Not all heroes are good guys. With a body count on his soul and blood on his hands, Killian Nox lived in the gray. Ruthlessly single-minded, if he wanted something, it was his. And when it came to the gorgeous lass with a fiery attitude, he didn’t just want her.He needed her. With southern-bred manners and a snark all her own, Augusta ‘Gus’ Allan was a connoisseur of cheap wine, delicious Mexican … cheap wine, delicious Mexican food, and good TV. Unfortunately, her taste in men wasn’t as well-developed. When her knight in shining armor turned out to be a douche in tinfoil, Gus never expected her real hero to be a sexy-accented, tattooed beast of a man.
But he was exactly who she needed.
Gus had no clue how comforting a monster in the dark could be…
Until Nox.
Warning: Recommended for readers 18+ due to awesome things like adult content and language… wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
This Happily Ever Alpha World novella is a crossover of The Hyde Series and Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until Series. It features glimpses of familiar faces from Hyde and Seek, Best Kase Scenario, and Until November. However, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

One of the things that I value most about this author are her female characters, they are strong, independent women who know how to fend for themselves and who do not need someone to rescue them. But when HE arrives eagerly to help, they know how to allow themselves to be helped. So are Nox and Gus. Perfect for each other with all their imperfections.
This story had me when Killian stated that Gus could move in with him when she caught a girl in her boyfriend’s apartment on the day she was moving in! From there the story went into overdrive. Killian was a sexy guy with an accent that draws you in not to mention his endearments to Gus. He is an alpha man that can back his play while being loving and kind to his girl. Over all this story will keep you glued to the pages of the drama and action that Killian and Gus bring to the pages.
Loved Nox and Gus
I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This story is book 3 of the Hyde series but also ties into Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series.
**Triggers**
talk of drug addict parents, parents dying, murder
**Spoilers**
Killian Nox, Scottish/Irish man raised in America by his mom. Gets involved in illegal stuff and spends some time in jail. A good/bad guy.
Augusta aka Gus, raised by her grandparents, she has always tried to be the good girl, always doing whats right. She leaves her home to go to school in Boston.
Gus needs a place to live temporarily so the guy she has been seeing invites her to move in. Unfortunately when she arrives, a woman answers the door.
Nox lives across the hall and witnesses the drama as it unfolds. He is intrigued by her. Since he has to leave town, he says she can stay at his place.
Chemistry between the two of them, a bit of excitement. HEA
Nox 4 Gus 4 Story4
Wow she’s a firecracker. He’s strong and silent. But they accept and like each other. He’s so different than I was thinking he would be. I am also glad he got his happy ending!
5’s I loved this book. Gus (Augusta) is the h and Nox is the H. Gus is small but feisty MIT student, and Nox is a dangerous beast of a man. They meet when Gus needs a helping hand, and boy is Nox more than willing and able to give it. There’s instant chemistry that she thinks is one sided and he doesn’t want to take advantage of. Nox is the kind of man you want as your friend, as an enemy you hope he NEVER finds you. He’s not a good guy. He’s not a bad guy either. He’s just the right guy for certain situations. He’s definitely the right guy for Gus. Gus is a southern girl trying to make it in Boston while going to school. Through a series of events she ends up temporarily homeless, for like 2 seconds. The story takes off from there I can’t really say much or it will give everything away. Read the book!!!!!! You won’t regret it.
