the top Alpha Hero and an insta-love storyline, then you really should pass on these books. These two things are always present in ARR’s books. That’s personally why I love her books 😉
Until Sage is the second book in her Until Him Series, which is a spinoff of her Until Series. This story is told in Dual POV and in the first person. I loved the storyline and that in the end I was left feeling happy and content. I will admit that when I read the preview to this book in Until Ashlyn, I thought this book was going to tear at my heartstrings a little more than it did. I thought the Kim’s storyline was kind of glossed over and there could’ve been so much more done with it, but it didn’t take away from my true enjoyment of this book. One thing I really liked about this book was that the prologue was the backstory to Sage and Kim. Yes it was kind of long but I think it set the stage for the rest of their story to come.
In this book we follow the story of Sage and Kim. It is along the lines of a second chance romance, because as I said, in the prologue we learn of Sage and Kim’s first meeting and falling for each other, but then there was a miscommunication which drove a wedge between them. Then when we get to chapter 1 it’s in the present time and Sage and Kim have been separated for some time, but Sage is determined to get Kim back. This is a fun, sexy and at times sweet journey for two people who were meant to be together.
I also loved that we get to see other characters from past books in this story. What I love about ARR’s writing, is that when she brings in past characters, they are only there as supporting roles. Yes we get updates on them and what is happening in their lives, but it doesn’t over take the main couple of the story. The focus was still on Sage and Kim!!!
So if you are a fan of an over the top alpha male who goes after what he wants and a story that has spice, laughs and love in it, then pick up Until Sage. I think you will really enjoy the book!!
Sage……*sigh, Damn that man! Any who….another fantastic book in this series!
Sage believes he has found his BOOM with Kim, after just 24 hours together and Kim is ready to throw caution to the wind and see where this is going. But when a week passes and he hasn’t been in contact, she is left feeling hurt especially when his accusations are untrue.
Sage realises he has screwed up massively and goes all out to prove to Kim that she is all he wants. But she is hiding something, will it prove to be too much?
Loved this so much!!
Sage Mayson knew he made a mistake where Kimberly Cullen was concerned. He felt something, the big boom, his parents would call it but he blew it almost as quickly as he had it. Sage knows he has to earn Kimberly’s trust again but she is reluctant to get involved at all, even going as far as finding some creative ways to keep him at a distance.
I don’t want to divulge too much but I was so thrilled with this story, I have been waiting. Loved Sage, he is pure alpha when it comes to Kimberly and he is a bit more bossy than the other men in the series. Kimberly is a fantastic and inspirational heroine, she had me shedding a few tears in this wonderfully written story. 5 big bold stars.
The entire Until series is by far one of my favourite series out in the book world 🙂 I was eagerly awaiting this book and I wasn’t dissapointed. It’s been a rollercoaster ride so far and can’t wait to see what is in store next! Another amazing read and 5 stars for me.
Kimberly and Sage have a history; one where Sage walked away when he knows in his heart he shouldn’t have. But now after Kmberly’s sister has been found murdered, he is determined to try and win her back, no matter what it takes. Every step of the way she lets him into her heart but there’s a secret looming over them that may tear them apart in the end. Both will have to decide if their love is worth fighting for…
I stumbled on to the world of the Maysons by accident and boy am I happy I did. I love all the Until books and Until Sage did not disappoint.
My review: https://storiesinreview971130128.wordpress.com/2018/11/10/my-review-for-until-sage-by-aurora-rose-reynolds-5/
Sage is sexy when he’s all alpha, “there is nothing friendly about the things I want to do to you Kimberly,” he growls…” Sage thinks he’s the boss, “You’re not effing marrying anyone else,” he growls, squeezing my thigh. “And there will be no wedding. The dress and flowers are cool. You can have both those things in Vegas.” Aurora is always one of my must read authors, I love her writing and her characters, and I love that at the end of her books we sometimes get a glimpse of what’s coming up next
Sage Mayson got stuck between two women and he thought is was one and he felt something for her until her sister betrayed him. He hurt Kimberly Cullen so badly that she decided she can’t be with him but he won’t give up. When tragic events cause Kim and Sage to be together the sparks fly but Kim is still unsure about him and she has a secret that once it comes out Sage might walk away forever. Wow! This series just gets better and better with every book. I loved Sage and Kim, they were perfect for each other. I love the Mayson family and how they are so open to everyone.
As you already know…this series it total book crack. Trust me when I say that I am not joking or making this shit up…BOOK CRACK. These two meet and share a hot as hell night together. Then Sage acts like an ass when a situation happens with her twin sister, that he doesn’t know about. It’s not what you think, but the sister pisses him off and he thinks it’s Kim.
A tragic accident throws them back together. Fast forward and Sage becomes a professional at groveling. And I mean he gets damned creative with it. He gets a shit ton of points for it. She finally gives him a second chance, not that I think he would have backed down, but then he finds out about something else and again says stuff he just can’t take back. He really, really has to learn to think before he speaks, but he really does treat her well.
This was a safe read, with a possessive alpha, a sweet female and a shit ton of heat. We get baby batter, an epilogue with multiple time frames and an hea.
Sage get’s his “boom” with a few twists and misunderstandings
Another BOOM-tastic novel from Aurora Rose Reynolds!
I will never, ever get enough of ARR’s books! I know, I know…never say never. But Aurora will always be the exception. I’ve read every Until book, and they just keep getting better, and better!
Until Sage was beautifully written – a powerful love story with all the feels! The character dynamic between Sage and Kim sparked the pages, and sizzled throughout the entire story. I love how Aurora mixes the emotional elements of lust and intrigue with apprehension and uncertainty. Because that’s exactly what the characters endure while navigating their complicated relationship. The lust and desire Sage and Kim feel for one another seems to want to overshadow the difficulties of navigating their new relationship. But the yearning to learn more about each other is what drives the characters to prove that their connection is purely more than physical. And with the misunderstandings and secrets that challenge their relationship from the beginning, it makes Sage and Kim fight even harder for what they really want.
Aurora Rose Reynolds undoubtedly knows how to write riveting and wistful romances! Until Sage features the epic BOOM we love from her stories, but it’s the poignant story lines and authentic emotional connections that truly make her books one-of-a-kind.
An exceptional must-read, that is sure to make your heart melt!
What a great story. The continuing saga of the Mayson family lives on and the good news is that there are so many of them that we’ll be able to read about them for a long time. This story features Sage and Kim. Sage is the adopted son of Sophie and Nico, who are featured in an earlier Until book. He and Kim have a LOT of twists and turns in their relationship due to misunderstandings and misconceptions but through it all, the one thing that is very clear is that Sage loves Kim.
I loved this book for lots of reasons. I like the balance between steamy love making (which is REALLY HOT) and really touching scenes where they express their love for each other. Some of these scenes are romantic but some aren’t, they’re just really sweet and heartfelt. I liked that the issue of what it’s like to love someone with a chronic illness is featured in the story and for once, there is no near-death scenario that makes everyone suddenly appreciate how much they really love each other, etc. Instead, the issue is addressed in a very realistic way: it’s a challenge but totally doable, people adjust and move on with their lives.
I am an adoptive mom, so I really loved how adoption is so prominently featured in the story in such an honest and realistic way. All the different perspectives of all the people involved in the adoption: birth mothers, adoptive parents, adopted children are portrayed in the story. Each of the characters in the adoption triad dealt with the issue differently. My one complaint would be that birth mothers tend to be so negatively portrayed in fiction and while some of the birth mothers in this story weren’t negatively portrayed, some were. I hope at some point authors will portray birth mothers as multifaceted as they portray their other characters. All birth mothers aren’t drug addicts and scheming liars, many are very brave, selfless young women who place their children for adoption so the children can have a chance at a better life. I must admit that this book is one of my favorite in the series and I look forward to reading the next book.
I like the fact that all Kim has been through she is still very independent and strong.
“I want to know everything.” He turns away from me to face the windshield. “But I’m thinking that will all come with time.”
I love all of these Mayson men! Aurora Rose Reynolds never fails to give me an alpha that I want to fall in love with me. In this case, Sage Mayson is just that man. He comes off as a bit rough, and maybe even rude, but his heart …
Things I love about ARR and her series, is the way that no matter how much I enjoy the story, I can always feel something. Since I began the Until series, I have wanted to be a part of this group. The women are so funny, strong, and independent; the men are a bit hot-headed, but protective and caring with their families.
For this story, I wish there could have been a little … more. More within the development of the relationship for Sage and Kim. I know that’s not how this series rolls, and I get it, but my heart absolutely wanted to get more deeply involved!
I definitely enjoyed Sage and Kim quite a bit. I was aggravated at Kim for a bit, and then was equally aggravated at Sage. In the end, they did present a picture of love that always makes my heart flutter “…then get up and head around the island to get a mug and make myself some tea, but Sages tops me with a hand to my waist before I make it to the cupboard. “I made you tea,” he informs, reaching over and handing me a cup of tea. I take a sip, realizing it’s just how I like it–dark English Breakfast tea with a little bit of honey. “Thanks.”‘ How. Freaking. Sweet. It’s the little things like this, in real life and in stories, that get my heart involved. For me, it’s always the small, ordinary tasks that people remember and help us with that make me swoon.
I think this is a great addition to the Until Series and I cannot WAIT for the next one! I love getting to go back and visit this world and learning about all the kids grown up!
